Located just a few miles from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and delightfully situated on the peaceful banks of Lake Allure where fish abound and where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee from either the large screened porch or one of the two upstairs decks.
Three bedrooms have queen-size beds, private baths and either a deck or porch with waterviews. The fourth bedroom 'The Eagles Nest' has two bunk beds and sleeps 4 more - ideal just for children.
The home's amenities also include: central a/c, local telephone, Dish Network tv, a fully furnished kitchen complete w. dishes and pots and pans and a laundry room w. full sized washer and dryer huge screened porch with two sofas, a pub table w. four chairs and a bench.
Watch the ducks and geese fly in. Birding on the Eastern Shore is nothing short of fantastic. The region is an important resting and breeding stop along the Atlantic Flyway for countless birds, with more bird sightings recorded here than anywhere else in the Va.
There is fun for the whole family at a close by swimming beach on the Chesapeake Bay with changing rooms, picnicking and barbecue facilities and bike paths, plus there is more swimming at the public beach in Cape Charles.
Ten minutes north visit Cape Charles where every street heading west will take you to the public beach and the Chesapeake Bay. Harbor facilities are available at the Town Harbor . For after hrs arrival call in advance and pay in the morning. Enjoy the numerous quaint shops and restaurants that Cape Charles has to offer plus the world class Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Courses. For golf info.call 757-331-8620.
Travelling further north, in approximately 75 mins you can be on famous Chincoteague Island or cross over the bridge to Assateauge Island and visit the Wildlife Refuge and the beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Travel southward and in 45 mins. including the ride over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, you will have easy access to Virginia Beach, historic Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown and the numerous attractions Norfolk has to offer.
Activities: Superb fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, golf, tennis. Row boats or electric boats only on the lake.

This was my third year in a row staying at this fantastic rental home.The first year we stayed I knew I would continue to come back and spend my vacation there.The home is kept very clean with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.Where the home is located it's very scenic,quiet and very relaxing.Can't wait to go back and stay there again.The owner was reliable and very easy to work with.If you're looking for the perfect vacation rental home you have found it!Did you find this review helpful?
