AWAKEN your Senses as you enter Ocean Beach and experience our “Pacific Wonderland!!!” This modern functioning beach property provides dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean. Spend hours mesmerized by the sunlit water while you watch dolphins, surfers, sailors, sport fishers, whales and people at play. All of this is within your view from the homes main living areas & spacious furnished patio/deck. The floor plan has an open flow and the space is light & airy with sky lights and sun-soaked plantation shutter covered windows. All rooms have recessed lighting, ceiling fans & saltillo tile floors with area rugs. Cushy carpet is installed in the Master Suite & primary living area. The reverse floor plan is conducive to everyone young and old making it the perfect solution for singles, couples or families!!!
This 2 bedroom 2 bath home is approximately 1,500 sq. ft. The “Great Room” includes the living room, kitchen and dining room. The counter height island incorporates a gas stove top and provides extra seating in the center of the kitchen/dining area which is optimum for views. French doors open out to the furnished patio/deck which extends out from the kitchen. The “Entertainment” central part of the house includes a fireplace, TV/Stereo, love seat & queen sized sofa/futon with a 10” memory foam mattress. The primary Master Suite is upstairs to the rear and has a walk in closet, double vanity bathroom with step in shower and a queen sized bed. A mirror on a large chest of drawers balances the room and provides storage in addition to the walk-in closet.
Downstairs is the second bedroom that includes a closet with built-ins, tile bathroom, and shower. This room includes 2 full sized 12” memory foam beds and a dresser for additional storage. The separate office and laundry room combo give you a place to browse the web in search of local events. On site laundry is provided and our guests are responsible for their soap unless arranged otherwise. At the foot of the staircase are steps to the garage where the recycling container is stored. This is also a secure location for surf boards, bikes, golf bags, etc.
The house sits back off of the street and there is off street parking for 2 vehicles in the front of the garage. Also around the house exterior are places to hang wet towels & rinse off after spending time at the beach!
“Saratoga Park” is at the foot of the street. This grassy park has concrete benches, fire pits and outdoor BBQs available to the public on a first come first serve basis. The white sandy beach is only 1/2 block away with Newport Avenue (antique stores, restaurants, shops, boutiques, coffee houses, bars & more) being only 2 blocks away. This is close for convenience but far enough away to still enjoy your privacy, peace & quiet (because of the reverse floor plan)! Easy access!! Walk to ALL!! Beach, Famous Ocean Beach Pier, Parks, Tide Pools, Surfing, Volleyball, Robb Field, amazing bike & walking trails, San Diego River Nature Preserve, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, & so much more... There are many storefronts in the heart of OB that offer rentals for bikes & surfboards, No matter what you are looking for, you won't have to go far to find it!!!
Live like a local and check out the different staircases at the dead end of the streets along the Cliffs. These provide access to tide pools, private beaches and surf spots. Watch a “green flash” sunset from the Cliffs where the scenery continues to be “postcard & wedding worthy.” On the North side of Ocean Beach is Robb Field, San Diego Nature Preserve, bike/walking paths & Dog Beach. The asphalt path takes you over/under the bridge to get to Mission Bay, Fiesta Island and runs along the San Diego River into Mission Valley. On the South side of Ocean Beach is Sunset Cliffs Natural Park and further out on “The Point” is Cabrillo National Monument with breathtaking views of all of San Diego, local mountain ranges, Coronado Islands, Mexico and even some occasional whales!
Ocean Beach has a strong sense of community with ongoing weekly and annual events. Wednesday night is the weekly “Farmer’s Market” where local growers sell organic produce & fresh flowers. Vendors also serve food & sell handcrafted items by local artisans. There is always live music and rides for the kids! Special events such as the Holiday Parade, Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook Off, Fourth of July Fireworks, Oktoberfest, Music Festival & much more are held throughout the year.
Ocean Beach & Point Loma is positioned on a Peninsula. The Ocean Side is Ocean Beach & Sunset Cliffs and the Harbor Side is Point Loma & Shelter Island. Point Loma is just a couple miles over the hill and is home of Liberty Station and Point Loma Village offering more restaurants, amenities & services.
Downtown San Diego & Gas lamp Quarter is only 7 miles from Ocean Beach with Balboa Park only about 10 miles away. Balboa Park is home to many of the City’s largest attractions such as the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Museum of Art, Old Globe Theatre & much, much more. Over the bridge is Coronado Island which is home to the historic Hotel Del Coronado. Up the coast is Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Torrey Pines & Del Mar.
Whether you enjoy beach combing, sun bathing, sailing, surfing, boogie boarding, sport fishing, exploring tide pools, riding or walking the bike path(s), golfing, playing tennis, concerts or watching for distant whales I've never been at a loss for something to do.
There are endless golf courses throughout San Diego. Mission Bay and Presidio Hills are with 7 miles. Barnes Tennis Center is at the entrance into Ocean Beach off of the Fwy 8.
Bottom line is we are here to make your vacation an ''EXPERIENCE.'' This is one of the last genuine beach towns on the West Coast & once you arrive you will already be checking the calendar for your return booking.

Our family had an amazing stay at the Pacific Wonderland. It was a perfect location to be close to both the beach and downtown with two small children. We walked to most locations but also found the off-street parking to be a real luxury with our rental vehicle. The view from the porch was a perfect setting to wrap up our day and watch the sunset each night. This is a spacious home with a split floor plan with a bedroom downstairs and plenty of sleeping space in both the living room and master suite upstairs. We found the renting agent to be very helpful and accessible, although we did not need to contact them for anything throughout the week. The keyless allowed us the opportunity to have a seamless arrival and departure. We would highly recommend this location to other families visiting the area!Did you find this review helpful? The house is located ideally one block from the ocean and two blocks from great eating establishments .We work in the maintenance of major buildings and noticed immediately on arrival that this property is as clean and well cared for as the website showed .The front deck with the view of the ocean was the most enjoyed part of the house for us .All you need to bring are your clothes and groceries and you will be able to live ,cook ,and relax as if you were at home because this is a very well stocked property .The house has great natural sunlight but at night we appreciated the interior lighting and especially the exterior motion activated lights when we would come back after dark .Hopefully we will be in touch with Nate in the future and be able to arrange another wonderful stay in Ocean Beach . The whole prospect of renting one of these vacation homes made me a bit nervous. You can't really tell exactly WHERE the house is, or how close it truly is to the beach. And, obviously, you wonder how much of the descriptions are accurate, vs. marketing language to try and get you to commit. Well, much to the delight of the four people with me, I hit a homerun. The location was wonderful: The house was maybe 6-7 houses from the beach, and a VERY short walk to the main drag in town where everything happens. Not only that, but unlike so many other houses here, we actually HAD OUR OWN DRIVEWAY, which felt like a real treat. The house was immaculate: One master bedroom upstairs, a bedroom downstairs with two beds, and even a big fold-out couch ... all with memory foam mattresses. Nice showers too. Many of the windows were covered with plantation shutters (nice), and yes, we could see the beach from the house. The front balcony was a nice place to relax with some coffee in the morning with that ocean view. There were more than enough pots, pans and even a Bar-B-Que grill to do as much cooking in the house as you wanted to. You name it, that kitchen had it. If you wanted stuff to do inside the house, they had a big collection of books, lots of current DVDs (we watched Breaking Bad a few nights) and local cable with lots of channels. Nate was extremely accommodating, and seemed ready to help us out however we might need it. Our next trip to Ocean Beach? There's no question where we're staying.Did you find this review helpful? Nate provided us with great service from beginning to end. We loved the space and it worked out perfectly for our group. We have visited SD before but not to Ocean Beach specifically so this was our 'first time' which we found very enjoyable. Everyone seems so easy going with smiles on their faces! This 2 story house is central to EVERYTHING, steps from the beach, and has ocean views! The open floor plan made it great for our family gathering. This is a beautiful HOUSE that sleeps up to 8, WiFi, music throughout, separate laundry room and lots of amenities in heart of Ocean Beach. We will return the next chance we get!
