  During our Italia vacation we rented 4 properties. This was the best. We could have stayed right here the whole time. This property is located very near the most popular tourist sites. I am talking about 5-10 minutes walk and you are there. The Uffizzi, the Dumo add 5 minutes and you are at the Accademia. The property was clean. The property manager meet us, Mariano was terriffic. He went out of his was to help us with the washing machine, on a Sunday evening. We loved our stay in Florence and will stay here again. Thank you Donatella and Mariano.

  We stayed here for 5 nights in October and would definitely recommend this place. The location is great, minutes from museums, the river and many great restaurants. Although it's down a little side street we were surprised at how noisy it was during the night with traffic, church bells etc but I think that's just Florence generally. Donatella was in touch regularly by email and check in was easy as a lovely met us at the apartment. She spoke no English, we spoke no Italian but we managed just fine! The furnishings were comfy, although I'd be wary of small children using the stairs to the basement as they're steep and narrow. Our boys (teenagers) loved their 'den' though! We absolutely loved Florence and having this cute little apartment to pop back to to rest our weary feet made our stay even better!

  Our family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights and found it very comfortable and convenient. Very close to Piazza della Signoria which makes sightseeing very convenient. Both upstairs bedroom and the living sofa bed were very comfortable; air-conditioner worked well; very quiet neighborhood. Even it's on the ground level, we didn't hear much outside noise. Previous review was right about the shower in the bathroom was very small. Heavy people will have trouble turning inside the shower stall. It was not a problem for my family but still felt a bit cramp. But overall staying was very satisfying.

  I have been intending to write this review since I returned from Italy. But life gets in the way of good intentions...My girlfriend, daughter and my daughter's friend stayed in Donatella's apartment for 3 nights on a trip that included several other cities (and apartments). This was our favorite of all. Donatella is very accommodating and has all you need for a comfortable stay. We used all of the beds, since there were 4 individuals, and all were comfortable. The apartment is clean and very quiet (the others we stayed in had bars nearby and are noisy until the early morning hours). The location is ideal for walking to any location and it is nice to be close enough to come "home" to rest before heading to your next delicious meal. We are typical Americans and love our big cup of coffee first thing in the morning before we have our cappuccino and the apartment has a full-size coffeemaker. If I ever return to Florence, this would be my first choice for an apartment. Thank you so much, Donatella!

  This was by far our favorite stay in Italy! Must begrudgingly agree with some of the other reviews that the stairs to the loft and the bathroom shower could be a little dodgy if you weren't careful. That said we look forward to coming back again and bringing our kids to stay down stairs! It was beautiful and so well situated! Look for the fresh pasta shop down the street!

  Fabulous location and fabulous owner. The owner went above and beyond making sure all was okay. When we had a question we could send an email and received a quick response. Always available if needed. They left a very helpful book for guests with recommendations and maps. The only thing to be aware of is to watch your head coming up out of the tavern. Easy to hit it but you won't do it more than twice. Also; if you are a big person the shower is a little tight. It works just fine but my son is 6'3" and said when he dropped the soap he had to open the door to get it. All else is fabulous. Accurate description, very clean and well maintained.

  We stayed three nights at Donatella's apartment and absolutely loved it. We highly recommend it. It's very safe, very historic but modern appliances, facilities and comfortable furniture. The location couldn't be better. I'm recommending to friends and family in USA and hope to be back again soon.

  We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights while visiting our daughter in Italy and we absolutely loved it! Donatello is a fantastic owner to work with, very accomodating, and the location was superb! Will definitely recommend to others!

  We recently stayed at this property and thought the decor was lovely and homey. The location was excellent and nearby grocery store,deli,cafe,restaurants were terrific. We were very comfortable and Donnatella was very helpful,arranging taxis,etc. Most importantly the apt. was ground level and very clean! Comox,B.C.,Canada

  We stayed here in September for 3 days. Place is awesome. Walk to Domo, Uffizi etc. Groceries and take outs are right next to the apartment. It's huge for 2 people. Fantastic place to stay. Yep, watch your head when going upstairs. :)
