This place was amazing! I had high expectations and i was not let down. The pool, the house, the dock, and the owner were excellent. We already have an other trip booked for this summer!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We stayed at this property in early October..and had the most relaxing & wonderful vacation we could have imagined. The owners were super accomodating. The house had everything we needed, and then some. We spent almost the entire time outside..swimming in the pool..hot tub...bbqing in the outdoor kitchen. We even caught 6 catfish off the dock on a Sunday morning. I can't rave enough about the property and the owners. The house is unbelievable..the pictures here do not do it justice. I hope we are able to come back someday. Thank you - Brad.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Brownwood is more fun than painting my fence just to watch it dry! They don't call it 'brownwood' for nothing. It's brown, just like the water at Lake Brownwood. The pecans are cheap and plentiful in this area of Texas. 6 months of the year, it gets so hot I'd swear hell was only six inches deep. Howard Payne University is a must-see, but after your 30 minute tour, it gets tougher to find other things to do. Once a year, there is a rattlesnake roundup, and the rolls @ Underwood's cafeteria are tasty. Go once, and make the kids happy you picked Gary, Indiana for your next vacation.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities.
