We have spent a few weeks at various homes on Lake Tahoe and this beautiful place rates an A+, far and away the best stay on the lake. Recently remodeled, tastefully decorated and a very open floor plan. The kitchen is very roomy, well stocked and can accomodate plenty of kitchen help. The great room is beautiful and perfect for entertaining a large group. The downstairs family room is great for the kids to have their own space. We like to BBQ and the natural gas connection is so convenient. The panoramic view is simply incredible and is now the background on my laptop. We spent a majority of our time on the deck, including eating meals. Perfectly located, just a few minutes from Tahoe City and very convenient to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and NorthStar for the skiiers. Dollar Point is one of the most exclusive neighborhoods on the lake and you simply cannot go wrong renting this gorgeous home. We had 8 guys for the annual golf reunion. What a terrific time. Lots of room to spread out. I drew the hide-a-bed downstairs and even that was comfortable with a great view to go to bed and wake up to. We golfed at excellent courses nearby and the guys made gourmet dinners at night in the large, well-equipped kitchen. The weather and breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe could not have been better. This Dollar Point home is far and away one of the finest rental units available in the Lake Tahoe area. The panoramic view of the lake will make it hard to leave the deck. No worries, there are seating areas and tables on the deck. Three different levels makes it easy for a large group to settle into their own area for the evening. Multiple bathrooms on the main floor is a plus. The kitchen is large enough for a big group while having all the tools necessary for a gourmet romantic dinner for two. With all the year round activities available at Lake Tahoe, this home is a great base to work from or never leave.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

There can't be a better rental at Lake Tahoe (at least I'd never need to look further). This is a comfortable, beautifully decorated and impeccably maintained home. And the panoramic view is stunning! There is plenty of gathering space, both indoors and on the two large decks, but also separate spaces for quiet privacy. The neighborhood is peaceful and away from traffic, which enhances the experience of relaxing on the deck. I visited in the summer and hope to repeat this delightful experience sometime when the snow flies.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I recently spent four nights in this spectacular Dollar Point home overlooking Lake Tahoe. The home is perched upon a bluff just above the water affording a virtually unobstructed 180 degree view of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. From the decks along the back side of the home, sunrises and sunsets, on both clear and cloudy days, are literally mesmerizing! The Kitchen is open, spacious, stylish, functional and well appointed for the preparation of fine food. It opens to the Great Room to permit interaction between those preparing meals and the rest of the group. During the four days that my party of nine stayed in the home, we felt no inclination to eat in any of the fine restaurants in the area, primarily because the kitchen is so convenient and we could not envision a better setting for either inside or outside dining. The bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas were very clean, comfortable and accurately depicted in the VRBO photos. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this home in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I would HIGHLY recommend this rental home. Quite simply, this is THE nicest home I have ever rented. I've stayed in beautiful homes, hotels and resorts all over the world, but none compares with this incredible home. I spent several summers at Lake Tahoe as a child and teenager, and this home has the best view I have ever seen. The pictures on this site will confirm that for you. The recently remodeled floor plan offers a huge entry/kitchen/dining room/living room. The huge fireplace in the living room and gorgeous view from this entire "great room", make this a perfect place for entertaining and relaxing with groups from 2 to 20. We arrived late on our first night, and I have to say how enjoyable it was to find coffee, creamer and sugar already stocked for our first morning. We enjoyed a hot cup while sitting out of the deck and taking in the sunrise along with the wonderful smell of the pine trees. The home also has fully stocked seasonings, marinades and other items for the renters use (they are even alphabetized for easy locating). The outdoor bbq is plumbed to natural gas (so no propane tanks to change) and is easy to start and use. The temperature on the bbq is very easy to regulate and control, which allowed us to cook wonderful chicken, steaks and fish. The kitchen is very large and has wonderful preparation areas that allow 5 - 6 people to assist with food preparation at the same time... something our groupd really enjoyed. The cabin (mansion) is located just a few short miles from Tahoe City, which offer excellent bar and dining options. I personally recommend Christy Hill for a great meal with a wonderful lake view (it's a bit pricey, but worth it). This is the perfect home for a couple, a family, or a group of up to 10 - 12 people. We were lucky enough to enjoy a month in this beautiful home. Everything was top notch and the views were just awesome. We are having withdrawls being back home. This is one of those rare occurences when the home is actually better than the pictures. There is no way someone wouldn't love staying here. The owners were super and responsive to our every need. If we could give them 10 stars we would. Thanks for a memorable stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

What a fantastic vacation we just had in this house. i worried that the house could be rentalish. This house is a home, not a rental. we spent 3 weeks and i found not one thing wrong with this house. fantastic owners support you and your needs. the house has every comfort known to man. this vacation home is a 10 all the way. the views are some of the best on the lake. we spent a lot of time on the deck. everyone from grandparents to grandkids loved this house. enjoy! we sure did!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin is absolutely perfect for any Tahoe trip. The location in North Shore Tahoe is great for all types of vacationers as it's right on the shore of Lake Tahoe within close distance to ski resorts, casinos and towns yet is isolated enough for quiet relaxation. The interior is bright and modern but retains a classic Tahoe cabin feel we've all grown to love. The huge kitchen and dining area is great for entertaining and feeding large groups. The cabin itself would be perfect for anyone, but then you step out onto one of the two large decks and your mind is blown. The view is 270 degrees of Lake Tahoe bliss. It's difficult to capture the essence of this remarkable home with pictures, I tried! My family and I just returned from a long weekend at this Dollar Point home, with panoramic views of the lake everywhere you look. They spared no expense in creating it - literally every square inch is the highest of quality and fabulously designed. It has everything you can imagine for pure luxury. Perfection is one word that comes to mind to describe it. We spent the first hour there with our mouths gaped open, in disbelief of how wonderful it is. We have stayed at many Tahoe rentals over the years and this was easily the nicest accommodations. I was looking for a home that would showcase the beauty of Lake Tahoe to family visiting from Australia and this home delivered. The 180-degree views of the lake are truly spectacular. We were treated to beautiful sunrises and sets, and glorious lake and mountain views. The house is meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, cozy and comfortable, spacious enough for both large gatherings and privacy, and impressively well thought-out. Every possible need was considered and provided for, including a huge and well-stocked kitchen. It is minutes from Tahoe City and skiing, and a short walk from a beautiful beach. The owners are kind and responsive. We originally booked to stay in a hotel across the lake but were pursuaded to share a house with my American-based cousin and his family (8 of us total). I can honestly say it was the best appointed house I have ever rented - it was like the owners had "lent" us their vacation home to use. The house is extremely well designed and catered easily for this size party, giving ample places to find queit time as well as large spaces for being all together. The views are unbeatable with the sunrise and sunsets over the lake the highlight. It was an ideal base for day trips to the ski fields. This house is amazing with one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen, thanks to the huge glass windows facing the lake. The house is huge and has more bedrooms than I can count. Very comfy beds and furniture and a very nice homely feel. The kitchen is great and has everything you need. Also very nice instructions and helpful tips left behind by the owners. If I could spend all my holidays here, I would. We rented this house this past August and we can't say enough great things about it. It is completely updated, comfortable and has probably the best view of Lake Tahoe. There is a huge outdoor deck and tons of outdoor seating so you can enjoy the lake and spectacular sunsets. The kitchen is updated and has every appliance, gadget and spice you could need. The bathrooms are all nice and new. The bedrooms and spacious and comfortable and the living room and dining room have a fantastic views of the lake. There is a two-car garage and the house is on a cul-de-sac so it great for kids to bike around. Owners are very easy to work with and so nice. House was clean and there were tons of nice towels, pillows, beach towels, etc. The house is so comfortable that it feels like your own home!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Dollar Point. The home had a spectacular view of the lake and was beautifully furnished and well-appointed with everything we needed. In addition to having access to the private beach, pool and tennis facillities within Dollar Point, it was also was just a quick drive to both Tahoe City and Incline Village. The place is amazing- was clean, beautiful setting and spectacular view. The house well suited our family with good sleeping provisions, allowing privacy and comfort. There were excellent instructions for usage of electronics, etc. There was much to do and see in the area in addition to just lounging on the huge porches overlooking the lake. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. My family and I spent a week here last summer to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday. The house is truly remarkable and very roomy/comfortable for large groups. The views are simply jaw dropping, the pictures really don't do it justice. The open floor plan is very inviting and the expansive decks make it hard to leave the house. We enjoyed preparing meals every night in this true cook's kitchen. It's a large house but has a really nice cozy feel to it. I've also spent time here in the winter, you can't beat the location. Close to town and easily accessible to Squaw, Alpine Meadows and NorthStar. We rented this amazing home for our mother's 75th birthday so that all members of our extended family could stay together and play together! the place proved to be perfect in every way- it was spacious enough to easily accommodate all 13 of us, and was the perfect location to be able to easily go into town or to the beach! I was lucky enough to spend a few days relaxing at this house with some friends. It was the perfect place to catch up!! With a 180 degree view of Lake Tahoe we spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the view. The kitchen was large and had everything we could have needed, so we were able to cook at home. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, each with access to a balcony overlooking the lake! The property had easy access to shops and was only a short (5min) drive to Tahoe. The house is beautifully decorated, and clearly well looked after. Everything about this house is amazing! It is very spacious, yet still is very comfortable and cozy. The large windows provide you with the most amazing view of Lake Tahoe! One of my favorite nights spent in this house was when my friends and I were able to take advantage of the AMAZING kitchen and make dinner and eat it on the deck and enjoy a warm summer night. This house is absolutely amazing! The location is perfect and the view is beyond stunning. The living space and the kitchen are both huge and have an entirely glass front so you can enjoy the panorama of lake Tahoe from inside. The whole house is beautifully furnished, cozy, comfortable and roomy. It was complete luxury. We rented this property with a group of family friends, all with young children. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The views are amazing. The house was spotless clean. We loved the layout -- it is spacious enough that it allowed for every family to have their own space but main floor was perfect for group get togethers. We took good advantage of the Dollar Point amenties, especially the pool -- which is great for kids. This house is unbelievable. It is huge, but still maintains its warm, cozy, cabin like feel. It very much quickly feels like you are at home. You can see the lake from just about every room in the house which is heavenly. I hosted a weekend away with some friends and we made dinners together one, and it was probably the most fun cooking experience i have ever had. The kitchen and food area is really open and is like a cooks dream. Besides the view and the kitchen there is a spacious deck, where we literally had every meal, enjoyed card games, and just watched sunsets from. It felt like we had a postcard backdrop it is so unreal. In a word, this house is AMAZING!!! The house is spacious but still retains a cozy feel, the kitchen is any cooking afficionado's dream -- up-to-date appliances and ample room for lots of cooks in the kitchen. And finally, there are those views of the lake, which are stunning. I could have happily spent the entire day sitting on the back deck. Thanks to the floor to ceiling windows, even when it gets a little chilly outside you can also enjoy the views from inside the house. I just spent a wonderful and memorable weekend with a group of my best friends at this amazing house. I can't say enough about what a great place this is. The view of the lake from the deck is absolutely stunning, and we enjoyed some great meals out there. The kitchen has every appliance and gadget that one could need or dream of, and has a ton of counter space, making cooking meals very nice. The main room has a great fireplace (super easy to use), and comfy chairs, couches, etc. The layout of the place is great - with bedrooms on three levels of the place - so there is a nice mix of private and communal space. The location of the house is also really nice, just minutes from Tahoe City, and in a great neighborhood (Dollar Point). It is clear that the owners of the place have taken great care to consider every comfort a guest may need. This house is amazing! It has a large great room (gourmet kitchen, dining and living areas), all with fantastic views of Lake Tahoe. It snowed while we were there and we could watch the storms move across the lake. From the large deck you can see Heavenly Valley and Homewood Mountain ski resorts and the entire length and width of Lake Tahoe. In the summer, this deck would be ideal for BBQs, cocktails, dining and sunning. The great room features a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, unbelievable views and a new Samsung HD Smart TV. We enjoyed streaming Netflix movies and all our favorite music on Pandora. We could see that every effort was made when the home was remodeled to add large windows for sunlight and to maximize the views from almost anywhere in the house. Every bedroom is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped. My wife and I especially enjoyed the fireplace in the master bedroom. Really a great place to relax with a warm fire and great lake views. We have stayed at Dollar Point in the past and made use of several of its amenities including the tennis courts, beach and pier. The beach has a roped off swimming area, umbrellas and a restroom. Dollar Point is great for walks and bike rides without ever leaving the subdivision, but there is also a bike trail into Tahoe City and beyond to Homewood or Squaw Valley. Overall, the best area to rent in the north Tahoe. I would highly recommend this house for any renters that want a luxurious retreat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
