    My boyfriend and I stayed in the water suite and it was just absolutely relaxing. The views were breath taking and we definitely enjoyed the little details throughout Ivan and Stephen put in to make our stay the best it could be. It was such a lovely cozy set up and I thoroughly enjoyed the waterfall shower and private access to the hot tub. We also enjoyed the dock and canoeing. It feels like you're own private island as it is so secluded from the outside world. I definitely enjoyed my stay and was so sad to be leaving. I'm already feeling "home sick" and my boyfriend and I plan on returning again next year to make it our little mini yearly getaway. Thank you so much for giving us such a grey experience!

    We had a truly amazing stay at the Secret Cove water suite. The location is amazing - nestled on a cliff-top between the trees, with a breathtaking view down to the water below, and pristine forest all around. The suite (and indeed the entire cottage) is beautifully designed. We had a great time canoeing around the inlet, relaxing in the hot-tub, and hiking in Smugglers' Cove.     Ivan & Stephen are excellent hosts, and we are sure that we will be back to enjoy another great weekend. The location is perfect for guests coming from Vancouver, and the property is amazing, easy to find, amenities luxurious yet Rustic. BEST BED EVER!!! We stayed in the Water Suite (home to the most relaxing rain shower). Don't forget to bring your swim suit for the hottub. The kitchen was well equipped, your very own webber bbq on the deck, and very close to the historic half moon bay general store (if you have forgotten anything or want to rent a DVD). The hosts are very knowledgeable on the area. Thank you very much for a relaxing weekend. See you both soon.

    I stood out on the deck and heard nothing but a calm wind, birds chirping and roaring waterfalls in the distance. I knew right away that it would be hard to go back to the city. Its been a week since Ivan and Stephen invited us to their beautiful tree house and Im already missing it. All I think about is going back. We purchased groceries in Sechelt and cooked up a storm in the cottage. On the second day we did a very easy trail to the waterfall. Well worth it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. We will definitely be back in the near future.

    My boyfriend and I stayed at Secret Cove Tree House during Easter long weekend for 2 nights. We had the water suite room which is a beautiful room. I loved everything about the room, the bed, furnishings, accent furniture.. etc. The shower is amazing and the outdoor kitchen is very unique. It had everything we needed.. bbq, burner, mini-fridge, table, chairs, cutlery. It is very well set-up. The hot tub which was steps away from our suite although shared was still very private. There is a canoe for guests to use at the dock and is first come- first serve. I recommend going in the morning during high tide. We went in the afternoon and we were aware that it would be low tide at the time. My bf and I had quite the adventure on the way back having to walk on foot through the muddy waters and carrying the canoe during the last stretch. We did dig up some clams. We had a good laugh afterwards about the ordeal. Overall, our stay was exactly what we needed. Secret Cove Tree house is very secluded, and a great short romantic get-away for us Vancouver city folks. Ivan and Stephen have done a great job on the place and sure it will just continue to keep getting better. Kate and Dan

    We booked into the Forest king suite for a short getaway on the Easter weekend and we were immediately blown away by this amazing property perched atop Secret Cove. Our room was beyond clean; it was spotless and so stylishly decorated. The owners clearly care about their guests and their entire experience on their property. If not for the breathtaking view beyond the balcony and birds chirping outside, I felt like I was staying in the hottest NY boutique hotel. Our room looked exactly like it did in the photos. An amazing rain shower, lush robes and towels, high-end toiletries and one of the most comfortable beds I've had the pleasure of lying-in in a while. Even the coffee was great (freshly ground grinds), and the outdoor kitchen on the patio was just what we needed to prepare ourselves some small meals and snacks. During our stay, we did a short hike up to Smugglers Cove, had brunch at Rockwater and went down to discover Sechelt. On the way back to Vancouver, we stopped by Sharkey's at Robert's Creek for some fish and chips. The coconut prawns are amazing and they have a great selection of frozen fish and frozen prepared foods. We also stopped off at Shirley Macey Park in Gibsons to meet up with some friends with kids. A great playground for pre-schoolers and school age kids. Although Secret Cove may look like a bit of a drive from Sechelt or Gibsons, it is an easy country highway to drive up. Well worth the drive to book into this very special secret resort. It was a real treat staying here and the hosts were just amazing! So gracious and welcoming. I would recommend any of my friends to stay at the Secret Cove Treehouse. In fact, I already have. Thanks Ivan and Stephen!

    We had a lovely little getaway here. Our suite (the water suite) was beautifully designed with many tasteful touches including a coffee maker, hot water for tea, lovely teas, organic chocolate, nice toiletries, robes and so on. The interior decor was perfect and inspired. The hot tub was a few steps away from our room and very romantic. The only draw back (and we didn't really mind) was that March is a little cool to be cooking outside (the kitchenette is on the beautiful little deck outside our room) but we just bundled up and drank more wine. Ivan and Stephen were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We would certainly return

    We stayed in the cottage for 2 nights with my partner and our dog for my birthday. We love everything about this quaint secret cottage in the woods. From the ultra-modern yet warm and cozy fixings indoors to the lavish outdoor shower and that luxurious private jacuzzi. Even if it was raining during our stay, we took Ivan's advice to take a short canoe trip and to try the outdoor shower. It was splendid and definitely made my birthday getaway more special. Highly recommended and would love to stay again.

    I stayed here with a friend and it was exactly what we both needed...a quiet, relaxing getaway. We were fortunate to be able to try out both the Treehouse (for the first 2 nights) and the Water Suite the last night. They were both fantastic in their own way! The Treehouse was like having your own little clean and private cabin, views of treetops and fully equipped kitchen, washer dryer, movies and board games (which we took advantage of on rainy days). The hot tub was a perfect way to warm up and the outdoor shower (which Ivan turned on for our February stay) was perfect...rain, birds singing, and a wonderful view of trees and water down below. We moved over to the Water Suite for the last night and wondered if we would like it as much as the cozy Treehouse. It ended up being a fabulous way to end our stay there. Staying in the suite was like gourmet camping. Ivan and Steven have everything there for you to do outdoor cooking, prepping, and the cozy bright suite with its heated concrete floors, comfortable bed, big rain shower made for a very comfortable stay. We had much rain but that had no effect on our stay. We ate out at the Rockwater Secret Cove restaurant for a meal out, hiked at nearby trails with stunning views and came back for more relaxing. The guys have a quiet serene retreat and have made all so comfortable. Ivan was there to make sure we had everything we needed and is a wonderful host! The hospitality, the stay the comfort, the amenities and the beauty of the property makes me want to go back. We will stay here again no doubt.

    Three friends and myself rented The Cottage in mid February and we all agreed it had exceeded our expectations. We considered going to Whistler or Harrison Hot Springs but they were definitely more pricey. If you are looking for a good family vacation, romantic getaway or a relaxed girls weekend I highly recommend the Secret Cove Tree House. The owners, Stephan and Ivan, were both friendly and accommodating to our needs. The Cottage fit four girls comfortably for the weekend. It felt like a cozy second home. Our favorite activities included the outdoor hot tub and shower and two of my friends also used the Kayak provided and they loved it! We have re-booked for August and it will definitely be fun to check it out in the summer!

    Listing was bang on, rooms are cozy and clean throughout the treehouse cabin. Ivan was a great host and has provided his guests with a fantastic place to get away to, summer or winter. Great place to stay to first visit the sunshine coast, especially in the wintertime. The wood burning stove and room layout made for an extremely comfortable place to stay cozy while playing great dorky board games and visiting with loves ones while the rain and cold stays outside. With the treetop views and easy escape to lovely seaside venues we were never without something great to look at. I would certainly recommend this property for anyone to stay at, and can say with confidence that you will be amazed at how nice it is. Tip: don't drive in too late at night if you don't know the area! Ivan saved us by coming out to gather us when we had driven too far, but its very dark out there.

    My friends and I stayed here for my birthday recently! The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway! Everything was so clean and well-maintained. The décor inside was cozy and comfortable, not to mention beautiful. We only had to walk down a flight of stairs to reach the water where we were able to take a canoe excursion in the scenic area. There are also easy trails nearby for scenic hikes. Every last detail had obviously been considered by our hosts since our stay was relaxing, enjoyable and basically flawless!

    Our experience at this amazing B&B was simply unforgettable. Moments away from Vancouver, it provided my friends and I with the perfect getaway. The secluded location and calm waters of Secret Cove created a peaceful atmosphere. Meanwhile the newly renovated cabin, bedrooms and the new hot tub installation made for a high class chalet feel. Everything has been renovated with taste and each room contains small hints of the outdoors. This became a problem as we were torn between staying inside the cozy cabin or exploring the wonderful trails of Smuggler's Cove. Stephen and Ivan were remarkable hosts, we could not have asked for a better stay! Needless to say, we will be back soon.

    My second time back to this wonderful property. Ivan was very accessible and friendly to deal with when making reservations both times. He was very organized, communicated well and replied to my inquiries in record time! Stephen was just amazing- he went above and beyond the protocol of an excellent host. We can't thank him enough for his hospitality and company. Finally had a chance to stay at their newly built suites and it was an unforgettable experience. One of my suitemates even described our stay as "magical." They truly thought of every little detail, and even makes their own shampoo/soap! By far my number one recommendation for accommodation in Sunshine Coast. Will definitely be back as soon. Thank you so much for your kindness, Ivan and Stephen.

    Our stay at Secret Cove Tree Cottage was incredible. We desired a get away to the sunshine coast and hoped we could find an exquisitely comfortable and cozy cottage that was by water. When we arrived the location was gorgeous and welcoming. The cottage is beautifully comfortable and to simply be there is a step towards complete relaxation. We enjoyed the swaying trees directly in our view out the window. We enjoyed a wonderful canoe excursion into Halfmoon bay and it's beauty adorned with enormous bright red arbutus trees. We enjoyed the facilitating environment that let us relax and put the busy city on the shelf. This cozy cottage is a wonderful getaway for any time of year i recommend it to any one and everyone looking for what i have described. In simplicity it can meet the need to Relax, Reconnect, Revitalize....

    Very comfortable cottage and great trails nearby. The little bay was calm most of the time allowing us to use the available canoe. The kitchen was well appointed and the Hot Tub was a real treat.

    As advertised. Steven and Ivan were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the pictures and wonderful reviews are true to the property and location. We live in Vancouver and for us it was the perfect way to getaway from the city for a couple days. Definitely recommend.

    I would highly recommend this quiet retreat to anyone looking for a break away from city life. We used it for a family celebration and it met our needs perfectly. The space is beautiful with simple finishes and natural wood. The views are indeed stunning. We enjoyed the use of the canoe early one morning for a peaceful tour of the inlet. The property was immaculate and the owners were very helpful before we arrived and onsite. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and small appliances,and allowed us to prepare all our own meals. We enjoyed some of the local hikes and will definitely consider returning one day. There are lots of stairs to the water, so the would not work for the elderly or those with mobility difficulties. The listing was accurate for location and photos.

    We stayed in the cottage for 2 nights. The cottage is tastefully decorated and gives it a "cabin" feel with lots of exposed wood and cozy textures. The sheets smelled amazing! I wish we used the kitchen more as it is very well designed with nice appliances and features. The outdoor shower was amazing! The water temperature was perfect and it was lovely being outside. The dock was great for watching different widlife in the morning. The canoe was perfect- had a lovely paddle to the end of the ravine and out towards the cove. My favourite part of the weekend was snuggling on the couch, watching a movie with one of their hotwater bottles and a fire going in the woodstove. Would definitely recommend for couples wanting to get away from the busy life of the city.

    I love all the amenities they have available at the cottage. The interior design of this place is amazing and up to 4 class hotel standards. A bunch of my friends were there for the long weekend to get away from the city, and we never left the cottage after we arrived. It was very chill and relaxing by the water. The staircase and downhill route to the private dock with a canoe for three was named "MINI GROUSE GRIND" by us. We also enjoyed our moments at the jacuzzi and got a bit chilly so we start burning woods at the fireplace. Us Chinese always love hotpot, we are happy to see there is an outdoor dining area where can happily enjoy our Chinese hotpot. The beds were so comfortable and warm we don't want to wake up. The outdoor shower just add an extra wild thing to do especially in the dark. Everything was great there! We had the best chillaxing time ever. Thank you boys for keeping the place so welcoming and clean and prepared. I will definitely come back during winter time to check out the view by the wooden fireplace and with a hot coco in hand! Won't forget about the marshmellow, or else we will be knocking on your door! :) *Heart*

    It is hard to know where to begin. My husband and I decided to spend our honeymoon at the cottage and from the moment we reached the property to the moment we drove away, we could not have been happier. There are trails galore for hiking and gorgeous vistas waiting to be photographed. The accommodations are immaculate, well appointed, comfortable and so perfectly pleasant. The canoe which is made available to those who choose to use it, is a super bonus and we took full advantage of it. The climb up from the dock is such a good workout, and it makes you totally appreciate the most awesome hot tub ever!! The out door shower was also a huge hit!! Thank you to Stephen and Ivan for their generosity in sharing their beautiful home with the rest of us. We took a peek through the windows of the two suites that are also available and they too, look awesome, The outdoor kitchen is genius! We so loved our time there and do plan on a return visit one day.

    My stay at Secret Cove was perfect! Ivan was super hospitable and always happy to help with any questions. The suite looked like it was straight out of Town & Country - charming, modern, and fabulously stylish! It's a shame that I couldn't stay longer! I strongly recommend this gem for anyone looking to stay in the area.

    My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying here last weekend for two nights and were absolutely blown away by everything. The warm welcome from the owners, and a tour of the property to start our stay was great. We stayed in one of the suites, which had a spectacular view, amazing private patio, access to an intimate jacuzzi nestled in the trees, and the dock where we enjoyed a bottle of wine and and canoe paddle around the cove. The suite itself blew our expectations away as well. The rain shower was heavenly, the bed extremely comfortable, and the style and decor were warm and inviting. I would describe the decor as rustic and modern!! We honestly can't say enough about this special place!! I would consider it to be at the calibre of "The Finest Hotels in the World" and would recommend it to anyone looking for a world class experience. I have travelled and stayed at hotels such as Four Seasons all over the world, and consider this to be an unrivalled experience! Well done to the owners!!

    Sometimes you find a space where your heart feels happy. This was such a place for me. I was enchanted by the attention to small details like the quality of the construction, tasteful design and its modern furnishings. Got to love an outdoor shower! This is a beautiful place, not pretentious but luxurious enough to feel indulgent. You will be made to feel very welcome and your privacy will be respected. As a city dweller it was nice to get away and it was not a lengthy trip from Vancouver. Well, now you know about this "Secret".

    We first stayed at the Secret Treehouse with our children (19 and 21) in July and had such a lovely time that we returned on our own less than a month later. Stephen and Ivan as such welcoming and considerate hosts that I felt we were staying with friends, our comfort appeared to be their top priority. The cabin sits high on a bluff and you could be perfectly happy just hanging out, looking out at the treetops and watching the birds. We did a combination of activities including swimming off the dock, canoeing, hot tubing (after our dip in the ocean), hiking local trails (Triangle Lake is our favorite so far), swimming at Ruby Lake, and checking out a few local restaurants. We all loved the private outdoor shower, very refreshing. The cabin is quite comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. We cooked most of our meals there and sat outside on various decks to enjoy the view as we dined. We highly recommend Secret Treehouse and give it top marks for scenery, personality, stylishness, activity opportunities and ambiance.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cottage. It is beautifully designed and very well looked after. The outdoor shower was spectacular, the cottage itself had everything we needed and more. We definitely recommend it and hope to go again.

    We stayed at the treetops last summer while travelling up the B.C. coast by boat. Finding a nice place to stay when you have two kids and a dog and need to be able to access it from the water is not easy. Treetops accomodated everything for us and in luxurious accomodation to boot. We loved the pretty, long inlet coming in by boat, the private dock for overnight docking, having a seperate cottage all to ourselves, the attention to detail in the cottage, having our own private outside area to eat (and outside shower) in and more. The owners are very interesting, friendly and helpful. They even looked after our dog while we went out for dinner in the evening! Secret Cove Treetops is a treasure of a find and we will definitely be back.

    An amazing, clean place, with great views, very clean, super-super friendly owners and a fantastic relaxing atmosphere. One of the best vacation rental places we have ever stayed at. The hottub was excellent and very clean, the BBQ perfect, and it was great being able to canoe around (for free) right off the property. Thanks so much for a fantastic stay and we will definitely be back!!

    My boyfriend and I just got back into the city after an amazing and much needed getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We arrived at this totally secluded cabin on Secret Road and were so happy to have discovered such a peaceful paradise. Our overall experience was superb from the canoe trip, spectacular hiking trails, smugglers cove and a great Café called Upper Crust in Halfmoon Bay just down the road. Overall our favorite part of staying at the cottage was the HOT outdoor shower. Nothing like waking up to have a shower in the wilderness completely surrounded by beautiful trees. Our second favorite part was relaxing in the hot tub at night, watching the sunset with a glass of wine (only negative was that the hot tub could have been a little hotter!) This place truly is a great escape... I cannot recommend it more!

    This place is magical! Stephen and Ivan's place is the perfect getaway. We spent our time exploring and taking in the beautiful surrounding. I would definitely recommend taking the canoe out and enjoying a nice dip in the hottub.The rooms were finished with beautiful detailed touches, everything one would need for comfort was thought out and taken care of by the lovely hosts! One of our best vacations!

    My partner and I wanted a weekend getaway for the July long weekend and boy did we find a little piece of paradise. The cottage was amazing, private & quiet. A nice escape from the city. We watched the sunset from the private dock and enjoyed the outdoor shower. The hot tub was a huge bonus! There were hiking trails nearby with spectacular views. My only regret is that we didn't get to take advantage of the canoe that was provided as it rained for most of the time we were there :( But we didn't let that spoil our trip. Thanks again to Ivan and Stephan for providing such a wonderful place to stay and being such gracious hosts - we will definitely be back again!
