We had a wonderful family filled vacation at this great home for less money!! We wanted to stay by the beach but this great home(that feels like home) was a quarter of a mile from the beach for way less than beachfront money. Lots of room for the whole family to come stay at once. Cute rooms with nice beds to sleep and everything you need to live, all the while only packing your clothes. The exact dates of each season are somewhat variable.
The Winter rental is available from Columbus Day to Memorial Day weekend.
Spring rental is Memorial Day weekend to the weekend before 4th of July week.
High Season is 4th of July week to Labor Day weekend.
Fall is Labor Day weekend to Columbus Day weekend.

About the owner: This is the fantastic family that enjoyed the fun and warmth of this terrific home for the last 25 years. This home was lovingly rebuilt from the foundation up during the WWII by the family of the owner we bought it from while he was serving in the war and his bride and infant son awaited his return. They took amazing care of this home and their loving touches are everywhere. For instance the entire kitchen and dining room is knotty pine. We moved into this home with 3 small children, brought another into the fold, and welcomed several 'strays' over the years. Other children that were relatives of friends of our children that needed a home. It was a little cramped sometimes, but no one ever complained and many a memorable 'movie night' was enjoyed even from the view from the floor propped up against the couches which were crowded. Before renting this home we repaired everything unfit thing and upgraded a few things that probably should have been done before. 4 brand new beds is just one example of the choices we made to ensure that your stay would be the first of many. There's parking enough for your extended to family be here for any sort of party you like. We've hosted 2 weddings and too many parties to count and never had to park a car on a neighbor's property. There's over 2 acres here including driveway, parking lot, buildings, gardens and trees, and lawn, lawn, lawn.
Why the Owner Chose Wells:
When I met the man of my dreams he was in the process of moving to Wells Maine where his mother had owned a home right on the beach for several years. When he knew it was time for a change it seemed like a great place to make a new beginning. Since his entire family had spent many a summer in Wells, but never lived here year round he had no idea what a wonderful place Wells Maine is to live and raise children
It's easy to get to know people around here because everyone is to friendly and welcoming. The entire school system holds only about 1,500 children!
This community is so safe - we've never locked the cars in our yard, and when we decided to rent we had to get new door handles because we didn't have a key - we've never locked the door to our house for as long as we've lived here! That's safe and trustworthy right?
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This home is 'that' house where you feel comfortable walking in. Since we always had an open door policy, ours was the house where some beverage or other was always readily available for 1 or 50 people. You can comfortably have up to 30 people in the ground floor rooms of Kitchen, Dining Room, and Living Room.
This is definitely the house that's appropriate for adult siblings to rent together now that you all have kids of your own. Lots of outdoor space to play, there's even a tree swing or two.
