After thoroughly studying possible condos in Maui a year in advance for the 2012 Christmas/New Years holidays, we decided to stay in this unit.. It seemed superior to others we viewed on web sites. After cross-referencing property reviews on several websites, we were pleased upon our arrival to discover that the excellent reviews were accurate. The condo was perfect for our family because it offers two large bedrooms with king size beds and bathrooms that are equally beautiful. The furnishings are of very good quality and the kitchen was high end and immaculately clean. We enjoyed both eating out and having meals there. There is an excellent fish store down the road, good restaurants nearby, and we used the complex's barbecue grills several times with no difficulty gaining access to them, even on Christmas day and New Year's. The living room and lanai look directly over the ocean at a quiet end of the complex. We enjoyed eating on the lanai and relaxed there and in the living room often. We were pleased with the extra amenities: four high quality beach chairs, an umbrella, two coolers, beach towels, etc. Our daughter enjoyed the complex's hot tub and pool. People were very friendly. Parking was always available. The atmosphere was so much better than the high rise condos nearby. Excellent beaches are also nearby for snorkeling and other activities ! The smaller beach in front of the pool area was also nice. We were entertained by surfers, paddle boarders, kite flyers, and swimmers who enjoyed the family atmosphere on a non-crowded beach. We even saw a few whales. Had we not reserved early we would not have been able to secure a reservation. The best go first. We enjoyed our stay very much and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We chose this condo after many hours of researching hotels, resorts and privately owned accommodation for our honeymoon and were absolutely thrilled with our choice. Everything from the location of Kahana Village, quality of the grounds and pool area, to the beautifully quiet beach, right down to the pristine cleanliness and excellent ameneties at the condo all made for a truly memorable holiday. The view was almost indescribably good - we had a pretty good idea of what it would be like from the reviews and the photos but in reality, when we arrived and saw the ocean twinkling and heard the relaxing sound of the waves for ourselves, they took our breath away. The sheer size and layout of the condo was excellent, the lanai was our favourite place to relax with a glass of wine whilst watching the stunning sunsets. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything you could ask for, the beds were blissfully comfortable, the bathrooms were huge and luxuriously appointed, the lounge area was comfortable and relaxing - in fact there was not one single thing that could have been improved. Ann was friendly and always prompt in her responses plus she provided us with loads of local info. It was great to know she was available if we needed anything. The location of the condo within Kahana Village was exactly what we wanted, very quiet and secluded with direct ocean views. We would highly recommend this amazing condo to anyone visiting Maui and hope to return ourselves as soon as we can.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

For our first trip to Hawaii, we feel extremely lucky to have been able to stay at this condo. It has a great location nicely situated between Kapalua and Ka'anapali and away from the crowds. The condo is quite literally on the beach and the sound of the waves through the open lanai windows was so soothing. (Not overpowering as at some beach resorts we have stayed in the past.) The interior decorating reminds me of a cross between a trendy Manhattan boutique hotel and relaxing spa. There are basically two master suites which would be perfect for two couples. We used the downstairs bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. Every amenity seemed to be available - even needed a pair and scissors and there in the drawer of the desk we found them. Unfortunately we didn't do too much sight seeing in as we didn't want to miss sitting on the balcony for the four to five hours before sunset watching the whales. The bar height table and chairs are conducive to this activity. The beach right in front of the condo is not crowded with people and you are able to get in the water (easiest at high tide) to do some swimming or snorkeling. We brought our own snorkel gear but there are locations everywhere to rent it. We also noticed that there was a public bus stop right down the street. The only negative I could say is that there is no air conditioning but with the windows open throughout, the breezes and wonderful Casablanca fans keep the unit cool. This really only becomes a problem if you get noisy neighbors which unfortunately we did for the last two days. However this would not be enough for us to stay anywhere else. When we return, we will adjust our schedule to allow us to stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a week in this wonderful condo and couldn't have asked for more. The renovation is gorgeous, with a high-end hotel feel to the entire place. The high, wooded ceilings gave a great sense of openness, and the roaring ocean could be heard throughout the space at all times. The deck was the perfect place to watch whales (literally seen every half hour at least!) and sit and stare at the gorgeous starry nights. Ann even went above and beyond to provide an extra amenity that I needed to do business during the week. We strongly recommend staying in this beautiful condo!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We give this perfect oceanfront condo our most enthusiastic recommendation to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Maui. If this unit is available, rent it! It’s comfortable, refined, fully appointed, private, convenient, and right on the beach. It’s one of the best units at this resort and certainly the best value for a unit of this caliber. Ann is a pleasure to work with - she was very responsive and accommodating and we could feel her personal commitment to the property. For our first Hawaii trip we wanted our accommodations to be part of the vacation, rather than just a place to sleep. We wanted privacy, convenience, comfort and a direct connection to the island’s beauty. This condo delivered on all measures. The resort in Kahana feels more like a small, secluded town-home development. We felt so much at home that it was as if we finally came to our senses and moved to paradise. Upon entering the unit we knew we had made the right choice! We opened the lanai doors and heard nothing but the waves breaking on the beach below. We kept the windows and the lanai doors open and slept to the soothing sounds of the ocean each night. The unit was perfect. Everything was clean and new and carefully selected – it was clear that Ann had put a lot of thought and effort into setting the unit up. The care and attention to detail that went into selecting the furnishings, fixtures and finishes was evident. Even small details like dimmer switches on all of the lights made a difference. The bathrooms were luxurious and the bath linens were lush. Well-placed ceiling fans throughout the unit supplemented the natural breeze. The kitchen was fully equipped and the appliances, dishes and utensils were of the highest quality. The beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels were top-notch. It’s as if Ann knew out tastes and anticipated all of our needs! Our morning routine is one of the things we miss most about Maui. Each morning we sat on the lanai to enjoy our coffee and watch the day break. The peace and tranquility were beyond belief! The sunrise lit up the sea-cliffs of Molokai in a gorgeous panorama. One morning we were treated to an acrobatic display several hundred yards offshore as two whales breached dozens of times, sometimes completely leaving the water - we wouldn't have believed it if we didn't see it. We would definitely stay here again if (when) we return to Maui – we’re afraid that any place else would suffer from comparison.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our experience staying at this condo could not have been better. Newly remodeled-beautiful. Everything was available to include the beach stuff!! Sitting on the Lanai, sipping wine, enjoying the ocean breeze and watching the waves across from the Island of Lanai - life is good. Every touch was first class and comfortable. I have 7 vacation rentals near Phoenix and I learned some tips from this condo. We were sad to leave and will return someday.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What can I write? Wow!!! If you are literally looking for the best of everything--full ocean views; open, spacious floor plan; cheery colors of the natural Hawaiian environment; luxury furnishings like solid bamboo tables and plush sofas & beds; beautiful local art; marble, granite, travertine, porcelain, alabaster, etc.--then you can stop looking right now and RUN to reserve this place before someone else gets it! In October, 2011, my family and I were lucky enough to be the first guests to stay in this condo after completion of its remodel. We were concerned that everything might not be complete or be in working condition since the remodel was so recent. Still, based on our contact with Ann in reserving we trusted her as a conscientious person. So we decided to give this place a whirl. To say that we were ultimately satisfied would be in the understatement of the century; we were overjoyed! Researching prior to booking, we learned that the prices here are lower than others offered by the resort in the Ocean Front Prime category. Since the onine photos seemed to clearly show that this was the nicest unit at the resort, we couldn't figure out why. Later we realized that the resort's web site charges more & pushes reserving through the on-site management office to gain amenities like beach chairs, newspapers, mai tais, & staff service. Well, don't fall for this! Tommy Bahama beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, coolers, and more are provided in the unit. (Luckily, we know how to make our own beverages & have no need of a daily newspaper!) Best, Ann lives nearby year-round. We called her with one request and she was knocking on our door in about 3 minutes. It didn't take us long to realize that we were actually underpaying for the nicest condo & best service we've ever experienced in our lives. Another great thing is the location: centered between Kaanapali & Kapalua Resorts. Fun things to do are within walking distance: Maui Brewing Company, Roy's of Hawaii, Dolly's Pub (yummy pizza) & McDonald's restaurants; also, a gas station, bank, coffee store & shops. The beach in front of the condo is lovely: natural & unspoied, with no commercial clutter/pollution. We enjoyed swimming, sunning, boogie boarding, snorkeling & tide pooling right in front of our condo. In one way I hate writing this because I know that people will flock to the condo and may interfere with my absolutely guaranteed return! The best condo. Period.Did you find this review helpful? My family, including myself, my husband, three daughters and my mother-in-law spent a week at this property. I can honestly say it is one of the best vacations we've ever had. Kahana was such a beautiful, convenient location with access to everything we could imagine. The condominium was beautiful and very comfortable. So nice that we ate the majority of our meals there. We couldn't ask for a better view and every morning we were able to watch the whales jumping right from our deck. We all enjoyed the beach in front of the condominium. It wasn't crowded like most of the other beaches and we could swim and snorkel to our hearts content. I loved the private, friendly feel of Kahana Village and we are hoping to stay there again on our next trip.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
