Enjoy your week in St. Aug. Beach at this renovated 2 story, 2 bedroom/2 bath townhome. Fully furnished, with all appliances, a sleep sofa for extra guests, this is an economical way to be at the beach and enjoy all the area has to offer. The weekly Wed. farmer's festival is only a few blocks away, many restaurants are an easy walk or bike from home, and it is a 5 minute drive to the historical parts of the area. Whether it is golfing, resting on the beach, shopping, studying up on the history, enjoying all the art galleries in the area, there is sure to be something to appeal to everyone.
The home features an open floor plan, with one full bathroom on the 1st level. Both bedrooms are upstairs, with another full bath. The sofa in the living area does have a full sized pull out bed. There is an dining area with table, and bar seating on the last level, as well as an outdoor porch with eating room and a grill. The second floor also features an outside deck off the master bedroom for additional relaxing space. The home has been recently renovated, and features all new appliances, including washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and has central heat and air conditioning. I do allow dogs, depending upon the type and size of dog. Please supply that information to me when you inquire about staying at my home. A pet deposit is required of $100.

Situated only two doors from the beach, this townhome is also only minutes away from all the other attractions of the area. These include: the famous Alligator Farm, Lighthouse, downtown historic St. Augustine, Flager College, the Fort,St. Augustine Outlet Mall, the Bridge of Lions, the original Ripley museum, many historic hotels, and more. It is also an easy drive to other close attractions, such as Daytona Beach, and many attractions within the town of Jacksonville, such as the zoo, and the golfing area of Ponte Vedre, where the famous World Cup is held every year at Sawgrass Country Club. It is also close to World Golf Village.

About the owner: My late husband and I fell in love with the St. Augustine area when our oldest child went to Flager College many years ago. As a result of that, we have purchased and owned many properties in the town. When my husband passed away several years, I have sold many of the investment properties we owned, as it has been too hard for me to keep up with all the maintenance and work required. This is the only home I own in St. Augustine at the current time, and love the location, layout, and overall setting of this duplex. My son and daughter-in-law live on the other side of the home, and he takes care of it when I am not there. His occupation is property management, so he is on site for any questions or situation the occupants may have. I love being there, also, but still work up north at the beach in Delaware, so I can't be there all the time, which is why I choose to rent it for weeks that it would be vacant. I have never met a person yet who does not enjoy the St. Augustine area , with all it has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Surfside Six: As I stated before, my late husband and I fell in love with the St. Augustine area when our oldest child came to Flager for college. We did a lot of camping here with the kids and have purchased many properties here throughout the years. 5 9th St. is the first property we purchased and the one I have decided to keep. Our oldest child never left the area and lives up the road in Jacksonville Beach. Our youngest, and his wife, live at 5 9th St. in unit B, and our daughter and her family live up north where I reside, but they are frequent visitors to St. Aug. There are many other people from Bethany Beach, DE, where I live, who also have fallen in love with the area when their kids have gone to school and have subsequently bought and own property in St. Augustine. I love my time there, as I have come to know other people there, and it is truly a 2nd home for me. The area has terrific shopping, and cultural events are occurring weekly there. There is a great Wed. Farmers' Festival only blocks from the home, right near the fishing pier. On Saturdays, there is large Farmer's Market on Anastasia Island, only minutes from the home, featuring all types of food, crafts, artwork, and more. If the weather is not good for the beach, the downtown area if full of history to learn about. Shopping on historic St. George St. is always fun, and you will never run out of new restaurants to try, whatever your budget may be. Once a month all the art galleries in town are open on Friday evenings, with wine and snacks, for all to enjoy- I believe it is the last Friday of each month. There are concerts throughout the year at the amphitheater, which is close-by and would be on the St. Augustine website for dates, times, etc. There is always a lot going on down here if you want something to do!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome: What I love about St. Augustine is how convenient it is. It is an easy drive from where I live. It also offers so much variety for everyone as far as activities, whether you are a beach, golf, shopping, art or history buff. It's a great place to go sit on the large beach and feel totally alone on an island, or jump in the water with grandkids and enjoy the great sand and gentle waves, and lots of shallow water for little ones to play. Go fishing on the pier, or one of the many bridges in the area,or rent a boat and try fishing in one of the rivers or out in the ocean. Just be sure to check with a tackle shop about seasons- what is open, license requirements, etc. Walking and biking around are fun- not a lot of mountains to climb, and the weather is usually good. I love the variety of restaurants available, from Beach Cafe on A St., where you literally eat at the entrance to the beach, to O'Steen's, where they sell the shrimp they catch that day and it's the best shrimp I have ever had- you can tell by the lines at certain times waiting to get in- to more fancy restaurants, like Harry's downtown with live music, Creekside(over by Home Depot)- like an old fish camp, with live music and great food. I've been visiting a long time, and there are still numerous historic sites I haven't seen yet, so there is always something to learn about. Shopping and/or people watching on St. George St is another activity almost everyone enjoys- lots of characters to enjoy and a large variety of stores. It's a wonderful area to visit and experience.
