I spent 4 nts solo and then 3 more with my 5 year old. The unit is very nice and offers a great view of the St.Lawrence and is very peaceful. I can't say enough about the owners..GREAT people that went above and beyond in every way. My daughter had a great time and literally had to be pried away so that we could go home! We'll definitely be back. Thanks again to the owners for making the week so enjoyable for us! See you soon!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My husband and I took my mother on a 4 night getaway close to Ottawa and close enough to visit his mother in Avonmore. The views were awesome and coffee on the deck in the mornings were great! The owners were always making sure we were okay and that everything was fine. They shared with us some "Lancaster Perch" and it tasted great! If you are looking for a quiet getaway on the lake -this is the place! We will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Wow! We got way more than we thought we'd get...wish we could post a picture of the CATCH OF THE DAY!! Great hospitality! Relaxing! Exciting! We cooked the fish caught the same day! There's fun in Ville Marie in Montreal, not too far away! Our teenage sons really enjoyed their time there too with the boating options! Everyone had a great vacation! The house was clean and accommodating. Plans to return next year although wish we could go back right now!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Stayed for 5 days with our kids and had the most fabulous time ever. The weather was great and we especially enjoyed the Kayak rentals just a few minutes away to keep cool on the hot summer days, Not to mention the Walleye Fishing trip that the owner took us on was fantastic. ( Caught our Walleye Limit in 2 Hours) The views are amazing as described on the listing and you couldn't ask for anything more especially the service these people offered to us and our Guests.. We will be back!!!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Stayed at this lovely property from June 9 - 30, 2011 and our family could not have asked for a more perfect location! The unit was clean and contained everything we needed for our 3 week stay. Would definitely recommend this as a vacation get-a-way. Would love to return next summer. Donna & BenRecommended for: Families with teenagers.
