First time to visit Colorado and we stay during Christmas. It was so beautiful looking out the windows at the mountains. The home was very nice and it had everything we needed. Sitting in the hot tub at night with all the snow was wonderful!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time. The house was great. The only thing that would make it better is if there was wi-fi.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: I would like all future guests to notice that we do NOT have wifi. We like to "get away from it all" and enjoy quality time with the family. Hope you do too!

My wife and I rented this cabin for a week of relaxation and fly fishing. The cabin was very relaxing and was stocked with anything we needed. The hot tub was a nice asset to a great week. We had a great time fly fishing the Rio Grande River with Ryan from South Fork Anglers. We would definitly stay here again. JeremyOwner response: I am always so pleased to get feedback on the house. Glad you enjoyed it! We use it for our family as well and hope everyone feels as welcome as we do!

Thanks so much for the wonderful home in South Fork. This town has become a staple for us over the years but we have now found our perfect place to stay while visiting the mountains. It was more than we expected...well appointed and very comfortable. Congratulations on a wonderful home. We look forward to staying again next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Had a great stay here, close to ski area and to South Fork. A much easier drive from Texas to South Fork than to Pagosa. The town is smaller than Pagosa and you need to stop in Alamosa to stock up on groceries, but well worth it. House had everything we could have needed to cook, relax and enjoy. The beds are very, very comfortable. I would say the one drawback is the water smell from the area minerals. Would recommend to others and stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We agree! The access to Wolf Creek ski area is better from the South Fork side. Sometimes when the area is getting the best powder the pass is closed from Pagosa to the ski area, but stays open from South Fork. Pleased that you enjoyed your visit!

This is truly home away from home. Very clean house, well equipped kitchen, beautiful baths with plenty of towels. There is a brand new and clean hot tub right outside of the bedroom… Plenty of games to play in the living room… We came over from Flower Mound, TX and spent our extended Thanksgiving weekend there. We got very lucky and were able to ski! That was our first visit in Colorado, and definitely not the last one. Hope to visit you sometime soon! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful house with us!Owner response: Glad you enjoyed your stay! Wolf Creek has been blessed with great snow this year! Makes it fun for everyone.

This beautiful home in South Fork was a wonderful location for our family vacation. We came into SF by way of Alamosa and The Great Sand Dunes National Park. If you are close by, do not miss seeing this. Our family enjoyed spending a half day here before arriving at the log home. Everything was just as described and very clean. The owners were very helpful with all questions and I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends. While there we were able to enjoy many activities such as the Silver Thread Scenic Byway through Creede and Lake City and the Beaver Reservoir right up the road from the home. This was our first time staying at a VRBO, but these owners helped provide us with a wonderful memory of Colorado.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: There are so many awesome activities to experience in the area. Glad you enjoyed quite a few of them!

We had a really good time staying in your cabin. This was our 2nd time to stay here. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We like to do our own cooking and the cabin had the dishes, utensils and cookware we needed. The grill was also used and appreciated. The grocery store in South Fork, had the all the things we needed to supplement what we brought. We didn't eat out much, but the Malt Shoppe has good hamburgers and ice cream! We brought our ATV's and there was plenty of room in the garage to put them at night. There are plenty of trails to access from the cabin and we also trailored the ATV's to nearby trails. It's a nice quiet neighborhood. The hot tub was also a nice ammenity. We received good service from the owners. They were very helpful with any questions we had. The description of the cabin and it's supplies and ammenities was accurate. We had everything we needed. We hope we can stay there again sometime.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: It is great having guests return for another vacation at the house! We hope you will be able to make it back again soon!

We had a great time on our vacation!! I have stayed in a lot of vacation homes/cabins over the years and this home was the most well furnished home we have stayed in. We didn't lack for anything and the home was especially clean and well maintained. The scenery around is wonderful. The cool summer breeze coming through the windows was very refreshing especially for Texans used to the heat. The hot tub was nice and was used every evening. For a small town in Colorado, South Fork had everything we needed in supplies to make our stay wonderful. We brought our ATV's and rode the mountains. It was beautiful!! We also white water rafted down the Arkansas river. A ton of fun!! I would truly recommend this home for your stay and the owners were very accomodating. Everything was as advertized!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We have enjoyed sharing our home with all the great guests this summer! We are pleased that folks love the home and area!

Our family THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stay in this home as we explored the South Fork area. The owners were very helpful and available for questions. The home was clean, well maintained, beautifully decorated, and located in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware needed. Because there was also a washer and dryer, we were able to pack fewer clothes for our week's stay. Rainbow Grocery is located a short drive away in South Fork and had everything we needed to supplement the food we brought. We cooked most of our meals during our stay and used the gas grill nearly every night. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. We had a great time exploring the area on our UTV. We were able to park our UTV in the garage at night. There were many ATV/UTVs in the neighborhood and all were being driven quietly and respectfully. We loved the easy access to the forestry roads from the house. (We were able to drive our UTV directly from the house to the forestry roads close by.) We drove to Summitville and many of the surrounding forestry roads and 4 wheel drive trails. There are many other trails worth exploring within just a short drive. We LOVED Wheeler Geographical Area! What an amazing site--difficult to get to but worth the view. We also went over Stoney Pass to some old mining sites and were WOWED by the Rio Grande Resevoir! We visited Creede one day where there are many touristy type shops located. We also went to North Clear Creek Falls that day. There are numberous fishing lakes close by and Rainbow Grocery was helpful in getting a fishing license, supplies, etc. We had done a lot of research on-line prior to our visit and there are many things to explore in this area. Maps of the forestry roads and 4-wheel drive trails available from the forestry service are very helpful, as well as topographical maps that can be ordered on-line. We loved getting in the hot tub each evening! This was a great home in a great location. We would definately recommend this home to others and hope to return again some day.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: We appreciate hearing such great feedback about your vacation! Thanks so much for sharing the wonderful information about the area. It makes me want to explore those mountains more! I am very glad that you loved the house and look forward to having you stay again.
