We offer guests an extensive breakfast menu brimming with innovative options. Our menu and recipes are specially created by owner Chef Anjanie, who prepares her dishes with a delicious bounty of fruit and produce from local Paso Robles farms, served with homemade baked pastries.
Early morning or evening strolls are an adventure; you will be greeted by shy rabbits, a covey of quail or a doe with her timid fawn. Enjoy the simple pleasures of a time less complicated. Refresh and relax on the front porch after an afternoon of winetasting, shopping or sightseeing. Indulge your palate with an afternoon mint julep, teas & sweets, our own touch to a celebrated Southern tradition right here in Paso Robles Wine Country.

Carriage House Bed and Breakfast is located in the canyons east of San Miguel, CA. It is a wonderful place to stay. The Carriage House is extremely comfortable and furnished beautifully. It contains a small refrigerator, spacious accommodations, and individual temperature control. Breakfast at Carriage House Bed and Breakfast is a genuine gourmet delight with a exquisite selection hot & cold dishes. But best of all are the innkeepers, Anjanie and Adam Fairbairn, whose warmth & friendliness make one feel completely at home. You’ll enjoy Anjanie’s fine cooking, unique chutneys, and a selection of local wines. I have stayed at many hotels & bed & breakfast inns in California and would have to say this is one of my favorites. Visitors of the Carriage House Bed and Breakfast can experience a wide range of possible day trips, such as: Mission San Miguel Arcangel, Mission San Antonio de Padua, Morro Bay, Cambria, Hearst San Simeon Historical Monument, Paso Robles, and the beautiful lake Nacimiento Recreational Area. We have been lucky enough to stay at The Fairbairns Bed & Breakfast a couple of times and have enjoyed every minute of it. Their hospitality is always incredible they are friendly and very generous. What can I say about Angie cooking except that it is better than any 5 star restaurants that we have ever experienced. From a wonderful breakfast of scones, duck sausage and eggs to a dinner of pork, homemade chutney, desserts, unique local wines and everything that goes with it – everything with amazing flavors and tastes. There are views out of every window. The sun rises and sun sets are breath-taking! Morning and evenings walks are so refreshing, especially when you see the natural wildlife. The natural setting and its beauty is inspiring and incredibly relaxing.
Our private 40 acres, surrounded by commanding picturesque views from 1400 feet elevation, offer spectacular sunrises and sunsets that look as if painted into the natural landscape - a photographers dream.
