We have stayed at the R House in Philipsburg for four straight years and have found the accommodations perfect for our tastes. The house is located just three blocks from downtown, walking distance for most purposes. The owners live nearby and are available to answer your questions or respond to your needs very quickly. We look forward to many years of returning to the R House during our visits to Montana and highly recommend it for families or multiple couples visiting the area.

Comfort, Beautiful View and Wonderful Owners!!!

My 79 year old mother and myself stayed at the R-House Inn recently. We had driven from Seattle to Phillipsburg non-stop leaving Seattle at 3:30 AM. We were exhausted!!! We were delighted to find the R House Inn was available for the night. We slept so soundly on very comfortable matresses and woke up to the stunning view of Phillipsburg and the Pintler Mountains. Well, we decided to stay another night. I'm so glad we did, the next day we took in the sights of the beautiful " painted town" of Phillipsburg. I fell in love with the little town, so much so, that I'd like to live there. I'm taking my husband next time. I only wish we'd had more time to visit the mines and the ghost towns that are near by. Georgetown Lake is awesome just a few short miles from Phillipsburg. The home was perfect for my energetic 79 year old mother as it has a ramp instead of stairs leading to the large screened in front porch. From the porch we passed through french doors that led to the living room. Once inside, the home it is spacious and bright. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking for a large crowd or just for two. The bathroom is completely remodeled and very clean; as was the entire home. I was impressed with the attention to detail in the way the owners had prepared for their guests. There were sweet rolls in the fridge for morning coffee and a bowl of snacks in a bowl on the counter. Lot's of movies to watch if you have time for TV; we did not, as we were up and out to take in the brisk morning air and off for our adventure in and around town. I've saved the best for last: the owners of this property are awesome. A delightful couple, warm and inviting. We really felt like family while there and feel we've made new friends. I will certainly stay there again and I am looking forward to bringing friends and family with me each time I return.

Home away from Home!

We have stayed at R House Inn now three years in a row and plan to return over and over. The photos and written description are accurate! The house is very clean and has all the basic amenities necessary for a family. The wonderful owners treat their guests well! R House Inn is perfectly located for all your downtown fun (including a museum, fun little shops of all sorts, plays, and now even mining for minerals). A family is also able to drive to adventures which may include: visiting ghost towns, mining for minerals, and fishing. If you like to park and hike there are plenty of old roads behind the house to just take off for a walking tour of old mining claims. Because of the delightful owners and the "home feeling" of this property we return year after year. We look forward to our annual trips to R House Inn and Philipsburg!
