Spacious, comfortable, and private with a touch of luxury and quality throughout, our immaculate Spanish architectural style Coronado family home is visually pleasing to relax in and turnkey ready for your Coronado vacation. Everything in Coronado is a very short walk, bike ride or car/taxi ride from our home. We are located on a lovely residential street 2 blocks from the bay, across from a small park with playground, five blocks from the Ferry Landing (dining, shopping and activities) and 10 blocks from Coronado Beach at Sunset Park. Our home is filled with quality and exceptional custom detail from the main level saltillo tile and wood floors, the many French doors and windows, and our well-appointed granite and stainless KITCHEN to the wonderful PATIO GARDENS with lots of fragrant roses, tropical plantings, water features and a Jacuzzi spa. Property is fully walled and gated with keyless entry for security and privacy. The first level main living areas and carpeted second level with three bedrooms accommodate 6-8 easily with comfort and plenty of living space for all in 2400 sq ft. Furnishings are an eclectic and tasteful mix of leather, antiques and coastal casual. The family room and two bedrooms have ceiling fans and the sea breezes traverse the house through all the patio doors, some with retractable screens.
The west-facing LIVING ROOM fills with afternoon sunlight and the fragrance of roses and jasmine when you open the two sets of French doors onto the FRONT “Secret Garden” PATIO with two soothing water features. Living room has comfy furniture perfect for watching the 52 inch HD TV with DVD player, or listening to your tunes using our IPOD docking station, or reading a book from our library, or sitting at our English draw leaf table with four chairs perfect for playing a selection of board games available. The formal DINING ROOM is adjacent and can seat up to 10, with complete bar and serve ware for all your entertaining needs.
Prepare your snacks and meals in our fully-equipped KITCHEN with granite breakfast bar that seats four, while overlooking the family room and patio activities. The FAMILY ROOM with it’s wood/gas fireplace, opens to the back patio through two sets of French doors extending into more saltillo tiled living space and additional outdoor seating. Snip some roses and bring them indoors to enjoy while relaxing on the comfy leather furniture, perfect for watching TV and movies from our DVD library on the 42 inch HDTV (equipped with digital cable, a premium channel package and internet). There is also a printer to hook your laptop to and a coffee table that converts for card playing and foosball. You will enjoy a walk back in time playing at the retro game console containing 39 classic (1980s) games such as PACMAN. Enjoy your coffee or cocktail on the back patio, relax in our Jacuzzi, and grill your favorite meal on the brand new propane gas barbeque grill.
The roomy MASTER BEDROOM is complete with plush queen bed, a granite ensuite full bath with double vanity, gas fireplace, walk in closet and TV. The French door leads to private seating on the balcony and access to the rooftop deck where there is more seating and an expansive view of the San Diego Bay and City skyline and Coronado, and is perfect for private sunbathing or watching the almost nightly summer fireworks across the bay. The FRONT BEDROOM has a brand new trundle bed, a small leather sofa that converts to a double bed, TV with VCR, and opens onto the west facing front deck with seating to view the sunset every evening. The spacious and quiet “middle” BEDROOM has a queen bed with brand new mattress and with a full bath adjacent. The third full bath is at the base of the stairs.
The two car detached garage contains High Efficiency Front Loading Laundry appliances, with deep sink and hanging area for your beach clothes. And that is where you will find bicycles, picnic supplies and coolers, etc. We also provide beach towels and chairs and even a boat cart to carry everything for your walk to the San Diego Bay, Coronado’s world class beach or the many parks located throughout Coronado.
You may decide to walk to the Ferry Landing for dinner and drinks or hop on the Ferry for a ride over to San Diego Gaslamp District for shopping at Horton Plaza or a Padres ballgame. Or you may take a bike ride into the Village or along the Silver Strand, or plant yourself at the beach all day or take a sail. Or you may take the five minute drive “across” Coronado to enjoy a day of golf at Coronado’s municipal golf course or walk 4 blocks to play tennis. No matter where your day takes you, you will love “coming home” to relax with all the amenties. Weekly Housekeeping and Gardener provided.
