Stay in a beautiful antique farmhouse. Enjoy dinner on the back porch as the sun sets. The farmhouse has three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have twin beds and one has a queen sized bed. Sleeps six. About the owner: We have been summer Cape Cod residents for 12 years. When our two daughters started competing on their ponies and horses on a national level, we purchased the horse farm so that we could all enjoy summers on the Cape. While the girls rode and showed their horses, my husband and I enjoyed sailing, tennis and golf! The girls also loved tucking the horses in at night with apples and carrots!
Why the Owner Chose Harwich:
We chose the old Coleman Farm for many reasons. The most important was the location. The farm is close to the beach, bike trails, tennis, golf, restaurants and sailing. Second to this was the acreage. With two acres, the horses and ponies had plenty of grass turnout and a large riding ring. There is also plenty of parking for horse trailers as well as a wash stall.
The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse:
We all loved having our horses and ponies live in our back yard! The girls loved getting up in the morning, feeding and turning out their horses. Although, mucking lost its charm after a few weeks! After mornings of turnout and riding, our afternoons we filled with bike riding, swimming, tennis, sailing or shopping. Then we enjoyed dinner on the back porch with the horses turned out again in the paddocks and the sun setting in the background. Once the horses were back in their stalls, the girls would get ready for bed and go out in their PJs with carrots and apples to tuck the horses in for the night!
