  We loved our stay at the Treehouse. The house was as nice as advertised. And the yard ... it was way better. We are anxious to return next year.

  This is a spacious, beautiful house with a wonderful kitchen. Tom said everything we need is in the house, and that is true! It is very private, hidden in the woods and has a very big sunny deck on the side where we spent lots of time.. We spent a week here in August 2011 relaxing and visiting the area with my Brother and his family, going to the beach, shopping, etc. We were also happy to find a kid-friendly house with a yard that is so secure and safe. There were 6 adults and 5 boys and we were not afraid to let the children roam the entire 5 acre property which has a stone fence around it. The one thing we wished was that they would allow pets so we could bring our kitty. I have not been in the Door County area in years and I can't believe how it has improved. There really is something for everyone to do here. My husband and brother loved the golf, we saw a play at the outdoor theater Peninsula Players and had a wonderful(and expensive) dinner at Waterfront. We brought our boat but the weather did not cooperate- too windy. I have to say this was one of our best vacations- the ability to spread out and be together but also alone at times is the key to happiness for us. For about the cost of a hotel we had much more room and saved by not eating out every meal. We have already reserved a week for 2012 and are looking forward to another fun vacation.Chris

  This cottage is clean, modern and well-appointed with a large deck with giant potted plants and flowers that are on a watering system overlooking a forested area. It is very close to Sister Bay, Baileys Harbor downtown and Egg Harbor. We enjoyed bike rides through area's many orchards and farm fields that are just outside the door. A short drive to Peninsula Beach was a big hit with the kids. The kitchen has everything a vacationer may need. We enjoyed baking peach pies and making blueberry pancakes!

  My husband and I, along with our daughter and her family, enjoyed a vacation in Baileys Harbor during Labor Day week, and we are so glad that we chose to stay here. The kitchen was even more fabulous than expected (I went home wanting to remodel my own!), the master bathroom is lovely, and the home is solidly built, with many amenities provided. We especially appreciated the sense of privacy the wooded setting offers, while being within a few minutes of town. We savored the small shops, art galleries, and microbreweries in the area, as well as the abundance of u-picks, farmer's markets, and the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan. And our 9-month-old granddaughter confirmed, after careful exploration, that this property is the best one in the area.

  We stayed at this cottage for 3 nights in September of 2011 and greatly enjoyed the experience. The house itself is immaculate, and you can tell that the owner put a lot of thought into what people are looking for when renting a house for a vacation. We have two small children, and the house gives ample room for play-time, as well as privacy, as the home is situated in the forest, making it really easy to relax. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed to cook, and everything, I mean everything, is state of the art in the kitchen. The home is only a 3-4 minute drive to all the happenings in Baileys Harbor and Sister Bay, and to be honest, it seemed like the perfect scenario. You can take in all the sites of the beach, shopping and restaurants in town, and then kick back in seclusion, seemingly away from everything in the world. We'll stay here again, also recommend to friends headed to the area.

  We took our in-laws to this property for 10 days. The accomodations are wonderful! Every bed was comfortable according to our guests. The separation of the bedrooms allows for privacy too. The landscaping is beautiful with large mowed grass areas for kids to play or just to walk the grounds and enjoy nature. The kitchen is well-stocked with small appliances and utensils so you really don't need to bring anything. I have recommended this place to others and would definitely stay here again!

  We had a wonderful time at The Treehouse! The house was beautiful, new and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the sunny front windows, deck, fire pit and beautiful screened porch. The kids loved running around in the large, private yard. The house was very conveniently located. The owners were very thorough and responsive to our needs. The basement was quite cold, although the outdoor temps. were in the 50's-60's much of the time. There was a space heater and temp. would most likely not be a problem in the summer. The only other issue was that there were many wasp nests outside the house, and the few times it got warm, the wasps were everywhere. The owner later told us they spray for bees and wasps, so perhaps this was an anomaly. Overall, the property was perfect for our needs and I would definitely stay there again.

  Owner response: Hi Jessica, I'm glad your trip was fun even if the weather and bees were not cooperating! In the early season all of Door County has the bee issue. They like to be near warmth just like people- so when its cold they build nests and come out when the weather is warmer. We do spray for bees every month but its a problem that can only be managed not solved. Thankfully once July comes the bees are gone to the Apple and Cherry orchards all over Door County.Regarding the temperature of the basement, there are thermostats that you can adjust to fit your comfort level. We keep in around 55 degrees when no one is there to conserve heat. Next year I will add instructions to remind people how to regulate the temperature. Thanks again Best Regards, Tom

  Our family of six had a great stay at the Treehouse in Bailey's Harbor. The house and property were the perfect size. We had plenty of room for our active kids. We loved being in the center of all the activity. It was a quick drive to all the action!

  We spent 10 days at this property. The yard is meticulous and has a large area for kids to play and is great for walking and enjoying nature. The beds were all very comfortable! The location is very central for anywhere you need to go in Door County. We have stayed at numerous Door County lodging facilities and this was definitely the nicest!

  The Treehouse Cottage was nothing short of fabulous - would highly recommend to anyone that inquired It is set in a grove of trees, offering a secluded, quiet get-away, yet located close enough to the main routes that transverse Door County, so it is a short drive to anything you might want to do on a given day - the cottage is elegantly decorated, well maintained, and was immaculate upon our arrival - great dining room area - comfortably seats 8 for dining, or entertaining - nice large deck area, and screened in porch - fabulous for enjoying the great Door County weather - the owner was very helpful and attentive as our vacation approached - the photo's don't do this phenomenal property justice - it offers a beautiful lush lawn and landscaped yard - very kid friendly, our 2 young children spent literally hours running around in the yard, Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet get-away - you won't be disappointed
