Stylish Private Studio Apt in Silver Lake-Steps from Reservoir

  My boyfriend and I stayed in this Silver Lake studio apartment for 6 nights while we traveled around the greater L.A. area on vacation. This was our first time using VRBO, so we were a little bit nervous about the whole experience, including the financial transactions and our safety. We honestly couldn't have had a more perfect first experience!! Walter was great to deal with and answered all of our questions with great patience -- he really went above and beyond!! The studio apartment was just as the listing photos made it appear -- or maybe even better!! For a studio apartment, it was a decent size and we didn't feel like we were living right on top of one another for the week. We rented a car for a stay, and while sometimes there was a lot of parking on the streets in the evenings when we returned from a long day of sightseeing, we never did not get a parking spot within feet of the apartment. The flowers around the property are absolutely gorgeous, the studio has all of the little things you need (wine opener, appliances). We had never been to a Trader Joe's before (they don't exist in Canada), but the great Trader Joe's shampoo & conditioner provided by the owner was amazing (we had to go out and buy some to take home with us!) There are a few little shops and cafes in a 5-10 minute walking distance, and the area feels very residential (not touristy) and it feels very safe. The apartment is in a great location for people visiting on holidays as well; close to the highway and about 10 minutes of highway driving to get downtown, and in the other direction, about 10 minutes of highway driving to get to Hollywood. We easily navigated our way around because this place is easy to get in and out of (with the help of the GPS of course). Dodger stadium isn't far either!! The apartment is extremely well maintained and it was spotless when we arrived. We were also greeted by Walter's friendly cat on several occasions -- too cute! The apartment was quiet, the a/c and the water pressure were great. I can't think of a single constructive thing to say about the property! It was perfect from beginning to end! We will stay here again if we ever get the chance; and I highly recommend that you do too!

  Walter's perfectly located and well appointed studio is extremely comfortable for anyone interested in a peaceful stay in a wonderful neighborhood. It is literally five minutes from the lake itself and close to the very sinful and equally irresistible L.A. Mill eatery. Our host was there for us every step of the way and we will certainlly be back atnthe first opportunity. It was very hard to leave ...

  This is a really great studio apartment in Silverlake. It's a studio, to be sure, but it's also private and quiet and clean and functional--two blocks from Silverlake Reservoir, minutes from the I-5, steps from the chic shops and oyster bar and truly functional 7-11 on Silverlake Boulevard. Walt is a great and discreet host--there when you need him but otherwise you can pretend like you really live here. I'd stay here again in a minute.

  What a gem of a place this is. Rented for a week in late September. Gracious owner, beautifully decorated, all the creature comforts (washer-dryer, kitchenette incl. utensils, etc.), ready street parking, private entrance, stone's throw away from the reservoir offering great incentive to stay active and walking distance to all one needs (including 7-11 for sundries). You just can't beat it. I know it'll be the first place I look up for any visitor coming to town. One should be so lucky that it is available for rent! Cheers and thank you, Walter!

  L'appartamento di Walter è situato in un'ottima posizione per muoversi a LA. Curato nei dettagli, questo studio è molto pulito, silenzioso e confortevole e la zona in cui si trova è residenziale. Io e mio marito ci siamo sentiti davvero come a casa nostra! Non vi mancherà niente e, nel caso dovesse succedere, potrete contare sulla gentilezza e l'accoglienza di Walter. Da non sottovalutare il fatto che si può parcheggiare comodamente in strada grazie ad un permesso che Walter vi consegnerà. E' stata un'esperienza indimenticabile: non perdetevela!

  My daughter stayed here for 10 weeks while she interned in LA and it was the perfect place for her! The apartment is clean, neat and well appointed. Plenty of space and closets, a nice TV and all the cooking utensils you could need. Noise travels quite well in the area, especially from upstairs, but it is no problem at all for people who are visiting and busy during the day. Walter is very helpful and a wonderful host. There is always available parking and the apartment is nice and protected. She lived there alone but always felt very safe.

  Our 3 week stay went by quickly with no hitches. The apartment proved to be ideally located for easy access to restaurants, coffee houses and some unique boutiques and antique stores, and a short 15 -20 minutes to our son’s home. Everything we needed was provided. The kitchen came in handy for quick meals and the patio was great for relaxing with a laptop or good book. Walter was the perfect landlord, even dropping off daffodils for the kitchen table. Highly recommended!

  This property is fantastic! I highly recommend booking this studio for your stay in LA. The apartment is immaculate and hands down far nicer than any hotel room you'll pay WAY more for. I loved that parking was convenient, as I was traveling with an infant. Lots of nice touches throughout the space and great fully functional kitchen. The property owner was extremely pleasant and helpful. Great neighborhood with lots of fun walks around the reservoir and plenty of sweet shops nearby. All in all, I can't wait to return.

  It was so clean and comfortable and well furnished and well maintained. I was traveling alone and I felt very safe there. It was a great location, too. The owner was very accessible and I highly recommend it.

  My wife and I stayed in Walter's studio apartment for three days in November while visiting our son. The location in Silver Lake is perfect - near the the reservoir and a block from a top notch coffee shop/cafe. Parking is on the street by permit, which Walter provides. Never had a problem finding a spot near the house. The apartment is modern, clean and comfortable. The kitchenette is a big plus, and the walk-in shower is first rate. Walter, the owner, is nice guy who doesn't bother you unless you contact him. The unit is in a walk-out lower level and very private, with a cute little patio adjacent. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Incredible value for LA.
