View looking south from our Lanai - Kihei, Maui, HI - Hawaii Vacation Condo Rental This roomy one bedroom Condo has a great view of the water from the living room and lanai. We enjoy having breakfast on the lanai. We are located on the second floor in a quiet, smaller complex with beautiful gardens and two pool areas. There is a tennis court, and charcoal grills located in common areas on the grounds of the complex, Hale Kamaole. The living area is large and airy, with nice furniture and a view of the ocean. There is an air conditioning unit in the living room and another in the bedroom, plus ceiling fans, so you can always be comfortable. The bedroom has a large double closet, a full-size dresser and a queen-size bed. The living room couch pulls out to a queen-size bed as well. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and serving meals when you are not trying out the great restaurants. It’s a short walk across Kihei Rd (about 200 yards total) to a great swimming, snorkeling and tanning beach park (Kamaole III). We try to go out every evening with our beach chairs and a bottle of wine to watch the sunset from the beach. Make sure you catch at least one! You can also walk to some shops and restaurants, and it’s just a three minute drive to Wailea for additional swimming/snorkeling beaches, shopping, restaurants and golf. Parking for our unit is right down the steps outside your door (there is an elevator, too, if you don’t like the single flight of stairs). There is easy access to Puliani Highway - no need to drive through Kihei - so heading out to other parts of the island is quick and easy. We recommend visiting the Upcountry, Hana, Paia, Makawao, the Haleakala crater, Iao Valley, and the aquarium in Maalaea. We have a washer/dryer in the unit, and we’ve stocked the closet with tennis rackets, snorkeling gear, beach chairs & mats, boogie boards, and a cooler for day trips. The on site manager will give you the key and handle any questions you have. There is an agent for booking commercial tours and activities (to Molokini, for example) every morning, if you want to do those, at the office patio. We are happy to share our recommendations for hiking, snorkeling, beaches, and restaurants. We love Maui, and have found this Condo and complex to be one of the best we ever visited.
