  This property was perfect for our family vacation in San Francisco. The location was ideal and the house was wonderful. The rooftop deck has a fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay and the City. The owners were most helpful as we prepared for our family to enjoy and experience San Francisco for a week. We found that we did not need a rental car for our in city experiences. We were a half block from the Cable Car line and could use public transportation easier than driving. We did rent a car for our outside city experiences. Our family agrees that this was our most enjoyable family vacation of many, primarily because of the wonderful accommodations and helpful owners. We highly recommend this property.

  The house is lovely, very spacious, clean, open and inviting and as guests, we lacked nothing. You are very generous hosts, anticipating and accommodating every need. We found the binder of information very helpful, raising subjects that we had not even thought about. Consequently, our vacation was even more pleasant and interesting. The young ones especially made good use of the rooftop patio, which is simply awesome. They spent a lot of time there, with early morning coffee. We had several dinners there too where we would watch the sunsets. We highly recommend your accommodations to anyone who might be considering visiting San-Francisco and we would definitely use your place again, should the opportunity arise for us to return to the city by the Bay.

• Perfect for a family reunion

  This home was absolutely perfect for our family celebration of an 80th birthday. It was more "lived in" than many other VRBO homes, but in a nice way. There were helpful items in the fridge and useful guide and other books. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and serving a crowd with plenty of pots and pans and dishes...no need to bring anything at all. The cable car really is at the bottom of the block...just be aware that it may well be full when it goes by and will not stop to pick you up. Having said that, we quickly mastered all the buses in the vicinity and were able to get around either on foot or by bus. No need for a car. Be sure to get a 7 day public transit pass that allows unlimited rides on buses, trolleys, and cable cars (but not BART). There are several large grocery stores (Whole Foods, Safeway, Trader Joe's) within about a mile radius (be aware that it a walk from anywhere involves steep hills!) but also some very useful small corner type shops within just a block or two. Don't miss La Boulangère (sic), a fabulous french bakery two blocks down Green Street. If you do one big shop at the beginning of your stay, those corner stores will keep you going thereafter. This was a perfect base from which to explore San Francisco's wonderful neighborhoods and the view from the rooftop to the Golden Gate bridge was just as lovely as the owners describe. Our only frustration with this home was getting information from the property manager in the months/weeks before our stay. She was very slow in responding and quite parsimonious with the information she provided. This caused some angst beforehand, but once we got there, everything was perfect.

In fact our rental manager prides herself on the level of service that she gives as well as her ability to make guests comfortable and confident that they have all the information they need to enjoy their stay. At the time of reservation and prior to arrival, a rental agreement is provided that includes detailed information about our home. We usually have a number of email exchanges and phone conversations between the property manager and our guests--as we did with this guest-- and we have always gotten very positive feedback on our responsiveness. Nevertheless, we appreciate this feedback and we will continue to respond expeditiously and professionally to all our potential and reserved guests needs.

  Very comfortable and large townhouse. The views from the living room and deck are far more spectacular than the photos indicate. Excellent neighborhood with plenty of restaurant and shops. For those who are reasonably fit, it's an easy walk to the bay and the financial district; for others the cable car is half a block away.

  This home was comfortable, clean, and well appointed. It has a lovely view and great location on Russian Hill. We had no problems or challenges making the arrangements, during our stay, or after we left. The owner was pleasant to deal with. Recommend it highly.

  My wife, my sister, and a friend spent one lovely week at this home. Beautiful view from the roof, and every convience was available. Owner's representative was very easy to work with. The garage is located one half block away, and you are near the trolley stop. The location was quite and peaceful. We had a lovely time. My only thing to note is that the house is a number of steps up from the street, and could be difficult for the less ambulatory. Outside of this, the house was A+++.

  Million dollar views from the spectacular rooftop deck, grilling buffalo fajitas while watching the Golden Gate Bridge. Walking to City Lights Books, the Wharf, Cable Cars and Union Square, The smell of the legs of lamb coming from the kitchen, sipping wine telling stories, watching the fog and the sunrise in the morning. Spending time with family in a fabulous home in one of the greatest cities in the world!

  I don't know which was more impressive- the location, the views from the roof deck, or the comfortable home and hospitality. My family stayed for 10 days in May while my husband was in SF on business. We walked everywhere- from the Union Yoga studio down the street (highly recommended) to Trader Joe's for groceries. You can catch the cable car at one end of the street, or a bus to AT&T Park at the other end. It is obvious that the owners of this rental take great pride in keeping it up and making their guests feel welcome. I hope we have a chance to stay here again!
