A stone's throw from beautiful Lido Beach near downtown Sarasota, we offer you a home in a cheerful yellow house. This listing is for a large one bedroom with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa in the living room. It has high speed internet, tv and phone, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom with many original (1960 ) features. There is cool terrazzo flooring throughout and mid-century style furniture and decor. There is a nice outdoor space with a BBQ grill and washer and dryer for guests use. We provide bikes, surf boards, flippers and snorkels, coolers, beach chairs and many other things for the beach. Gorgeous sunsets are also free!

About the owner: I am a travel photographer from the UK and Dale is a bespoke furniture maker. After meeting 4 years ago we recently tied the knot a week after buying this lovely house! We have a business together in town and love our lives here in Sarasota. We are a sociable and friendly couple who love to travel and meet people from all over the world. Mostly staying on site, Dale and I will be on hand to welcome you and look after your needs during your stay. We would be honored to share our space with you.
Why the Owner Chose Lido Key:
Dale has grown up coming to Lido Beach since he was 12, surfing, fishing, walking, watching sunsets and hanging with his friends. When the opportunity arose to buy this property and be able to live at the beach whilst running a business, it was like a gift! It is such a calm and special area, our street in particular retains that feel of 'time stood still' which we love. It is quieter than Siesta Key but yet is no secret. It is easy to get into town and what a gorgeous journey every day traveling over the Ringling Bridge.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Along with many other properties in our street, we were attracted by the style of the house - a simple bungalow typical of the 50s/60s. We love mid-century modern design and its clean lines seemed perfect to us - even the soft yellow of the exterior and palm tree out front excited me as a Brit ( palm trees are SO exotic! ). This adventure offered us a way to have a little 'boutique' guest house and a way to invite friendly strangers to our spot.
