"MOOSE TRACKS" is a beautiful mountain house bordering Gallatin National Forest & overlooking Lions Head Peak along the Continental Divide. This is a restful spot & could be your next Rocky Mountain vacation adventure!
A large family room has windows on three sides with tranquil views of mountains (Lions Head Peak) Aspens and Pine trees. Warm yourself by the wood fire (One is pre-made for your arrival. Just light the paper when you arrive) and sit back with your friends & family to relax. Vaulted ceilings & landscape windows overlook the West Yellowstone Valley & the Continental Divide - the Backbone of the Rocky Mountains (see photos of actual view below). There is a great feeling of openness both inside and outside. Two bedrooms & a full baths are on the ground floor with a master bedroom and master bath on the second floor. (floor plans are below in photos). A "hunter's cabin" is just across the yard for anyone wanting that extra bit of privacy.
This distinctive vacation home is located just 7 miles west of West Yellowstone MT - the gateway to Yellowstone National Park.
To go on about how unbelievably beautiful Yellowstone is would be redundant. You wouldn't be looking here if you didn't already know, but suffice to say, no matter what you want in terms of the out-of-doors, wilderness, tranquility and complete spiritual recharge - it is here. Fishing, hiking (walking) through the woods, or just sitting on the deck...
The house is newly renovated and looking absolutely beautiful.
"I am in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection, but with Montana it is love... It seems to me that Montana is a great splash of grandeur. The scale is huge but not overpowering. The land is rich with grass and color, and the mountains are the kind I would create if mountains were ever put on my agenda. It seems to me that the frantic bustle of America was not in Montana."

We used the opportunity of this vacation as a small family reunion with guests coming in from around the country. The main house and detached cabin greatly exceeded our expectations. The structures were very clean, well appointed and convenient to all locations. The owner was accommodating and easy to work with, also extended himself to ship articles that we left behind. I've "advertised" and recommended the property to a half dozen friends. You have to seriously consider it if you are visiting the Yellowstone area. Job well done!!!!Did you find this review helpful? We stayed in the property for a week. The house was very clean & comfortable for 8 (4 adults + 4 kids). We had lots of room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked as were the towels and linens. We were pleasantly surprised by the family games and books readily availble to use during our stay. The house was just a few minutes drive from Yellowstone. I would recommed this rental to any family and look forward to a return trip in the future. Contacting the owner was no problem for us as they were very helpful. If you are heading to yellowstone with a family, this is a great home for you!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We have rented several VRBO homes and have never had a home as welcoming and relaxing as this home. The home is spotless and very well maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen. It is in absolutely the most perfect setting in the world; central to the Park, to numerous streams and lakes, to shopping in West Yellowstone. We enjoyed river rafting, ziplining, fishing, swimming in the Madison River, the wildlife in the Park, souvenir shopping in West Yellowstone, and some of the most amazing family barbeques and sunsents from the deck. Thank you.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
