    What a wonderfully furnished home with all the goodies and toys that you will need to enjoy your amazing time. But the hands down highlight for our family was the amazing view of the gorgeous Pacific Ocean and your own private staircase down to the beach. The owners are very helpful and were a joy to deal with. We will be back!

    All the pictures, descriptions and reviews are accurate of this little slice of paradise! It is definitely as big, family-friendly, easily-accessible, well-stocked and comfortable as everyone has said so far. We had 6 adults and 3 children who thoroughly enjoyed the view, the beach, the local eateries mentioned, the nearby parks and all the gear supplied. The train and the zoo are a breeze to navigate and visit as well. The owners are more than helpful, attentive and generous (the boards, bikes and wet-suits alone are worth it!) Thanks to them for sharing their beloved beach house with our family, we will be coming back!

    We were lucky to snatch this place up on short notice,we had a great trip and the views are everywhere in this house(even the master shower) Kitchen was well stocked, in fact everything was well stocked.The place looks just like the photos.Even spotted some whales one afternoon while we were on the private beach, Sweet. Pia was great with getting back to us on any questions we had. Great time had and we definitely would like to return.

    Hi - our family rented this house this August and we had the best time! The pictures and description of the house are very accurate. The house works very well for large families - we had 8 adults and 4 children and we were all comfortable - the owners are so nice, welcoming and easy to get a hold of for any questions you have before renting and while you are there. I would definetly recommend this place to a friend and we hope to rent this house again next year! The view is just amazing, the steps are alot but once you get down there it is like having your own private beach. The house comes with everything you need for the beach too - even bikes. The waves were perfect for my 8 and 10 year old to boogie board all day. Can't wait to be there next year.

    We had our yearly family reunion here and had a fantastic time. The ocean view is absolutely stunning! And to be able to walk down the stairs to your own basically private beach was such a treat. We surfed twice a day, took walks on the beach, rode bikes, played games and read. We loved the spot so much, we pretty much stayed at the house. One night the adult children went to the gaslamp district in San Diego and had a great time. Otherwise, we simply enjoyed spending time together in a beautiful location. Highly recommended!!

    My family returned for our second summer vacation in this beautiful home. We loved it so much the first time, we had to come back for a second year. Our group has teen boys and some singles, so we found the twin beds a big plus. The boogie boards and surf boards that were available were also a big draw. The home is spacious. There is ample room at the dining table for all of us to sit together for dinner or games. The kitchen is well stocked and everything we needed was supplied. I especially enjoyed drinking my coffee in the morning on the patio overlooking the ocean. We saw dolphins swimming by on several days. Breathtaking! I would definitely recommend this home to any large group looking for a place on the beach. An extra plus is the helpfulness of the the owners. Their desire for you to enjoy your stay is evident. We hope to return for our third summer!

    My family stayed with another family at this house for a week at the end of June 2012. The best part about the house is the amazing location as it is has direct beach access (with surfing right out front) and it's close to downtown/restaurants, etc. There was plenty of space, great/cute bedrooms (especially the upstairs master suite), and lots of amenities. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful! All in all, it was a fabulous house and vacation.

    We had three women and 7 kids and all went well. We felt very safe and the location was great. The view from the masterbedroom was heaven it's self. We especially enjoyed having our breakfast out on the porch facing the ocean. Will definetly go back next year.

    I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience at this home. We visited from Los Angeles with a group of 3 families with young children April, 2012. It was a 4 night/5 day stay and we all wished we had more time there.... We've all stayed in vacation homes that can hold large groups before, and this one is truly the best! The space is perfectly designed to chill-out and enjoy an ocean-side vacation. The entire downstairs family-room/dining room/kitchen space is connected and looks out over the ocean from floor-to-ceiling windows. The master bedroom has the same amazing view, and was big enough to sleep a family of four (baby in pack-and-play and 4 year old on couch). It has a sitting area with small bar, a separate bathroom with sitting area, and 2 decks. There are 4 other nice rooms, 3 with two twin beds (couples just pushed them together) and 1 with double. All have connected bathrooms except one. The stairs down to the beach have several "landings": one has lounge chairs from sun-bathing, one has a small firepit surrounded by chairs, and one is a giant sandbox, perfect for times of high-tide! The beach below is full of treasures for the kids (shells, neat rocks, etc...). About 20 yards down the beach is a beautiful, quiet sandy beach where you can set-up for a day of sunning and sand-castle making! The kitchen is well-appointed for making great meals for large or small groups. There wasn't a single pot/pan/utensil we couldn't find there! The owners were sweet, communicative, and available, answering all questions quickly and clearly before and during the vacation. Truly the ideal vacation-home owners... From a surfer's point of view, the home was perfectly situated in front of the break at Beacons. There was a great array of surfboards and wetsuits ready to use. There were also boogie boards and sand toys. We're going back next year with the same group and can't wait!!!

    What a fantastic place to stay! The view is spectacular and the house is a perfect place for a family gathering. Our family from the East Coast descended on the house and everyone was in awe. We were a group of 12, everyone had their own space. The master suite is almost a house unto itself it is so large.There was so much to do. We enjoyed the beach and all the amenities that went with it. We had use of the surf boards and wet suits which the guys enjoyed every day, sometimes twice a day.The small children enjoyed collecting pebbles on the beach. The decks and patio were a great place to gather and enjoy the breathtaking sight and sounds. The owners were very accommodating and were readily accessible to answer any questions and to offer assistance as needed. I would definitely recommend the house. We are all anxious to return.

    Our family of 10 stayed at the property in March. It was a great house for an extended family vacation! Plenty of room for all of us and very kid-friendly. Everything that we needed was already there and we felt very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the dolphins every morning and the kids loved going down the their "own" beach. Even though there were a lot of steps, they never complained because they were so excited to go down to the beach. The warm outside shower was perfect when they came up. If we vacation in the San Diego area again, we would definitely stay at this property again. The owners were friendly and easy to work with. We had a great family vacation!

    We took our adult kids, spouses, and one year old grandson here for a week at Christmas. We could not believe that the house was perched above the perfect surf break overlooking miles of beautiful beach with private stairs! We never left the house because it was all right there! Daily surfing, whales and dolphins non-stop, running and walking on the beach...why leave? We even used the cruiser bikes to explore the neighborhood. We had beautiful sunsets, dinners on the patio, morning coffee outside on the deck. There was something for everyone. The owners were very accommodating and let us use their surf boards and other gear. We had arranged for a caterer to deliver food for our holiday meals, and the owner met the caterer early in the morning the day of our arrival to let the caterer in (this was Christmas Eve!). She even called me to reassure me that the food looked good and was delivered on time! Because our flight would arrive late in the evening, she had also bought basic groceries for us so that we could just settle in that first night. Exceptional! She even added some Christmas decorations. I have never been thanked so many times by our kids for finding this perfect spot. Of course, they want to go back....and so do we. Watching the ocean, enjoying the beach and surf, and having all that room to spread out... made this vacation one to remember. Maybe next time we will take advantage of the attractions close by (Sea World, Zoo, etc.), but it was tough to leave the beach! We did hike along the bluff at Torre Pines one day, but the rest of the time we just loved being right where we were.

    Our family stayed in this beach home over Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time. The kids loved playing on the beach, dolphin watching and the many surfers.The location is central to Disneyland and to the south SeaWorld. The owners are terrific and easy to work with. This home will be spectacular when updates are completed.

    We gathered family from three different states for a week in California. The gang included young kids, pre-teens, and adults. Everybody wants to come back to this spot. The rooms were exactly as described. The beach access was WONDERFUL! The owners were so generous with time spent on the phone and email in advance of our arrival to help us plan sleeping arrangements, activities, restaurant suggestions. Although they were out-of-town when we arrived, they arranged to have a friend meet us and give us a tour of the property and show us where we could find things that we might need during our stay. We felt immediately at home - and that comment was repeated numerous times as each family-member arrived. We found other listings that appeared, on paper, to better meet our criteria. However, after making phone calls to each, this was the one with the right vibe. Thank goodness we listened to our hearts rather than just following a list looking for x number of bedrooms, y number of baths - this is not just a house, but a home! Proximity to sight-seeing destinations, great food delivery options, and nearby groceries made this a relaxing and memorable vacation for all (even the moms among us). And, in case you can't tell from the review, we would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

    We spent 3 relaxing days at this amazing beach house to celebrate my husband's birthday- it was everything we had hoped for and more! After searching high and low for a home with beach access within our budget, I stumbled upon this gem in Leucadia. The owners were very quick to respond to my emails and were extremely accommodating when we realized that we had mixed up our planned dates for our vacation. When we arrived at the home, we were warmly welcomed and given a very thorough tour of the property. The pictures really can't convey the lovely, relaxed atmosphere that the house exudes. We had a few people over to celebrate over the weekend, and everyone was in awe of the amazing views, the fantastic outdoor areas, and the HUGE, luxurious master suite. Everything about this home was exactly what we were looking for, and really helped provide the perfect location to celebrate my husband's birthday!

    "This home was such a special place. It will be a vacation we remembered forever. It might vene be our best family vacation ever. There was something for everyone to enjoy, old and young!!     This Neptune house is in such a great location! There is good food, shopping and transportation to downtown right down the hill on Pacific Coast Highway. The view from all parts of this house are amazing and totally hypnotic! The master suite upstairs is my favorite space. We had a fabulous time at the beach all day and then went into the little, funky beach town of Leucadia for dinner. The house is certainly located well for walking, bike riding and running as well. Of course, if you are a surfer, then it's great for that as well. I have stayed at this house more than once and think it is a good value for the money. Even with 8 to 10 ladies in the house, it never felt cramped. The owners are super accommodating, work to make you comfortable and the property is beachtastic! I recommend it!

    This beach house has everything you need to enjoy a family vacation! We had our family meals on the patio as we grilled, watched the dolphins swim by and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. The private beach is the best spot for a morning cup of coffee. There is so much to do - surf, walks on the beach, private bocce ball court, and the sunsets are Amazing!! We can't wait to come back!

    I love this beach house--it doesn;t get any better than sitting on the deck watching the sunset, overlooking the surfers and sea. It's perched above a gorgeous beach with great surf. You can take long walks, enjoy bbqs in the ocean breeze, and spot dolphins and whales from above. It's truly a paradise and walking distance to some of Leucadia's fun eateries like Papaygayo for mojitos.The house is rustic chic and the master bedroom is spectacular with endless ocean views. There's also fun play area for kids. This is real deal SoCal beach living. We have had incredible times there and look forward to returning!

    From the moment we walked into this wonderful house, I knew I had picked the right place. My family absolutely loved this beach house. We had a really fun, relaxing time and even saw dolphins playing in the water. The kids played on the beach and we took long walks in the sand. Watching the sunsets from the deck was nothing short of magical! If you love the beach, imagine going to sleep with the doors open to the ocean and waking up listening to the waves. TOTALLY WONDERFUL! The house was perfect for our family and we all had a great time. We WILL be back! :-)

    The minute we arrived at this home, the views really did take our breath away! Everything about the home is absolutely gorgeous and it is obvious that the owners thought of every last detail when preparing to welcome their guests. The great room is wonderful — our favorite spot was the window seat nook overlooking the ocean, but there were so many spots in the home we loved, it is hard to pick the best. We were surrounded with beauty - from the house itself, to the spectacular ocean views (even from the shower in the enormous master bedroom). You are literally steps to the beach. The owners were very friendly and helped answer all our questions about things-to-do in the area. Every chance we have to go to San Diego, we continue to go back to this incredible home. We are already dreaming of our next visit...

    From the moment my family and I stepped in we marvelled at the view! The entire home is spacious, beautifully furnished, welcoming, family and pet friendly! The listing description was very accurate. The property is very well maintained, its obvious the owners take proper care and do everything possible to make your stay a wonderful one. Had a wonderful time and will consider staying there again!

    I love this home. I didn't want to leave. It has it's own access to the beach, and the rooms are perfect for multiple guests and the master suite is a dream in itself. I would highly recommend this as a vacation getaway to anyone who is looking for a warm feeling, beach going, relaxing atmosphere. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. There is plenty of places to eat in walking distance, if you want to enjoy the nice fresh air, or just BBQ on the patio and enjoy the amazing view and the sound of the ocean in your backyard. I can go on and on, but it truly is a sight you would have to see and live for yourself. My family and I plan on coming back, but this time we are bringing some friends. ENJOY!!

    We had the most wonderfully, relaxing beach vacation here. It's perfect for a couple families....or a super romantic getaway. It was so lovely to be right on the beach and yet so close to restaurants (we walked to dinner one night), shops, legoland. We felt secluded, but at the same time had easy access to all that we wanted to do. It was so easy to relax in this comfortable, casual home. I would highly recommend it.
