Birdsong # 27 our beautifully decorated condo located on the beautiful white sandy beach of the Gulf of Mexico, allowing you to enjoy it's warm fluffy sand as you step off of our patio. We have free off street parking for our guest, although a car is not necessary. Our Birdsong Beach Condos of Treasure Island are within walking distance to fine dining restaurants, beach bars, cafes, McDonald's, Publix waterfront super market, along with a Walgreens and several beach or surf shops. You can catch one of the many Free Beach taxis (they drive for tips) or the Sun Coast Trolley to historic John's Pass (also with in walking distance) where you will find a fishing village boardwalk that is home to one of the famous Hooters Restaurant, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Friendly Fisherman Restaruant, Sculley's, Hub's Raw bar and Tavern, Casa Havana Cigar and Cafe, Meyer's House of Sweets, Jim's Harley Shop, along with several other ice cream, candy and souvenir shops. Hubbard's Marina (check out their webcam) offers deep-sea fishing charters, and sunset criuses. Boat/jet-ski rentals, gambling cruises, parasailing, paddle board rentals are also available from the boardwalk.
If you are a baseball fan, you will love being able to stay on the beach and be minutes away from your favorite teams! St Petersburg's Tropicana Field is the home of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankee's Steinbrenner Field is in Tampa and the Philadelphia Phillies Britehouse Field is in Clearwater, all are located minutes away from your Treasure Island condo!!
If racing is your pleasure, you will love staying on the beach and attending the Honda Grand Prix race held annually in downtown St Petersburg! A very exciting experience, once a year the streets are blocked of on one side of town and used as a track for Formula 1 race cars!
Tampa's Busch Gardens is a one hour drive and Orlando's Disney, Epcot, Seaworld, MGM Universal Studios and Lego Land are just two hours away.
During your visit, I suggest you walk around downtown Saint Petersburg, the ambience is indescribable, our quaint town will steal your heart!!
The European-style sidewalk dining over looking Straub Park, with lush grass and huge old growth banyan trees creating perfect serenity with the sparkling waters of Tampa Bay.
The Salvador Dali Museum, Chihuly Collection, Florida Holocaust Museum, Museum of Fine Arts and the Morean Arts Center all in our beautiful waterfront downtown St Petersburg!
If golf is your passion, we have golfing all around, with twenty 18-hole courses from two miles to 15 miles away. May I suggest, Saddlebrook Resort with 2 signature Arnold Palmer courses. A mere one hour drive from our beach these 2 great courses are open to the public, with every golf service and amenity that you could need. Each of the courses were designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, allowing you to enjoy wilderness areas full of cypress, pines, palms rolling fairways and well maintained greens. On a closer note, another suggestion is 10.4 miles away, another legendary golf course, Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club. Florida golf doesn't get any better than Bardmoor, broad generous fairways that invite you to hit away. The glistening water, abundant sunshine and a beautifully wonderful course. Arnold Palmer, Payne Stewart, Fred Couples and Tom Kite are some of the great players who have played here, the course is a good test for the stars! A 2003 renovation by Gary Koch has produced a course consistently rated as one of Florida's premier golf course. Only minutes away from Birdsong of Treasure Island! What more could you want ... beautiful beach, premier golf courses, tournament level fishing charters and did I mention ... the shopping?
The Tampa Bay area offers shopping options that dreams are made of. The International Plaza, is host to Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Michael Kors, just to name a few. Saks Fifth Avenue is minutes away in West Shore Plaza.
For beauty, fine dining along with exquisite shopping downtown St Petersburg's Beach Drive features Chihuly Collection Store, for an unique shopping experience, one of the finest selections of internationally-recognized artist Dale Chihuly merchandise in the world. You will find limited edition prints, glass art, books and jewelry. Downtown offers a plethora of shopping choices.
Have lunch or dinner on our 'inverted pyramid' pier, a landmark in itself. Johny Reno's Waterfront Dining and Wateringhole, located on the World Famous St Petersburg Pier is a must enjoy experience to have while in our area. The Columbia Restaurant also, located on the pier has been a 'Florida tradition' since 1905.
A mere 30 minutes away is Tampa, our other beautiful waterfront city, there you will find NFL football at Raymond James Stadium, along with NHL hockey games at St Petes Forum. Tampa is the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning!
If gambling is your choice for fun, The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa is less than a hour away! In addition, we are a short drive to Derby Lane dog track , Tampa Bay Downs horse track and The Silks Poker Room.

Thank you Dussy and David for our wonderful stay at the Birdsong, we had a wonderful stay! The location is wonderful,and we loved our unit. The weather was a little chilly, but with so much to do,we didn't mind at all. This is our second time at the Birdsong and we love the Treasure Island area. The unit was clean and neat and had everything we needed for a most relaxing stay. Can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was the first time we stayed here and it was the perfect size and right on the beach! The condo had all the amenities and was well maintained. The pictures are very accurate and the property manager was very helpful. We were able to walk to restaurants adn the grocery & liquor store and the fireworks were right there on the beach! I would receommend this place and would definately come back! Thanks!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I had a week off including Labor Day weekend and made a somewhat last minute reservation for this property. I was a little concerned as I usually like to plan everything a little further in advance. I need not have worried. The owner was great! She provided information on things to do nearby, nice restaurants and the local happenings. The pictures are very accurate and reflect the rental's appearance, the only difference was the furniture arrangement in the living room, but big deal! The unit was well appointed, bright and airy, clean and is littlerally steps from the ocean. Within walking distance are several local restaurants for sit down or take out, fast food places, a Subway, and a Publix Supermarket. Everything really is quite convenient. I would recommend this property as a "Home Away from Home" if you like being at the beach. If you are wanting to get around and see some sights, there is plenty to do. The Botanical Gardens, Dali Museum, Fort DeSoto, Baseball and Football Games, Busch Gardens and Casino are all within an hour. I look forward to my next trip to Treasure Island and making this unit my home for the week.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: My husband and I live in Ohio and Florida. We love the wide white sandy beach and the glorious sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico! The conveniences and the small town friendly feeling you get in Treasure Island. It is a great place to vacation and many of our guest agree.

We purchased # 27 in the Birdsong in 1998 as a family vacation and rental property. Our family has owned and rented condos in the Birdsong since 1991. We have had many guest enjoy the Birdsong and return year after year.
