Vacation at our peaceful Lakeside Overlook, with its beautiful views of Canyon Lake is one you will remember for a lifetime. Canyon Lake is a unique community of rolling hills looking over the sparkling lake fed by the Guadalupe River.
Water activities are easily accessible since we are located 1 block from residential association boat ramp. Boat rentals and slips are available for rent at Canyon Lake’s two marinas for your convenience.
The home has all modern conveniences including: a fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, wireless internet access, laundry facilities and board games to be enjoyed by the kids or young at heart. The master suite is located on the main floor and has a private bathroom. Open concept is the way we like it. All glass windows to get that full view of Canyon Lake sitting in the living room.
The home has two decks with fabulous lake views. On upstairs deck is a wonderful place with upright and reclining chairs for visiting, relaxing or taking an afternoon snooze. The lower deck is open with seating for watching the deer feed – this is a great place for gatherings. There is ample parking for up to six vehicles Exterior lighting is installed for nighttime safety.
One mile from Daisy Dukes and can put your tube in there and float the Guadalupe. You can feed the deer who hang out among our cedar and oak trees in the yard – they may even let you pet them! You will love the calming and natural environment our Lakeside Overlook lakehome has to offer. While you are here, jump in your boat or rent one by the hour at one of the marinas close by. You can head out to the open water for skiing, tubing or wakeboarding. Lake and river fishing are also very popular. Guided fishing trips are available and there is great fishing on the lake for bass, striped bass, white bass, crappie, perch and catfish. Canyon Lake is also known for its amazing sailing conditions, and is one of the clearest and most beautiful lakes in Texas. You just can’t help but have a great time at the Lakeside Overlook on Canyon Lake!
A small grocery store is located less than four miles away. There are a couple gas stations located less than a mile from the home as well. The home is conveniently situated approximately 15 miles from New Braunfels, 30 miles from San Antonio and a little more than an hour from Austin. Canyon Lake is close enough to get to, but far enough to get away from it all! Of course all you outlet shoppers out there San Marcus outlet mall is only 30 minutes away.

What a beautiful home and view! The house was fabulous and the lake was gorgeous and cool! However, we did have to drive down to the lake as it is a little further from the house than advertised. We enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful decks and taking in the sunset. We recommend this house for all ages!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Have stayed here last couple of years with family and always love when we walk in the door and see the great view of the lake from the balcony. Upstairs is great for hanging out with a large group. Sleeping accomodations downstairs are a bit jumbled and the downstairs only has one bath. So whoever gets lucky and has the bedroom with the bath upstairs better be willing to share. The upstairs can get cool while the downstais is a bit warmer. That's why they have the fans in all the bedroom downstairs. This time the cleaning crew didn't do such a good job. The silverware drawing had something spilled in it so we had to clean the dinnerware. But other than a few glitches this time it was just as good as the first time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

To be honest, with the water shortage this summer, I didn't think the view would be as nice but it definitely is. The overall house is very nice and has pretty much everything you need. We just didn't spend enough time at the house to really enjoy the deck and the view because we were visiting Gruene and San Marcos which are pretty close to the house. Tamra from property management was great to work with. The rental went off with no issues and she was available for anything I needed. I would definitely rent again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

About the owner: My husband and I absolutely love the hill country and Canyon Lake, Texas. We bought this home in 2006 and completely gutted it and started over...all for that magnificent view. We hope you will enjoy staying at our home as much as we do.

My husband was in the army reserves and we went to San Antonio 2 x month. We loved it there. It took us 3 yrs to find this home. I was bought sight unseen.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
It is so serene at our home. You can gather on the deck for a glass of wine, or gather the family or friends for a game of chess. The outlet mall in San Marcus is a awesome place to shop. Also the water rafting is a mile to the horseshoe off 306. This is an excellent location. Hope you enjoy your vacation and can totally relax.
