Why the Owner Chose Seaside at Anastasia
We bought our condo in St. Augustine because there seemed to be so much for all ages to do here. We have owned our home for 5 years and we still haven't done everything St. Augustine has to offer. We can definitely see ourselves growing old here. I don't think we will ever get tired of it.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We love the location of our condo. Because we are the northern most condo on Anastasia Island, we are only 4 miles from the Bridge of Lions. We feel close enough to just jump in the car and go down town for and hour or two. It doesn't feel like you have to make a "trip" downtown. And if we decide to stay at the beach, we are in the center of all the action, great restaurants we can walk to, free concerts, farmers market, beach volleyball tournaments, splash park, play ground...all at our finger tips.
Owner's Map of Seaside at Anastasia
Joe and I are from Ohio and have two young boys and a daughter in College at Ohio University. Our boys have now grown up going to St. Augustine and it has become our second home. We all have our favorite places to go, restaurants to eat at, and thing to do each time we go. We seem to spend our days at the beach, and our nights down town walking St. George Street and of course getting something to eat, always followed by ice cream or chocolate for dessert.

Making a choice for a vacation rental wasn't an easy decision for me. I wanted the perfect family vacation for Husband and two grown sons with their wife and girlfriend. It had been a long time since we spent quality time together. As soon as I walked in to the condo I knew it was perfect. On the left there is a queen bedroom with a large closet and bright colored block quilt that matched artwork. On the right is the twin (2 beds) bedroom with patch work quilts and seside decor. Everyone had their own space. Next is a large bathroom on the right complete with plenty of extra towels. Besides it is a spacious laundry room that was stocked with detergent, plus beach chairs and toys. Perfect for us since we packed light. On the left across from the bathroom is a well equipped kitchen. It had every utensil or dish that you can use to cook with. I even baked choc chip cookies. We ate breakfast and lunch in everyday then enjoyed dinner at local restaurants. Not a restaurant, but do NOT miss eating at Hyppo's popsicles, it's on Hypolito St in Old Town St Augustine. I wish I had a key lime one right now. They are NOT to be missed IMO. Are rated #1 restaurant on TripAdvisor's webpage! My family loved the living-dining room area. We gathered on the soft cozy denim covered couch and chairs to relax every evening. It was so easy to start snoozing while watching TV. Some of us watched tv or read or we worked puzzles. From the living room you can look out the wood blind covered patio door and window to the grounds and pool. It is a very short walk to the pool and club house, not even a minute. The pool water was always clean clear and very inviting. About a 3 minute walk from the patio you are on the beach. The beach was so nice, I can hear the waves right now. We spent hours there every day. This section of beach had a nearby lifeguard stand if you like the added safety of one. The beautiful master bedroom suite is across from the living room on the right. It is roomy and has a large walk in closet as well as large bathroom complete with a soaker tub and stand up shower. There are more bath and beach towels in here. To end my long review, I only have good things to say about this condo. Our family vacation was perfect and everyone loved the condo. The owners were great and quick to answer my questions. They were wonderful to work with. Thank you both so much. I'd also like to say that "I'm ready to return and stay here again"!

We just returned home from staying at this condo and the only problem we had with it was we wish we could have stayed longer!! My husband and I stayed here with our 3 teenaged daughters, 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter. The condo was bigger than it looks in the pictures and was big enough for all of us. The master bedroom was particularly nice and private with a walk in closet and a large ensuite. Everything we could possibly need was in the condo including sand toys and beach equipment like skim boards, chairs and umbrellas. We just walked in, unpacked and headed straight for the beach. The place was also extremely clean when we arrived and obviously very well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with any kitchen device you could think of. The town of St Augustine was very close by and offered a ton of stuff to do. We went of a ghost tour, shopped in the quaint shops, went on a cruise around St Augustine and visited Ripley's Beleive it or Not. We also climbed the famous Lighthouse. One afternoon my teenagers and I along with my son took surfing lessons. That was an experience I will never forget. We also spent lots of time swimming at the beautiful beach right across the road. We had a blast and there was more than enough stuff available to do that could have kept us busy for another couple of weeks! The owners were great to deal with and obviously take great pride in their property. I highly recommend this condo and hope to return again soon!!!

This property was one of the best places that we have ever stayed. It was beautiful, spacious, well stocked and clean. The owners were so polite, helpful and friendly. I would recommend this property to everyone! Also, St.Augustine has so many wonderful attractions that I would not beable to choose which one to write about. I have been coming to St.Augustine since I was 11 years old and love it here.

We will be staying in this condo for the third time in April. The first time we stayed we absolutely fell in love with St. Augustine and the condo. At the time we had 3 children (we have 4 now) and we just couldn't get enough so we booked it a second time. It is cozy, well maintained, beautifully decorated, and you can tell the owners take great pride in it. Of course there will always be some wear and tear since it is not brand new, but it is well cared for. It is an awesome location, with the pier across the street, great restaurants around and the spray park and beach just across the street. We had great times in the pool and we all can't wait to have Rita's icecream again. We are counting down the days until we get to stay here again and we would highly recommend this place to anyone. Joe and Michelle are so easy to deal with and I agree that the prior negative comment was just to get money back. We will stay there again and again as long as they will have us!

We absolutely loved this place!! I've never stayed in a condo before, but this was so great! The listing is perfectly accurate, and much more beautiful. I took my dad and 2 girls. The 3 bedrooms worked out perfectly. We ate breakfast in everyday, then alternated eating either lunch or dinner out. Everything is so very close, within walking distance. We enjoyed the mini golf one evening down the street, sweet treats ice cream, Hatties, and the t-shirt places too. (I would recommend eating at Clarks fish camp if you can, but you will need to drive for that.) The pool is RIGHT THERE! it is so nice! the ocean is about a 45 sec walk across A1A. They provided lots of beach toys, kites, frisbee, etc.. that was great since we forgot ours. Lots of towels, kitchen accessories, everything is in place. The condo is beautiful and comfortable. The Monsantos are so easy to work with. We are planning on making the trip to St Augustine a yearly trip to visit my sister who lives very near. We are not even going to look for another condo. We hope to be staying here again and again. Thanks so much for everything!!

The condo was nicely decorated and accurate with the photos, although carpets in the bedrooms had numerous stains. Several occasions bugs were found in the rooms and in kitchen drawers. The mattress pads on beds were soiled, and the master bath shower was inaccessible due to very little water pressure. There was also a large stained rolled up piece of carpet in the master bedroom closet. The pool was also inaccessible due to the water being stagnant and murky, and not being cleaned until the day we left. The owners were very responsive before we arrived, but when told of these details, I received no response. I would not recommend this rental, but would recommend a visit to beautiful St. Augustine.
Owner response:My husband and I take great pride in our condo. This renter's response was so hurtful to us, we booked flights and went down to "fix" everything. To our surprise when we got down there, we didn't find anything out of sorts. The water pressure in the shower was fine, the carpets had a stain here or there but nothing bad, although we went ahead and had them cleaned. There were no bugs to speak of, in fact I have never seen any bugs in our unit. The mattress pads were fine, but we went ahead and bought all new ones (two for each bed). Unfortunately, these renter's never called us when they were staying in the unit. If they had, we would have sent our handyman, house cleaner, plumber, ect. over to fix anything that needed the same day. When I asked them why they didn't call us, they said they complained about another rental one year and the landlords kept their deposit. So, because something had happend to them in the past, they didn't give us a chance to repond immediately. I think there comment also says something about them. Ironically enough, the party who stayed there after them wrote us a steller review and this was prior to us getting down there to check on things. Infact, they are booked for June this year for another week's stay. The renters who wrote this wanted their entire rent check back after they stayed there for a week and didn't let us know they had any probalems until they recieved their deosit check back a week and a half after their stay. They told us they were going to write a bad review if we didn't comply. Unfortunately, this is what they wrote. After my husband and I flew down there to see for oursleves, we realized the peole just wanted to stay there for free.

This condo is just as portrayed in the pictures and just as described in the listing - the condo is very well maintained and cleaned - we started to relax the minute we walked in. The condo is very spacious and roomy, we never felt cramped or closed in. Joe and Michelle were so easy to work with and I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone. Very short walk to beach and this condo is in an excellent location on St. Augustine Beach - very close to everything (the pier, Wednesday's farmer's market, restaurants, miniature golf, grocery stores, etc.). Renting a condo unseen can be a little scary, but no need to worry when renting this lovely home!

Had an amazing stay at the condo June 16 thru June 23, 2007. Location was great. Loved the easy walk to the pool. Kids greatly enjoyed watching the ducks from the patio. Walk to ocean was easy enough. Close to lots of attractions. Had the choice to do everything or nothing at all on any given day. Also found a fun par 3 golf course about 20 min up US 1 in Palm Valley. Condo decor makes you want to move in. Definitely agree that this could be an amazing place to retire. Had excellent dining experiences at Panama Hattie's & Gypsy Cab Co. Tons of fun places to eat in Old St Aug, too. Thanks for opening your lovely home to us. It was definitely a memorable vacation.
