This is the second time we have stayed here, and we absolutely love it. The view is nonstop and we see the most amazing skies, Good weather or bad. The house is wonderfully comfortable, with a great kitchen to cook in, beautiful green yard, hot tub with view, and plenty of nice spots to settle in and relax. Easy access to a beach to walk on, with lots of small rocks with baby crabs hiding underneath. Every day we saw bald eagles and herons. Highly recommend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Loved being in this beautiful home with our son and his family. In spite of weather, we enjoyed combing the beach with our grandsons, collecting shells, picking blackberries. The spacious living area accommodated lego building, Scrabble, card games, relaxing by the fire, and Sunday football. The evening hot tub under gentle rainfall was awesome after a day exploring Fort Casey and Deception Pass. Included in the spectacular views were periodic visits by the deer for an evening nibble. Thanks for great accommodations!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Had a terrific time staying there with family, great quiet neighborhood for bike riding. Saw wild deer all three days there, blocks from the house. Oak Harbour is nice, 15 minute drive from the house. Thanks Jim!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Out of the 4 homes we stayed in on our last trip, this was our favourite. Wonderful views over the water through the large windows or from the deck. Saw 2 bald eagles sitting in nearby trees. We also enjoyed seeing the jets fly past, 4 together on one occasion. The property was very clean and well maintained and had every amenity you could want. The main problem for us was that it was so nice, we had a hard time leaving it to go out to sightsee! Would love to come again some day. ThanksDid you find this review helpful? We enjoyed our stay at the house in Oak Harbor. It was just two of us and our 20 month old toddler. He had a blast running around peeking through the (off) fireplace into the main area and we spent an entire sunny afternoon at the beach chunking rocks into the Sound. The kitchen/pantry are very well stocked with spices, condiments and the basics. The view is spectacular, the home is more than comfortable, and the location is convenient (though we never really wanted to leave). There are neighbors somewhat close by, but they kept to themselves and we didn't feel like we lacked much privacy. Thanks for the great Father's Day Weekend visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Just enjoyed a wonderful few days with my family (mom, sister and 4 young children) in this home overlooking the water. My sister said, "We'll take it! Heck with catching the flight home!" Interactions with the owners were pleasant and everything was just as described on our arrival. Driving directions were detailed and accurate and there were thorough instructions about use of the many amenities, including gas fireplaces and hot tub. The home was beautifully appointed with all the amenities and a well supplied kitchen and we were very comfortable. I was initially worried about being too far from Oak Harbor proper, but the drive was a quick 10 minutes through pastoral, green rolling hills and farms. Lovely stay! Will definitely recommend to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We rented this home with another family for what turned out to be a snowy and relaxing weekend getaway. The home is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Everything was as advertised and Jim had every detail covered in the welcome package we recieved before arriving. We woke up to 4" of snow and had a great time in the large backyard throwing snowballs, making a snowman and sliding down the small hill. The hot tub was clean and felt great surrounded by snow! The entertainment room is great, including a huge 3D TV, comcast cable and blue ray player. There is also a TV on the main floor, in case you want to watch a movie and enjoy the view at the same time. And what a view! Beautiful sweeping views of the straight, mainland and mountains. Its also close to Deception Pass and Oak Harbor, which makes it easy to get to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. We had a great time. Thanks Jim!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.
