Millsboro condo description
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. We have two young children, we've made our condo as kid-friendly as possible - with all the adult perks we can't live without!
THE CONDO: FOR THE KIDS
You will not have to bring everything from your house to ours. The toddler beds are here if you need them, in the closets if you don’t. Before the start of every season we have the carpet professionally eco- cleaned, bleach the sheets and towels (all white), and go through all the toys for cleanliness and completeness. We use quilts and blankets for our bedding so they can be easily washed in the condo.
- 3 toddler beds,
- wall to wall carpet,
- large wood dining room table (fine for art projects),
- plastic dishes and cups for meals,
- outlet covers,
- safety bars on low windows in MBR,
- bathroom stool,
- large bins of kids toys,
- crayons and paper,
- kids movies.
(if your child falls in love with a toy or book please feel free to take it with you, I frequently replenish the supply!)
THE CONDO: FOR THE ADULTS
The unit overlooks the 1st hole, fairway and lake of the golf course. We spend our precious alone time in comfort – mostly on the deck that has been transformed into an outdoor room with comfortable chairs, outdoor carpet, and custom made benches and table for outside dining. We have a perfect sunset view over the lake, and we get lots of beautiful sunsets here!
There's a flat screen TV, DVD, gas fireplace, washer/dryer, and fully stocked kitchen. The master bath is huge, with a double sink, jetted tub and shower. The master bedroom has a desk with monitor and wireless internet.
We’re all about making life easy, especially at the beach. A few things that matter to us and we’ve put out for you are:
- nice silverware and proper dishes (i.e. not melamine)
- serving pieces for dinners
- good glassware, including wine and champagne glasses and frosted mugs in the freezer,
- high quality blender,
- cooking spices, salt & pepper, etc. (all fresh)
- a “beach cart” for hauling your stuff to and from the wave pool if you walk,
- an umbrella stroller and picnic blanket.
The Peninsula is the perfect vacation for golfers and families. The huge outdoor wave pool has a graduated entry and a very clean man-made beach. There are an abundance of lounge chairs, a snack bar, restaurant and bar for eating in or carry out, and clean bathrooms. Lifeguards are on duty at all times. It's like being on a private island at a luxury resort.
There is also a huge adult pool with hot tub and an indoor pool with hot tub. You'll also find a sand volleyball court, a full basketball court, and 8 tennis courts with 2 types of surfaces.
The community center has a large fitness room with classes and personal training. Or treat yourself to a massage in a spa room. There is a great kids playroom with foosball, air hockey, coloring, TV's and toys. During the summer there are organized activities every day for children.
The community is perfect for biking, running or walking. It's a half a mile to the bay where you can enjoy drinks on the beach while the kids explore. It's a perfect 3.2 miles to the gatehouse and back.
The golf course is called 'The Pebble Beach of the East'. It's a gorgeous course designed by Jack Nicklaus, 7,200 yards, with a par 72.
You will be 8 miles from Rehoboth Beach, it takes about 20 minutes to get into the center of town. Along the way you will find many chain restaurants and 5 sets of outlet shops, a huge selection including Polo, Coach, Sony, Gymboree, Banana Republic, Nike, J. Crew, Black and Decker and Gap.
The town of Rehoboth is as charming as can be. Rehoboth Avenue is 4 long blocks of boutiques, fantastic restaurants, ice cream, pizza and beach shops. The beach is wide and long and has over 2 miles of boardwalk with arcades, shops, and Funland with rides and games. The games are typically a dollar and the rides are between a quarter and fifty cents so it's a place you can go a few times (bring one of our large flannel sheets and grab some food from the boardwalk for an evening picnic on the beach!)
Rehoboth also has 2 water parks, Jungle Jims, and Midway Speedway which also has go-carts.
There is no lack of things to do, you'll need a full week to get it all in!

The condo is beautiful, clean, welcoming, and very spacious. We stayed for a week with our 10 month old and just loved it. My husband enjoyed the golf course, our son loved the pools, and I loved the laid back atmosphere of The Peninsula. Kara was so easy to get in touch with and gave us all the information we would ever need. We can't wait to go back! Thank you Kara!

Love, love, love the Peninsula! Kara tried to warn us that we would love the Peninsula so much we would not want to leave; I had no idea how right she was. We found it to be the perfect spot for our family. We love Rehoboth, and have visited many times. Over the years Rehoboth has gotten quite popular, and I find that on the weekends it is almost just too much. The best compromise is staying at the Peninsula. We stayed at the Peninsula on the weekends and went to the beach during the week when it was less crowded. Your family will love the Peninsula; the wave pool is so nice, the restaurant is very good and the gym is amazing. You can let the kids play and not worry like you do that beach. There is lots to do and everyone is so nice. I ended up going back with my girlfriends for a weekend in the off season and I turned three more people into Peninsula fans. Lastly, Kara is great; she makes it easy, she is very helpful and accommodating. The condo is amazing the pictures don’t do it justice. My daughter still asks to go back to her “new house” at least once a week.

This place is lovely. We had so much fun there and we were feeling at home. It's beautiful, comfortable and very quiet. The Peninsula area is so nice, we had fun taking a walk at night and go near the little bay beach. The children had fun and loved to get there own room with bathroom. Rehoboth beach is not too far and easy to get there. I recommand this place. We want to go back again.

Vacation to remember at The Peninsula.
Vacation to remember at The Peninsula.
When you first pull up to the gates of The Peninsula, you will get the idea that this is not going to be your average vacation. The resort was absolutely 5 star all the way. The wave pool was enough to keep you at the resort all week. The condo is immaculate, spacious and very comfortable. My family enjoyed themselves enormously from the first minute until the last. I have two little girls and they were pleasantly surprised to find so many age appropriate toys, games and books to play with. The master bedroom and bath are enormous. The deck is a beautiful little enclosed sitting room. We spent a lot of time out there watching the golfers. My husband played a round of golf alone and couldn't say enough about the staff of the resort going out of their way to make it a great experience. Kara, the condo owner, is warm and friendly and a pleasure to deal with. She makes sure you have an amazing experience and is always on hand if you have any questions night or day. My family and I would rent from her and her family again and would absolutely come back to their condo on The Peninsula. In fact, we are still dreaming about another trip! Thanks, Kara.

About the owner: We live in Northern New Jersey and have 2 little girls. Kara has been vacationing in Rehoboth for 25 years. Rich is a convert from the Jersey Shore!
Why the Owner Chose Millsboro:
Going to the beach with children is a major production. The wave pool beach is our favorite thing - the bathrooms and snack bar (and real bar!) and nice lounge chairs with umbrellas make it so easy to relax and have a great time. We are die-hard beach people and thought we'd spend half our time at the real beach and half at the wave pool beach, it's turned out to be 100% wave pool beach!
