  We arrived on Roatan on 1/17/2013 and saw the sun... It was the last we saw of it until we flew out on the 26th of Jan. This is not a complaint of the villa, but so you can better appreciate we used the villa to the fullest extent as we could not get outside very much in the rain / wind. The description / pictures are quite accurate to the villa. The ceiling fans on the outside front patio are not there anymore, otherwise everything is as is. We have rented numerous VRBO villas over the years and this was the only one that had a full, complete set of everything in the kitchen. We wanted for nothing. It was wonderful. Other high points: Mark, the concierge for Roatan Life, was outstanding. We attempted to book our own rental car via Costco's discount and Dollar. On arrival, not only didn't Dollar have our car (or any cars), but they were not even at the airport! Mark saved our bacon in finding another one. Lesson learned here, if you think you need a vehicle in Roatan, have Mark or whomever your concierge is, book it for you. You won't waste two hours at the airport trying to get another one. The downsides of the villa: 1) Beach traffic with the cruise ships. On cruise ship arrival days, the passengers come in mass via buses to the beach. It gets awfully crowded and loud. You'll love the non-cruise days. 2) No outside shower for washing off gear or yourself from the ocean. They have a small foot bath by the front door. 3) No direct access to the beach. You need to walk through the parking lot to get there and around the front. 4) No generator for back-up power. The power went off frequently due to the weather so this was inconvenient. 5) No screens on the windows to be let the sea breeze or to turn off the A/C. We spent most of our time snorkeling and went diving with Bananarama Dive Resort. Great people, good equipment and very skilled. The reef was absolutely fantastic whether it be snorkeling or diving. We took our 4 y/o to the Gumbalimba park for the monkey encounter. It is actually a tour, which we weren't initially interested in, but it was worth while in the end. Being able to handle the monkeys / macaws was a total treat. We also went to Anthony's Key Resort for the dolphin encounters. For 30 minutes, you get into shallow water (3 feet or so) and meet / pet the dolphin while the trainer talks to you. The 4 y/o loved it. Despite the rain, we had a good time and the villa is well equipped for being stuck indoors!

  This is a beautiful condo with the most perfect location on West bay beach. Beginning with are arrival at the airport, everything was taken care of and arranged to make our experience perfect. The condo is beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable, has everything you need, the beach is spectacular and Liz took care of everything we needed. It is a short walk on the beach to great restaurants, nightlife, shopping is nearby and it's very safe with security 24 hours a day. We had an incredible week and can't wait to return!

  This was our first trip to Roatan and we could not have chosen a better place to spend seven days in paradise! This condo is beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. What you see IS what you get here! We spent a lot of time on the comfy balcony where you can watch all the beach activity, gaze at the beautiful sunsets and even flag down the banana donut man! The reef is amazing and so close to the beach! The rental staff was great to work with and very informative, thanks Liz! We didn't wear shoes the entire week, even to dinner. Margaritaville does exist and we found it! We will be back!

  We loved this condo. It is situated on the best beach on Roatan. Mike, the property manager, was a big help getting us located in this beautiful condo. It is just like the pictures. We could snorkel right off the beach - saw beautiful coral and many different type of fish. Beach was very busy during the day but very quiet at night. We could walk to great restaurants. We would return.

  We were looking for somewhere special for our first visit to Roatan. And Coral Sands really hit the mark. Amazing views of white beach and blue seas, great location next to some good bars and places to eat, lovely staff at both the agency and onsite. The property is surprisingly well equipped with high quality linens and furnishings. We occasionally like to cook on vacation and found the huge fridge and great selection of equipment a real bonus. But the real attraction is having the warm sea and soft sand at your doorstep. I'm going to miss waking up to that view and watching the sun go down from the balcony with a cold beer in my hand!

  Fantastic property on an amazing beach. This is a well appointed, clean and well maintained 2nd floor 3 bedroom condo with two outdoor spaces and more than enough room. This unit is so close to the beach, we often enjoyed sitting on the deck watching our boys play on the beach below. You cannot get any closer. The location of Coral Sands allows to get involved as much as you want with all of the activity on West Bay Beach. Whether you want to wade the short distance to the reef to snorkel, kayak, fishing, parasail or just stroll the beach to visit one of restaurants for lunch, dinner or a cocktail, it is all right there. If you want to visit West End, water taxis are on the pier right your backdoor. We will be back and highly recommend the property.

  Rarely does a vacation exceed expectations, but our family's March 2011 visit to the Coral Sands complex on West Bay Beach in Roatan easily did just that. This beautiful 2nd floor condo is the absolute best location on one of the greatest beaches. This is an excellent 3 bedroom condo with two outdoor spaces and more than enough room. In fact, this unit is so close to the beach, we often enjoyed sitting on the deck watching our boys play on the beach below. You cannot get any closer. The location of Coral Sands affords you the opportunity to get involved as much as you want with all of the activity on West Bay Beach. Whether you want to wade the short distance to the reef to snorkel, kayak, fishing, parasail or just stroll the beach to visit one of restaurants for lunch, dinner or a cocktail, it is all right there. If you want to visit West End, water taxis are on the pier right your backdoor. Unfortunately, this condo and vacation has raised our vacation standard and will be hard to meet in the future.
