  Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect location, wonderful, comfortable, well-equipped apartment. Even has washer/dryer! Only negative: 2 winding flights up, no elevator (a bit tough with heavy valises). Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

  Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was adequately helpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location Location Location, Charm, and Some Drawbacks Just returned from a happy stay with my husband in our favorite Paris neighborhood. PROS: (This apartment is not for everyone. See the cons below.) Location, cleanliness, charming decor and quiet sleep are the best reasons to stay. The bed and bedroom are comfortable, with modern bath - one toilet and big master bath with tall shower. Wifi and free calls to US/Paris a plus. Nice welcome gifts and washer/dryer. Rue de Bretagne is a dream for food lovers and accessible to metro stops and lovely walks. CONS: If you have joint or mobility problems, know that there are two ancient, uneven, winding, steep staircases to the apartment. They would be ok for most people. I'm very active and not elderly, but I have arthritis and the stairs were difficult/scary for me. Not to mention the awkward task of carrying luggage up to the apartment. Cobblestay told me the stairs were going to be "average." It disappointed me that they gave me false info. The tiny living room has a little dining table, and three unstable chairs. They are too small for comfortable seating, except possibly for three children and there is no hope of dinner for four. The only real seating is a large, well worn couch with no useable side tables. The electronics are piled in a mess on top of a small glass shelf under the TV. Cords are all around the TV - not only is it an eyesore in the middle of an adorable room, it could be dangerous. A cheap cabinet would solve this. Bizarre in an otherwise cute place. Closet space is limited, good for two people but four would be a challenge. I knew the place would be small, that's okay. But they advertise it as an apartment for four - I cannot imagine four grown people sharing this space unless they were just sleeping/showering there.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my second time to stay in this apartment and I enjoyed it even more than the first. The apartment is richly decorated and has a spacious, luxurious bath and very efficient, bright kitchen. It is easy to get anywhere from here but then, this neighborhood is so terrific you may not want to leave. There is a load of food shopping, and excellent restaurants frequented by locals. The owners are very helpful and welcome you with wine, cheese, fruit, bread, robes and flowers

The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment was absolutely spotless. Plenty of room, too. Lovely linens. A truly wonderful assortment of "welcome cheeses and fruits." Coffee. Even a bottle of Champagne - which sadly we did not get to! Only thing I would recommend would be a complete instruction "manual" printed out in English for travelers who would like to have exact instructions for using telephone, stovetop, safe...The instructions should be STEP BY STEP! The brief intro was a LOT of information in a very little time. Hard to remember everything! Would be nice to have a reference manual! Other than that, lovely place, lovely way to save a lot of money when visiting Paris. Half the price of the hotel I usually stay in! So, more money for great restaurants...and pastries! (Again, the place was immaculate and stylishly decorated.)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great little apartment in the Marais, up 2 flights of stairs and about 3 blocks from the Metro. The apartment had everything we wanted and was very quiet except for New Year's Eve with some noise across the way but to be expected. We loved the welcome supplies like baguette, cheese, fruit, and sparkling wine. We loved the washer/dryer. Would definitely stay again next time in Paris.

Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely experience at the apartment, in my favorite part of Paris--the northern Marais right by the wonderful food street of Rue de Bretagne. The apartment is exactly as pictured, lovely and refined. It's on the 2nd floor (which means climbing those stairs can provide quite the workout after a heavy meal) and faces the inner courtyard. That means it gets no direct light, but it's very quiet as long as the upstairs neighbors aren't running around. We loved the well-equipped kitchen and having both a washer and dryer was great. It was also wonderful having free Wi-Fi. We didn't use the free calling to landlines in the U.S., but having free calls within Paris came in handy. There were plenty of lights (including reading lights by the bed). The only caveat I have is the shower. The gorgeously designed shower pan was really shallow and the water didn't drain fast enough. That meant we had to be pretty careful to keep the water from overflowing onto the bathroom floor. However, there was an ample amount of hot water and the bathtub made a nice alternative. The apartment would be great for any couple, especially celebrating a special occasion.
