Stunning oceanfront views and cooling sea breezes make this two-bedroom house the perfect place to escape the world and forget your troubles. The Pink House is part of the five-unit Windswept Villas complex built in 2009 and is located on the southern tip of charming and exclusive Water Island, a mere 10-minute ferry ride from Crown Bay Marina. Our unit is a stand-alone building, so you'll have privacy as well as breathtaking views in all directions. From the kitchen you'll look over Flamingo Bay; from the living room and bedroom, you'll see the outer reaches of St. Thomas harbor, Buck's Island, and open ocean. Both bedrooms have balconies, and the living room has an oceanfront lanai. On the leeward side of the building is a small patio with deck chairs and an outdoor grill. The 30x12 foot swimming pool is shared with the other four Windswept units.
Reachable only by ferry from Crown Bay Marina (a 10-minute cab ride from the St. Thomas airport), Water Island is an intimate, safe, and friendly place where you'll be greeted with smiles by the residents. From The Pink House, a five-minute golf cart ride will take you to Honeymoon Beach, one of the most beautiful (and calmest) beaches in the USVI! Dine at Heidi's beach grill for lunch, or enjoy her famous Saturday-night steak dinners at the seaside. Monday is movie night at Honeymoon Beach, where you can join the locals as they dine on hamburgers and popcorn while watching films on a sheet strung between palm trees.
Grocery shopping is a short ferry ride away at either the Crown Bay Marina store, or at the larger Pueblo grocery store, a five-minute walk from the marina. A few provisions are available on-island at Pirate's Ridge deli.
For sight-seeing, climb aboard Captain Joe's boat for reef snorkeling with sea turtles off Buck's Island. Hike or bike Water Island. Take the ferry into St. Thomas for lunch and souvenirs. Or just stretch out on the sand at Honeymoon Beach and enjoy paradise.
The Pink House has all the modern amenities you could want, but even better, it offers privacy and serenity. It's a place to read, write, dream ... or just breathe deeply.

About the owner: Property is owned by a retired physician from Maine, but the rental is professionally managed by Mark and Vicki Stutts of Sandcastle Management on Water Island. Mark and Vicki will meet you at the ferry landing, and are on-site if you have any issues.
Why the Owner Chose USVI - Water Island:
Owner joined with four other Maine couples to build the 5-unit Windswept Villas complex in 2009. He loves coming here to get away from Maine winters for a while! Although the big city of Charlotte Amalie is right across the harbor, Water Island itself is quiet and peaceful.
