Less than a block to literally everything Mission Beach has to offer, this home could not be more centrally located! When you get finished spending the day at the beach or bay, you can walk a half block to some of the best restaurants, bars, and shopping in Mission Beach.

The Surfcomber is incredibly located in the heart of Mission Beach, just steps to the relaxing bay and a block to the beach!
This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit is located on the bottom floor of the duplex. Wi-Fi included. Ample free parking available nearby, or you can have one dedicated, reserved parking spot on location for an extra fee of only $15 per night or $200 a month. The spot will fit a sedan-sized car, but SUVs will be too large.
The two bedrooms are equipped with brand new, top of the line mattresses, cozy down comforters and high thread count linens. The bathroom includes soft towels and luxury soaps and shampoos. The kitchen has a gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, oven, and coffee maker. There are plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, too. Every room has a large flat screen Sony Bravia TV with Roku internet TV player (free Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc.).
The large patio in front of the unit comes with comfy lounge chairs, a dining table, partial bay views and a propane BBQ. The coin laundry room has complimentary detergent. This Mission Beach property is ideally located so you're close to restaurants, bars and activities, yet tucked away far enough so you don't hear the noise.
You will be a three minute walk to the beach/ocean, where you can relax in the sand, surf, or just enjoy the gorgeous sunset every night on the boardwalk. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops along the boardwalk. Along the short walk to the beach you'll run into Belmont Park, the beachfront amusement center, which has the famous Giant Dipper Roller Coaster.
For a more serene experience, you are three houses from the tranquil bay front. Take a stroll while watching the sail boats go by or try something new, like a stand up paddle board lesson. There is a rental company right around the corner which also offers scuba diving lessons, too.
You can also walk on over to the Bahia Resort and hop on the Bahia Belle, one of the oldest paddle wheeler boats on Mission Bay, and ride it to The Catamaran for dinner. Kids LOVE riding the Bahia Belle. The boat runs on Fri & Sat starting at 6:30pm and goes until midnight.
The Surfcomber is also a short drive to Sea World (6 min), the famous San Diego Zoo or Balboa Park (10 min) which has 17 museums, beautiful gardens, and performing arts venues. You're also not far from the airport or downtown Gaslamp area (10-15 minutes).

As our first stop on the California trip, this apartment is simply amazing. Perfect location, one block away from mission bay, and go two blocks to the other direction -- stunning beach perfect for a morning run. Lovely neighborhood. Too bad we didn't have time to enjoy the sunshine in the patio. The apartment itself is beautiful. Nice space, great two bedrooms, a good size kitchen. Great TV programs to kill the night. We experienced a small power lost, but Ryan was fast in response and fixed the problem shortly. All in all, a great place for vacation in San Diego. I highly recommend anyone who wants to have a relaxed and chill time in the sunshine.Owner response: Thanks so much for staying with us. We had a great time during our stay over the holidays. It was comfortable and had everything you might need in the way of kitchen utensils and bathroom supplies. The place was easy to get to and there were many places of interest and to eat within easy walking distance. This was the first time I've used a vacation rental and after having a wonderful experience, I would definitely do it again. Ryan's a responsive and friendly host. From the first time I contacted him, he's replied within a few hours with helpful information. Even when he had already sent me information and I asked again, he maintained a helpful and friendly attitude. The property was great and very convenient. The house was well stocked with all the basics you need, from loads of towels and extra toilet paper, to trash and sandwich bags. The living areas of the house comfortably seated all of us and we enjoyed having good internet access and television offerings. All in all, my family and I had a great time in San Diego and would highly recommend Ryan's Mission Beach property. From the outside I thought this home looked like a run of the mill beach home. It was set back from the main road, on a narrow, quaint walking path between other homes, but when we stepped through the door, I knew I had made the right choice. The best part was being steps from the sand on the bay. There was a great walking path that took you all the way around the bay. My husband I had some of the most relaxing and romantic sunset walks and people were friendly. We had cocktails at the Catamaran hotel. The tables were right in the sand and the prices were moderate. The Pacific Ocean was a short walk to the west, but the views were just as breathtaking. I took a 6 mile walk from Pier to jetty in South Mission and we had fish tacos at a restaurant called World Famous. They were delicious. The management company had a gift basket waiting for us, which I thought was a nice touch. Honestly, we were a bit skeptical when booking a vacation home, as you here so much about scams, but this company took care of us from our first inquiry to our checkout. If you are looking for the true beach vacation experience, you can't go wrong with this home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
