Contrary to the first review, we found this home to be amazing! All of the kitchen utensils were great, they provided us with everything we needed to have a great trip! The beds were comfortable, the linens were all of good quality. There was plenty of seating on each of the three deprecate decks. The views truly are amazing any time of day. Its a very peaceful location, not a lot of boat or auto traffic. The jacuzzi is huge. We rented a boat from Lakeshore Rentals and recieved a great price. Thank you We will see you next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, adventure seekers.

I really do not understand the previous review. We had an awesome family reunion. Wonderful coffee on the top deck. Very nice large dining table so we all could sit and eat or whatever. Saw no dog hair, slept like babies and was able too cook several wonderful meals with no problem. We had numerous interchanges with the delightful owners, taking pictures of all & bragging like mad, will absolutely return!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This place is very old and is in need of remodeling. Everything is available to use, however everything is old and starting to break down. Even during our stay, the water had shut down and the owner ( who stays in the guest house) had to repair it. We were luckily playing on the dock during that time. In the kitchen, All their appliances are old, and their utensils seem like they were bought from Goodwill. We used our own utensils. Bring your own cooking tools (knives, pots/pans,cutting board, spatula) All their kitchen tools are very old. The knives are dull, the pots and pans will burn all your food. Who knows what bacteria is living on their cutting boards. When we first arrived, there was dog hair everywhere. I would bring you own sheets. I did not feel comfortable sleeping on their old cushiony mattresses. Everything is old. The screen doors don't have screens on them, so on a hot day, expect lots of flies/mosquitoes to invade the home. The A/C works, but it was hard to figure out how to turn it on. The owners did respond to all our questions. We were not happy vacationeers. The only nice thing was the lake and the view. The owners probably knew we weren't happy with the condition of the home, and they did not give us our security deposit back. They said that they found gum on the floor. However we were all mature adult professionals and never were we chewing gum during our stay. We were too busy playing outside on the Lake. It was either from a past vacation renter with kids. DO not use their retractable awning on their outside patio. IT is so old and rusted that it bound to tear and not retract back properly. There are multiple rips and tears in the awning that they owners covered with duck tape. We did make one foot long tear (that we take responsibility for) but the awning is so old and rusted it was bound to tear when rolling it back up, They need to replace a lot of things in their house. Its an old vacation home. They need to replace their old soft mattresses, replace their smelly old carpet, replace their kitchen appliances( especially their pots/pans, and knives) Fix their screen doors, replace their old green uncomfortable leather couch, and replace the old awning. Stay if you wish, but you can find a much nicer place for the price we paid. We should have just stayed at the hotel in town. We wont be back next year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.
Owner response: We are so sorry to hear that someones expectations were not met. We do our very best to present our property with complete openess and honesty. We have had hundreds of guests stay and received wonderful Thank Yous for our home and all that it offers. As it says in our Bio, we are continually striving to create an ever lovelier place. We wish to thank everyone who has stayed with us, and hope you come back again and again. Thank you Gail and David

Had a nice relaxing vacation here on Lake Chelan, the weather was perfect and were able to eat our meals out on the deck. Went into Chelan and rented jet ski's at Jet Skis Ahoy and had a fabulous time. The owners are very easy to work with and were very prompt with information of questions or concerns.Recommended for: Pet owners.

About the owner: David has loved Lake Chelan since he was a young boy, visiting his Aunt an Uncle's cabin up on the Little Butte. He is a builder and bought the Lake house in 2007 with the hope of building the property into an even more grand and lovely place, and at the same time enjoying it while living there. He continues to work his magic and is always making some part of the property more beautiful. In 2008 Gail came along and ever since we have been going back and forth from Redmond Wa. where we married in Aug. of 2010. Every season has it's loveliness and we are there as much as possible. We love to take our boat out in the summer months for excursions to town or Wapato or Manson and especially for a cocktail cruise just before sunset. We enjoy walking our dog Sasha up to Fields Point Landing and always meet other dog walkers along the way. We hope that like us you enjoy all that Lake Chelan has to offer and you want to keep comming back too. Thank you David and Gail Wailes
Why the Owner Chose Chelan:
David felt it was a wonderful opportunity.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The lake can look like glass anytime of the day as there is just less traffic here. It is quiet, peaceful and so lovely.
