Year Purchased: 2001
Chris and his wife Jennifer are the proud owner/operators of Halfmoon Haven. The live there with their two boys Braydon and Reese.
For over 22 years Chris has worked as a Family Youth Counsellor for children at risk.
Besides teaching life skills, employment counselling, drug and alcohol couselling and conflict resolution, Chris runs a life skills program for children with autism.
He has expanded this work into teen retreats and men's retreats at Halfmoon Haven as well as studying the Shamanistic teachings of the Indigenous native people.
Through creative visioning and a true labour of love, Halfmoon Haven has become what some guests like to call the closest thing to Heaven on Earth. We welcome you to come and share in the magical experience that the Haven has to offer.

Why the Owner Chose Halfmoon Bay
I came to the Sunshine Coast nine years for a holiday and never left. Once I stepped off the ferry I felt a sense of peace wash over my whole body. The air was so crisp and clean and the wild life was amazing. On my first day to the Sunshine Coast I saw a bear, deer, eagle, loon, raccoon and a beautiful hummingbird.
The next day I was here I went down to a magical spot called Welcome Beach, and there was a full sand oceanfront beach to run and play with my two young boys. I looked in front of me and noticed a cottage and house were both for sale, I called the realtor and bought the place within a week.
Not once did I ever look back as I knew Halfmoon Haven was to be shared with people from all over the world. It is a place of tranquility and peace as well as a place for you and your family to build a lifetime of family memories. We have many families who we have been coming for nine years straight which is why we are booked out in our high season a year in advance.
If you want to have a holiday where you can relax in the Sunshine on our beautiful beach, have a five star gourmet meal, a relaxing deep tissue massage, a kayaking trip, a canoe trip, or have a

We stayed here the last week of July and found the site both peaceful and charming. The owners were wonderful and Jenn gave us very relaxing, soothing massages. There were 10 in our party so we used both the beach cottage and the suite and found that suited our needs ideally. We had beautiful weather and used the beach area every day; we had numerous sightings of the gray whale, which excited both the kids and the adults. There was plenty to keep the kids satisfied with the pool table, games, hot tub, beach and tramp.... This gave the adults the opportunity to rest as well as play with the kids. The location is near enough to Sechelt and the Egmont that there was plenty to do if we wanted an outing. We would do it all over again!!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Thank you for creating such a welcoming comfortable Haven. Sitting at the table looking out into the trees, or soaking in the sun, or dancing on the beach. You have created a restful healing space. I feel wonderfully restored by two nights of sleep, the sky and the sea and the company of great friends.
