This villa was a real find, having everything you need for a great holiday. 2 bedrooms (each with it's own bathroom) were on different levels of the villa, providing privacy and space. A couple of minutes walk to the beach, to Double Six and all my favourite eateries in Legian. The villa is beautiful and completely private. Everything has been organised for a great stay, Nengah always willing to help if needed. Definitely will be returning...Thanks Jay and Wayne :)Did you find this review helpful? This beautiful home is very close to several great Restaurants the beach and to many great shops for special Bali shopping. We enjoyed our stay so much with a amazing privay in the middle of famous Legian;every morning and evening we jumped into this fantastic refreshing pool just in front of the living room enjoying the total privacy of it. Both bedrooms are beautiful and very spacious as well as the bathrooms with shower and a bathtub. Daily maintainance is superb and discrete by Nengah & Putu available to help for anything needed. We love Villa Pondok Jawa and prefer it to any luxury hotel in view of the intimacy we had there . We can't wait to go back there soon. WOW what an amazing villa to stay in Bali! This was our first time choosing to stay in a private villa (we have always stayed in resorts) and I am so glad we decided to choose "Pondok Jawa". We were so impressed that we have already been back twice now, this time when I was 7 months pregnant. The first time we stayed with our friends (4 adults & 1 child), the villa was perfect for 2 families as the upstairs is large enough for 2 adults + 2 kids, plus the downstairs bedroom. The plunge pool was by far the COLDEST & most refreshing pool in Bali, & trust me you definatley want this when in such hot conditions & especially pregnant! The outdoor bathroom downstairs is so beautiful & very spacious, with huge spa bath & shower in both bathrooms, we even had our own pet "Gecko" that would visit us most nights. The lounge / dining room opened up onto the plunge pool, and we spent many a hot afternoon sitting in the pool while watching our newly purchased DVD's from down the road. The loctation of the villa is fantastic, so quiet & private inside yet so central to everything...only a 2 minute walk down a little ally way to the beach & some amazing & yummy cafes & restaurants, and SO CHEAP! Go down the other way & there is an abundance of great shops, spa's & more yummy places to eat. A big shout out to the boys Nengah & putu who took great care of us & the villa during our stay. If anyone wants to hire a scooter / moped Nengah will hire his scooter out at a great rate! and the neighbours organised surf trips for the boys (& girls). We love Pondok Jawa so much we have booked our third trip back next year for my husbands 30th this time with our 1year old daughter, we cant wait!!
