All the good aspects were as advertised, which was great. The only trouble was the driveway was plowed in--about 6-8 inches. We had to hike our gear an eighth of a mile in the dark to the cabin. Our car would have blocked the road in front of the cabin. Not sure if we could be reimbersed for this effort, but it would be nice, as we also had to pay $150 for a tow truck to haul our gear out & pull our car off the connecting road where it got stuck so we had a place to park that would block that road. The snow which caused this appeared days before our arrival--plenty of time to clear & prepare it for their guests.Owner response: We are really sorry to know of the difficulty you encountered accessing the cabin. However, this is the first time this problem is being brought to our attention even though we have a contact number listed on the VRBO website as well as in the cabin itself. The situation was unfortunate though because the company that plows our driveway advised to wait until Saturday (your arrival day) as more snow was expected then. However, when we called them on Friday they informed us that because they also work for the state they were busy clearing the main roads and could not come until Monday to remove the snow. Again, sincere apologies for the inconvenience but with the limited resources available in a small town, there was nothing we else could have done. But we are glad to know that you found the cabin to your satisfaction in all other respects.

We started out just needing a place to stay within 'commuting distance' of WVU's Reymann Memorial Farm. By finding this wonderful property, we ended up with a blissful getaway from the DC area grind. Rain or shine, the cabin was a restful place to be, with absolutely everything we needed.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at this cabin for our anniversary weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yet, we also thought that if we had brought our kids along, they would have loved it too! If you're looking to get away from it all, this place is perfect. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, and the view from the cabin is awesome. I think there is a lot of love put into this cabin, and the owners were super helpful with everything. I definitely reccomend staying here for a relaxing getaway!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
