The Lake Champlain cottage is where nature soothes and cradles you. This is a quiet, peaceful place to experience the delight of ducklings swimming by or watching the splendor of the sun rising from the Vermont side of the Lake. The shore line is a few steps from the front of the cottage.
Sip your evening glass of wine on the patio as your gaze drifts across the water to the Vermont Mountains.
The front room of the cottage is multi-functional. A dining area is there so that you can enjoy the beauty of the lake while you eat, and there is a sleeping area with a queen-size bed so that you can drift to sleep with the sound of waves lapping at the shore.
The middle room has a cathedral ceiling and knotty-pine walls. It is great for reading, TV, or dancing a salsa. The back bedroom with twin beds has a 1/2 bath for convenience and distance from the front room where parents like to sleep late.
The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, pots, silverware, stemware, microwave, electric stove, and refrigerator.
Don't want to cook? Upscale steak houses, wine bars, or casual waterfront restaurants are located in Plattsburgh - 8 miles away.
Enjoy everything French? Beautiful Montreal is a quick 60 miles directly north on Route 87. Bring your passport!
Rafting? Its the best at magnificent Ausable Chasm.
Golfing is a beautiful habit. Try all three golf courses within a 20 minute drive.
The Grande Isle ferry dock is 4 miles from the cottage. Three ferries leave every 20 minutes. It travels to Grande Isle, Vermont. Then your Vermont adventure takes you to upscale shopping in Burlington or fun at Ben and Jerry's tour in Waterbury - just a day trip and you are back at the cottage via the ferry.

Owner info
About the owner: This is our summer location for three generations. We share only a few weeks of the summer with you. My morning starts with breakfast on the porch with my husband. In late afternoon I enjoy imported beer at Geoffrey's Pub in Plattsburgh. On Saturdays I buy fresh produce at the Farmer's Market on Durkee St. Between all that I'm swimming distances along the shoreline and the evening I'm in the kayak carefully watching the mergansers dive long distances underwater. My husband prefers biking around Cumberland Head which is a 5- mile waterfront path with some undulating hills. This location is fantastic for anyone who needs to de-stress. Once you are re-energized there's plenty to experience locally, in Vermont, Montreal or Lake Placid.
