Darling beach cottage on the bay side on Island Court - 6 houses in from the bay shore. Great location in Mission Beach - in the center of it all, yet quiet! Located between the bay and Pacific Ocean! Just steps to both! Once you park your car here, you need not drive anywhere! Close to Belmont Park Roller Coaster & Plunge, beach eateries & pubs, & fine dining right on the ocean! Very close to the many beach shops - souvenier, bikini shops and beach novelities! Take a walk to the Crystal Pier, ride on the Bahia Belle around the bay or take the family to Sea World and the world famous San Diego Zoo. A short drive to San Diego's Downtown Gaslamp District and Little Italy's fine restaurants.

Perfect for family with kids or a couple who wants a romantic get-a-way. This beach house has all the conveniences of home - very family friendly! This single story, 800+ square foot home is truly a darling beach cottage. Built in 1938, with the charm of an older home; hardwood floors and tile. Close to all yet very quiet with dual-paned windows. Full bath with bathtub. Each bedroom has a queen bed and ceiling fan. There is also a single roll-away bed. We now have a port-a-crib for infants and stroller! Living Room has 2 futons (double sized)for extra sleepers. Garage for parking (one car) and a washer/dryer for your convenience. 8 Bikes all sizes, boogie boards, surf boards, beach chairs, videos for the kids. Large enclosed, private patio area with outdoor furniture (seats 10), umbrella and BBQ where you can enjoy the nightly fireworks by the bay(time & weather permitting), compliments of Sea World!

  • What a wonderful vacation. Our family loves Mission Beach and staying at Casa Sofia was wonderful. Plenty of bikes and water toys to keep everyone busy, thank you. Our special needs son learned to ride a bike while he was there. The area was beautiful and everyone was so friendly. We had a great time and hope to be back next year!

  • 6 girlfriends who grew up together in Hawaii met for a reunion/baby shower at Casa Sofia. It was just perfect for us! Bayside bikerides, beachwalks and just a minute away from casual restaurants made it the ultimate gathering place for the weekend. The neighbors were of all ages and VERY friendly. Parking was a bit troublesome with more than one vehicle but it was a minor issue in general. I highly recommend Casa Sofia to any family or small group of friends needing a comfy yet trendy and fun place to stay in San Diego!

  • Casa Sofia was perfect for our family! The house was just the right size with great access to the beach and the bay. We made great use of the patio with the enclosed area for the kids, the barbeque, and tables and chairs for meals. Casa Sofia also had all the beach toys and accessories that we needed.   • This house had everything! We brought some stuff that we never unpacked. We took advantage of the bar-b-que and patio area almost nightly. It was actually very quiet during the day and night. That surprised me;expecially, since it was the summer time.
