The Blue Steeple is located in the heart of downtown Lakeport, on the shore of Clear Lake, where swimming, boating, skiing and wine tasting are all a part of every day life. Recently renovated, the house accommodates up to twelve people, with five bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms - a beautiful and spacious getaway inside a Victorian church. Enjoy the lake, local restaurants, shops and small-town atmosphere all within one short block.
Built in the 1800’s, the Blue Steeple serves as a landmark to Downtown Lakeport. Situated slightly uphill from Main Street, its spire is seen from miles away. The house easily accommodates large groups. Downstairs, the three bedroom, one and a half bathroom apartment comes fully equipped, plus two sofa beds in the living room. Upstairs, two bedrooms plus full bathroom open onto the elegant and spacious hall, where you can host your gathering or special event . . . and, perhaps visit with the friendly resident ghost!
The hall evokes a feeling from the past. Beautiful plaster walls, painted stamped ceiling and Victorian chandeliers give this room charm and warm elegance. A blue painted stage is the right size for small performances or your own karaoke. The large, lake-facing windows serve as the perfect viewing spot for the 4th of July fireworks. A full bathroom in the steeple includes a claw foot tub and an antique marble wash basin. Both upstairs bedrooms have queen beds and offer outstanding lake views.
Downstairs, the front bedroom provides a queen bed and walk-in closet. The middle bedroom offers a full bed, walk-in closet and an extra closet. The third bedroom has private access to the half bathroom and features an antique brass trumble bed. The downstairs full bathroom includes tub and shower. Luxury linens are provided for all beds.
The living room offers cable TV, DVD, wireless internet, and a stereo CD player. Two full-sized sofa-beds are available for use, complete with memory foam topper.
The fully equipped kitchen comes with full sized refrigerator, oven and stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, as well as a complete stock of pots and pans and utensils. Place settings for eight add to the well- stocked supply of dishes.
A small private garden with brick patio and fountain add to the Victorian country charm. There is outdoor table seating for eight, plus gas barbecue.
