We spent three nights at this wonderful Yarmouth home during April vacation. There was plenty of space for seven of us, plus a large dog! The house was spotless and stocked with everything that we needed. The rooms and beds are very comfortable, and there are many windows to enjoy the ocean views. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the mornings enjoying the ocean air and also sitting in the landscaped garden. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood ( in April anyway!) with a wonderful beach just a very short walk from the house. Many area attractions are close by, and there is plenty to do. The owner, Carmen was friendly and very helpful, she met us when we arrived and showed us where everything was located. We wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again or to recommend it to family and friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

I have been staying at the Cape Place for the past several years in the Fall. It was always important for me to have a place for my dog, Stewart, and I to vacation and this has been the perfect place! Just a short walk to the beach and off lots of side roads, getting Stewie the exercise he needs so I can have fun later on has been a breeze! Stewart is also an avid Kayaker and my boyfriend and I take him to a little known spot called Egg Island. Even though some beaches in the summer are off limits for dogs, this sandbar which is about a 30 min paddle into Lewis Bay is Doggy HEAVEN. All of the cool boating dogs go there and can swim and play to their hearts content. The house also has lots of room and so I can have my sisters families come for a night or two with no one getting in anyone's way. Having 2 bathrooms and an outdoor shower is great with little kids. I just can't say enough about how the owners have done to make my annual stays great! The house is always clean and neat when I arrive and the accommodations and views from all the rooms make my vacation very relaxing. We don't really even use the car all that much since you can bike to many of the sights in Hyannis and along the water. Do give them a call! You and your family... including 4 legged friends will be glad you did!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

About the owner: The Cape Place is a perfect home for us to entertain friends and family. The spacious house allows us to accomodate everyone with tripping over each other. Since the house is at the end of a dead-end, off of a dead-end, I never have to worry about my neices or nephews walking back and forth to the beach safely.
Why the Owner Chose West Yarmouth:
The simple pleasures of watching the sun set over Mill Creek to the west, fishing for stripers on one of the local charter boats, and relaxing in the sunshine in the ever present ocean breezes appeal to us.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
In the summer time, there is an Osprey who nests in the marshes of Colonial Acres beach. If you listen and watch, you will see her dive for fish behind the house in Mill Creek. It is amazing to see her fly back to her nest with a fish in her talons to feed her young.
Another thing I enjoy is taking my dog for a walk around the cranberry bog at the top of the street. I experience nature's wonders at the Cape that I don't see othewise; turtles and fish in the holding ponds; swans and shore birds that I don't find inland.
