The Rhododenron at Glade
This beautiful loghome sits at the end of a road inside the Glade Springs resort. It's very spacious with about 1800 square feet.
Main level
The large Master bedroom with a queen bed, a walk in closet and a full bathroom. The living room has two comfortable couches, two easy chairs with ottomans, which are grouped around a two-way gas fireplace. There is a 42” TV and a DVD player. The dining room which has a heavy wooden table comfortably seating eight, shares the two way gas fireplace with the living room. The spacious kitchen sits behind the dining room and is equipped with stainless steel appliances and ample kitchen tools and china.
Upper level
There are two spacious bedrooms, which share a full bathroom. One bedroom has two twin beds while the other one has a queen. Each bedroom in addition has a collapsible bed.
Basement
The lower level has space for one compact car and one large car.

Two Super Carpet Lifts make heading up the mountain for another tubing run a breeze! Skiers can enjoy 9 lifts to take them to their favorite slopes. If you don't have your own skis, Winterplace offers affordable ski rentals at the mountain. Winterplace ski instructors are certified through the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA).

Great house with all the comforts of home! Very clean. Owner is very easy to work with and photos did not do the property justice. My husband and I have scheduled to come back next year for two weeks.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The owners take great care in making sure that your experience at the Rhododendron at Glade Springs will be wonderful!! Fast response to e-mail inquiries and a very easy check in policy that allows you to go straight to the property. The cabin was well stocked as advertised (better than most rentals we have stayed in). The house is located on a very peaceful cul de sac with no other homes in sight. We were there for a ski weekend and got very lucky with a decent snowstorm bringing 5-6 inches of snow. It was simply gorgeous. 8 miles from Winterplace (easy 15 min drive). Oh, and the beds were all comfortable with nice linens and warm bed clothes. The double sided fireplace was amazing, keeping the family room, dining room and kitchen all cozy and warm as we cooked, ate, watched movies or just sat around relaxing on the couch! Weekend to remember, thank you so much! One item to note...a four wheel drive is a must in the winter with snow. You will never make it up the hill without it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Being a teacher in a big city, I always longed to go back to West Virginia to be close to my mother. Looking around for a place to stay, we found the Rhododendron. As my husband works on ships and is away from home for months at a time, I wanted a place where I would feel safe and secure. Glade Springs is just the idal place for me and I decided to share it with others.
Why the Owner Chose Glade Springs:
Having grown up in West Virginia, I always wanted a vacation house in Southern West Virginia. We first purchased a house in Pipestem but this was still a bit too far away from my mother. We then came across the Rhododendron. The house is just ideal. It's beautiful, safe, secure and quiet and yet so close to everything you need. Skiing, Wild Water rafting, Zip lining, Hiking, shopping and you name it.
