It is conveinently located near historic Charleston and is only a 10 minute drive to the beaches on Sullivans Island. Relax on the patio with a cocktail and your loved one while enjoying the nice South Carolina sunshine! Or stroll over to the pool for a quick dip and to cool off.
All of the linens and towels are provided.
For nightlife, a drive into Charleston for a 5 star meal and a romantic carriage ride under the magestic magnolias. Or, you can simply stroll one of our beautiful beaches.

We love the room ,it was spotless and had everything we needed for a great stay .We stayed here on our way from our rental properties VRBO # 403928 and #355642 at the Hawaiian inn in Daytona beach Florida to our home in New York..We spent 5 night to see historical Charleston,this property is only minutes away from downtown and a short distance to the beaches and Shrimp boat lane,a great place to dine and see the sun set, right in Mount Pleasant...We love the pool area.Check in was smooth and easy.This is the best value in the Charleston area...thank you again for everything.. My husband and I have spent many vacations at VBRO properties, but this property was one of the best for value and location. The pictures are accurate and the location is gated, close to the beaches, whole Foods, Trader Joe's to pick up a picnic lunch. We brought our own beach chairs and rented an umbrella at Isle of Palms for 10.00 a day. The only negative is the construction on the Savannah Highway one night we hear trucks most the night which we knew was unavoidable. The contruction will make the area even more walkable. We hope to return to the area and stay longer maybe become a snow bird :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

We were in Charleston for a convention. We usually try to go through VRBO as we have generally had good results. This cottage was perfect for our needs. Driving over the Ravenell Bridge on a rainy night was a sight to behold-----so pretty! The location was great--about 15 min to downtown Charleston. Wonderful restaurants within minutes of the cottage. It was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out and feel at home. The pictures on VRBO are accurate. Nice quiet, secure community. Lovely folks---staff and residents. Probably not the top choice for families with small children as the pool is reserved for residents. But the beach is an easy drive. Other age groups will find it perfectly suitable and an opportunity to enjoy interacting with the older residents. The rental process was very simple. We will certainly keep this rental info in our file for future reference. We did not know it was an assisted living facility. The apartment needs a tv in each bedroom.Overall it was clean and quiet. There were no other children to play with at the pool. This would be a great vacation place for older couples who don't have children.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+.
Owner response: We are not an assited living facility. As I tell everyone who inquires, we are a retirement community for seniors 55+. Our community is made up of 99 cottages. We have furnished cottages that we rent for short term vacation rentals as well as month or longer snowbird rentals. The reason there were no children in the pool is because schools in our district return to school in mid August. Also, our pool is reserved for our residents and there family members. thank you,

If your days are available-book it now! This is a gated retirement community & it is pristine. The cottages are like new inside, amenities are great, & the location is perfect for Isle of Palms beaches. Enjoy the pool or visit with the wonderful staff or residents. This place is Mt Pleasant's best kept secret. We will return next summer.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

As college friends who live several states apart, we wanted to spend our second annual girls' trip near Charleston, SC. We found this apartment complex online and rented two one-bedroom apartments for five days. This is a gated residential retirement community which is conveniently located near the beaches and downtown Charleston. The setting was comfortable and quiet. We met some wonderful residents during our stay, and the managers couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We will most likely be returning in the near future.
