Borgo La Casa is an old farmhouse in Tuscany with two annexes: a cow stable and a pig stable. The main house was built over 250 years ago. We have bought La Casa in 2003. After a 3-year restoration process, which started in 2008, La Casa has been converted into a borgo with the main house now used by the owner as their second home and the two annexes have been rebuild as luxury guesthouses: Casa Giglio (6 people) and Casa Girasole (4 people). <b>At guests' disposal:</b> Borgo La Casa also includes a <b>heated swimming pool</b>. The size of the pool is 6 x 14 meters. The depth of the pool is 1,2 to 1,8 meter. The pool is open 15 April to 31 October. <b>The two guesthouses can be booked - both seperately and combined - as a luxury holiday villa.</b> The main house has a lavanderia with a washing machine and a dryer for common use. Here you will also find a user manual for the washing machine and the dryer. Borgo La Casa is located on a hill side at the Arno river near Bibbiena in the Casentino valley. The borgo offers a spectacular view on the valley and the castle in Poppi, "Castello dei Conti Guidi", as a landmark. The Casentino valley is located in the eastern part of Tuscany, between Florence and Arezzo. The land of La Casa is located next to National Park Casentino, one of the largest national parks of Italy. With a little bit of luck you can see (late in the evening and early in the morning) the deer and boars in the field. <b>Distances</b> There is a large supermarket near Bibbiena (by car only 5 minutes) Bibbiena is about 2 kms (about 5 minutes) Poppi is about 5 kms (about 10 minutes) Arezzo is 35 kms (about 45 minutes) Florence is 65 kms (about 1,5 hours) Pisa is 95 kms (about 2 hours) Casa Giglio is a luxury holiday villa for 6 people. The villa has a spacious terrace overlooking the (heated) swimming pool. The entrance of the villa is located at the little square (Piazza Mariottini) which is the heart of the borgo. Casa Giglio has a floor heating system on both the ground floor as upstairs which makes is comfortable to use the house throughout the entire year. GROUND FLOOR: Entrance, a spacious living room with a traditional fireplace. A well-equipped kitchen ( refridgerator, freezer, combi oven, gas cooker and dishwasher, an electric watercooker, coffeemachine and an electric lemon squeezer. All kitchen furniture is handmade. The kitchen has sufficient crockery and cookware and a large dining table for 8 to 10 people. FIRST FLOOR: 3 double bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with shower, toilet and double sink. The villa is furnished with a mixture of traditional antique furniture, hand made iron beds and modern furniture.
