This home was purchased in 2007 and completely remodeled in 2010. The home is 2300 SF and convenient to all things Sun Valley!
The bike path, free KART bus and ski lift are walking distance. The home is located on Warm Springs Creek and the sound of the water is magical. There are views from every window of the creek, the mountains and the horse pasture next door. The front deck is surrounded by tall trees providing lots of privacy but a beautiful view of Baldy , the back deck overlooks the creek and has plenty of space. There are patio chairs, tables and umbrella sets on both decks and a large gas grill on the back deck. There are Adirondack chairs on the front deck for relaxing and reading.
Come home from a bike ride and sit on the back deck with an ice tea, a sandwich and a book...and fall asleep to the creek rushing by.
At night, invite friends over and visit on the back deck with a drink and tend to the BBQ and then move to the front deck for a quiet intimate dinner with friends surrounded by the towering pines and spruce trees
Enter the home on the first floor and there are two spacious bedrooms, including the Master. The master has a California King bed, built-in closets, a travertine bathroom and large shower as well as a TV and a dresser.
The guest bedroom has a Queen bed, a built-in closet, and a large bathroom with tub & shower.
Both bedrooms are on the creekside...Sleep with the windows open to hear the water run in the creek and enjoy the fresh air,
you'll probably oversleep, it's so peaceful!
The spacious laundry room with front loading washer and dryer are located on the first floor.
Walk up the stairs to the second floor and see beautiful views of the mountains, creek and trees and flowers everywhere. Decks on both sides of the living room giving lots of space, a large dining table with 6-8 chairs, a buffet, a bar with 3 barstools, a nice kitchen with stainless refrigerator with water dispenser inside, dishwasher, electric stove and oven, convection oven and nice sized pantry. There is a bathroom with a shower on this floor. The living room has a couch and a few comfy chairs, footstool, tables and plenty of room to sit around the fire, a 50 inch flatscreen tv mounted on the wall, with a stereo for ipod, iphone, cd's and DVD's.
Walk up to the 3rd level and find a spacious Queen bedroom with a dresser, desk and closet. Views of Baldy, the creek and plenty of privacy make this room very charming.
There is a single car garage and driveway parking as well. There are waders, shoes (9 & 11) to borrow. In the winter, try out the 2 pairs of snowshoes.
The YMCA, Big Wood River, Atkinson's Park, River Run Lodge, Bigwood Golf, Sun Valley Golf, Sun Valley Symphony, Ketchum center, Sun Valley Resort, Art Walk, all within 10 minutes of the house. If you walk to town, it talks 30 minutes via Warm Springs Golf Course. The Warm Springs Golf course is maintained but used primarily as a dog park, a great place to walk the pups.
In the winter, we are minutes from the Warm Springs lift. You can walk up the street to the free Kart bus, take a 3 minute ride to the base of Warm Springs, or, you can drive three minutes and park at the base. The skiing is world class, the snowmaking is some of the best in the country and the gondola at River Run (about 5 miles drive) is an option for those who like to stay warm on the way up and those who just want to dine up at the top during the snowy winter months. Winter activities are like an Alpine ski village in Austria. Fabulous dining, downhill and snowboarding, and an exquisite new Nordic center with Apres Ski you won't want to leave!
The furnishings and linens are all new and from Crate and Barrel, Restoration Hardware & Pottery Barn. There are lots of dishes, pans, glassware, spices, etc. Two coffeemakers, Senseo and Mr Coffee, wine openers, etc. There is a backpack for picnicking in the pantry and there are 8 folding picnic chairs in tote bags to take to the symphony or flyfishing , wherever. There are beach towels and picnic blankets. Laundry detergent, papertowels, tp, all provided.
DIRECTION INFO:The home is located 2.5 miles from River Run chair and .5 miles from Warm Springs chair. From the house to town, it is about 2.5 miles. There is a free bus at the top of the street on Warm Springs Road that is ONE stop to the Warm Springs lift. You can also take the free bus to River Run and back. Driving to town takes about 5-8 minutes, 35 Mph speed limit.

Our family recently completed a two week stay at this property over the holidays and all we can say is... this was simply perfect. We've been coming to Sun Valley for the past 10 years, and have stayed in a variety of different properties in Warm Springs, River Run, downtown Ketchum and near the resort in Sun Valley. Without a doubt, this was by far our favorite property and Mary, the owner, could not have made our stay any better; she was extremely helpful prior to and during our stay. This property has everything, I mean EVERYTHING, that you could ever need to enjoy your stay. The living room/dining room is warm and inviting and the kitchen will make you want to stay in and cook while on vacation. My husband and I along with our dog spent a wonderful week at this creekside home. The fenced yard was great for our dog, and we spent lots of time on the back deck enjoying the views and the creek. The sound of the creek at night was a real treat. The home had everything we needed and the owner was very helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay,Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners.

The house is working out wonderfully for us. We have loved all the light during the day, and the sound of the river at night. You've got a great spot! I am checking to see if it would be possible to stay a few extra nights. I believe you mentioned that someone is coming in on the 24h. We thought we would check if it is even possible to stay. Hard to believe my time is almost over....so sad! I have had a blast; skiing, walking, and eating great food. Thank you! My fiance and my immediate family enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing stay in this Warm Springs home while we were in Ketchum planning our wedding. I like VRBO and have tried a number of homes in the Sun Valley area. We would all definitely return to this home as it is in the best location (nice culdesac neighborhood, near Baldy, on creek, near golf course/pseudo winter park, near shuttle stop) is beautifully decorated and furnished, and is very comfortable - we were all so relaxed!!! In addition to this being an amazing home, the owner was very kind and easy to work with - a big plus with VRBO. She provided us a great deal of information before our stay, checked on us to make sure everything was okay, and treated us to a breakfast basket (in the spirit of our visit) while we were there. Photos are all current, description was accurate, and home shows pride in ownership. I would not only recommend this property, I would definitely try and stay here again on a return visit to Sun Valley.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We stayed at this property in Summer and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It is part of a duplex but very private and directly on the Warm Springs creek. Inside is very comfortable with three bedrooms each with private bathroom. There are two spacious decks one of which is above the creek.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

About the owner: We live in Tucson AZ and spend part of the summer in Idaho. Carter is a physician and Mary owns a travel company. We love dogs, we love to hike and bike and entertain. We spend a lot of time overseas and working on various projects. We have been married for 15 years and have no children but we have many nieces and nephews all of whom we adore!
Why the Owner Chose Ketchum:
The picture of us is when we first closed on this property, we were sitting on the original hearth. Little did we know we had to replace all the windows and doors and the hearth and mantle and ...you name it! It looked so pretty when we saw it staged and ready for sale...but, we have made it much nicer! We have a lot of friends in Sun Valley and we have been going there for 15 years. We decided to buy this home because we fell in love with the sound of the creek and the neighborhood. We can walk to an un-used but well maintained, Warm Springs Golf Course, perfect for walking the dog. We live next to a pasture full of beautiful horses and our neighbors are wonderful.
We go back and forth but work keeps us busy so, for the time being, Sun Valley is part-time.

We can walk to an un-used but well maintained, Warm Springs Golf Course. We live next to a pasture full of beautiful horses and our neighbors are wonderful. We can ride our mountain bikes right up to the bike path and go over Heildelberg into Adams Gulch, we can hop on our road bikes and bike into town in less than 15 minutes for the Farmers Market or a quick trip to the grocery store. We often ride our bikes to parades and other events so we don't have to look for parking! There is so much going on at all times in Sun Valley, it is great to be close to everything and so nice to come home to privacy, put your feet up on the deck and watch the creek rush on by.
