Why is unit 1204 the best studio at the Royal Kahana Resort? It’s because of the ocean view from our studio and the recent completed renovation of the unit. Also the way the building is angled to the beach and the floor that unit 1204 is on give it a full ocean view from the interior of the unit. Most other studio's only have a view of the ocean from there lanai, not 1204. Don't take my word for it please take a look at our pictures and compare them to other unit’s pictures, if the pictures do not show an ocean view from the interior of the unit then they don't have one and it's a partial ocean view from the lanai. Don't get me wrong it is a nice view but if you’re going to go all the way to Hawaii get the best view for your money. But I will say the Royal Kahana Resort has some of the best views from any unit for your dollar compared to all the other resorts in the Kahana area, it doesn’t matter if it's partial view or a full view the view is spectacular and you will not be disappointed. The unit was just recently renovated with high end materials. In the kitchen we used Maple Wood Cabinets, Granite slab counters and back splash with GE full size Stainless Steel Appliances to finish off this well appointed kitchen. In the bathroom the vanity has the same maple wood cabinet and the same type of granite used in the kitchen. The same granite was used on the walls of the walk in shower from the floor to ceiling and a turtle design was cut into the floor of the shower. This is the nicest shower in the building. The newly decorated interior has Hawaiian art work and koa wood accents pieces’ that compliment the Wicker and Bamboo furniture that gives a true Hawaiian style tropical decor. Come stay in our luxurious remodeled oceanfront condo with a fantastic view of the beach and the island of Molokai framed in by the beautiful blue ocean of the maui channel. It's fully furnished and has Central Air Conditioning and a ceiling fan provides maximum comfort. If the air conditioning is not for you just turn it off and open the lanai door and let the warm island breeze comfort you. Studio 1204 is fully stocked with linens which include bed sheets, bathroom towels, kitchen towels, and pool towels and beach towels. The unit is equipped with a full size washer/dryer including detergent and fabric softener, iron, ironing board and a vacuum cleaner. The kitchen comes with cooking utensils, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender, refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, microwave, stove, cookware and dishes. We've added a 40' LCD flat screen TV for you when you need a break from all that sightseeing. Our private lanai is ideally located for dining with a full ocean view or watching the whales during whale season from December to May. Our condo is so nice it has previously been a featured unit in the Outrigger Royal Kahana brochures, but now you can rent it directly from the owners. Unit 1204 at the Royal Kahana Resort is the best deal based on the price, the amenities, the view, the renovated interior and the location. My brother and I have gone to the great expense to offer you the best studio at the Royal Kahana Resort and we feel one of the best studio condos on Maui. You will not be disappointed.

Only had 3 days here but they were great!! .Perfect litle place for a couple, great view, well kept, modern , and quiet! Mike is very easy to work with and very helpful. This cute little condo was PERFECT for couples. The location in Kahana is great. It's walking distance to a coffee shop, convenience store and several restaraunts. It is just 15 minutes from the bustling Lahaina town. The condo itself is on the highest floor of the building and the view was great. From the balconby we watched sea turtles all day long in addition to some very active Humpback whales. The condo is completely renovated and VERY well equipped. The owner has truly thought of everything that a renter would need while on vacation. It truly feels like you are staying at a friends condo rather than a vacation rental. The wifi is free but only allows one device to be connected at a time so plan accordingly. Free and plentiful parking was also a plus since most hotels charge a daily fee. Thanks for much for a wonderful place to stay earlier this month. Your condo was exactly as described, and all of the amenities were greatly appreciated. It was beautiful to wake up each morning, and have an expansive view of the ocean. The location was great for being out of some of the more crowded areas, but having easy access. There were enough stores/markets around to accomodate any needs that we had during our four night stay. I only wish that we would have had at least one more day to explore - but we will be back! We stayed at this unit in January of 2013 for 8 nights. From our first email conversation with Mike we were incredibly impressed. He was easy to deal with, answered all our questions and made booking this unit a cinch. From the initial contact to our arrival Mike was great! The condo is exactly as pictured, it was absolutely spotlessly clean and completely updated. It has absolutely everything you need included a great little cooler to carry your lunches and drinks for those days you venture out to explore. The view was amazing and we left the patio door open a crack every night to hear the ocean crashing. No need for A/C at all with the amazing ocean breezes. The building staff were all friendly and helpful! The location is great; it is a quiet area perfect for relaxing! There are restaurants and shops within a 5 min walk! We will absolutely be back to Maui...and we will be staying here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Beautiful studio, even more beautiful than the pictures. The unit was very clean and full of amenities (beach towels, chairs, washing machine and dryer, etc). The view from the unit is amazing, we slept with the sound of the waves! the condo beach is awesome with beautiful sunset and turtles! We really appreciated the position, very close to Lahaina and its restaurants, and the parking spot for our rental car. Mike, the owner, was really helpful and gave us a lot of tips in order to make our stay comfort and easy. The view was amazing. We woke and slept to the sound of the waves. The condo had everything we needed and more including all dishes and cookware, an ice chest, beach towels, and tons of other stuff. The owner was very nice to work with and gave great advice on local things to buy (Kona coffee). We would love to stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This review is a little late but we had to express how fantastic our stay was in 1204 at the Royal Kahana. The owners of this unit were organized and friendly from the very first interaction, The room itself is even better than the pictures or write up could ever explain. It is truly one of the best and most comfortable units at this location as we have stayed in muliple rooms here. 1204 is very very clean and had even more extras than described. We will definately be staying here again and recommend this unit for a worry free and wonderful expierience in Maui.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This condo is fantastic and a great value! The condo is updated and clean. It is also a great location. Very close to Lahina and has a great beach right in front of the condo. The condo has a fantastic view as well. Also the owner, Mike, is very easy to get in touch with if you have any questions and also willing to give you suggestions on places to eat and go around town. Highly recommended!! I also thought it was nice that I received an email after my stay from Mike asking if they could improve on anything and making sure my stay went well. This was my first time to Maui and I plan to visit many more times and stay at this condo every time. The location is perfect I couldnt have asked for better amenities. The owners were so accomodating and the view is breathtaking. The best part about this condo is the value. About the owner: Aloha and thank you for visiting our condo listing. We are two brothers who live in Ventura, California. We are two working class gentlemen who just like to get away from it all from time to time and Maui is where we go. We have owned unit 1204 at the Royal Kahana Resort since 2005. At one time we own two other units at the Royal Kahana but they were in a partnership and it needed to be dissolved. We waited for the right unit to buy and 1204 is the best compared to all the other studios based on it's location in the building and the view from the unit. There are other studios that have a similar view as 1204 but where the unit is located in the building 1204 has the best view. We could have had any condo on Maui and any condo on any of the other Hawaiian islands but Maui and the Royal Kahana is the best. If you've stayed in one of the other studios at the Royal Kahana before, now it's time to stay in the best Studio 1204. Why is 1204 the best? It's the view and the recent remodeled interior of the unit. Why did we pick the Royal Kahana Resort? Because of its location on Maui and the amenities it offers. Also the home owners association is one of the best on the island, the building is constantly being remodeled and updated. The homeowners association is always repairing and replacing key infrastructure items so that the resort is in tip top condition and is never run down. We welcome you to stay in our condo and relax in our little piece of paradise.
Why the Owner Chose Kahana:
The Royal Kahana Resort is located on the beautiful West Coast of Maui in the town of Kahana and is surrounded by Maui's spectacular natural beauty and is located right on the world-famous Kahana Beach. Lounge on or stroll down the un-crowded beautiful golden sand beach that spans about a half a mile where you can go swimming and snorkeling in the warm Pacific waters right in front of the Resort. The Royal Kahana Resort has a lot to offer you. Swim in the large heated pool and sun yourself on the spacious pool side deck or on the lawn near the beach. There are five gas-fired barbecue grills just outside the pool area and a Cabana for dining with ocean views. There are two lighted tennis courts, a fitness room, ping-pong and shuffleboard. Complimentary coffee is also provided each morning in the lobby area. Parking is free with a permit; you can park underground or at ground level. There are 3 elevators to take you to your room. A Concierge Desk is in the lobby for booking your activities. Just a 5-minute drive to Kaanapali or Kapalua, and just a 10-minute drive (if that) to the historic whaling town of Lahaina. Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua have some of the best shopping, restaurants and don’t forget the Golf on the island of Maui.

Besides the view from our unit, the amenities at the Royal Kahana and the location on the West side of Maui we have The Kahana Gateway Shopping Center right across the street. No need to get in to your car and drive to Lahaina or Kaanapali for shopping, the super market or for a nice dinner, just walk across the street up in to the Kahana Gateway Shopping Center, where you can have a bite to eat at RB's Black Angus Steakhouse, Maui Brewing Company American & Island Style Cuisine Microbrewery and Mc Donald’s. Get a gourmet cup of Coffee from Hawaiian Village Coffee House. There is a Whalers General Store and Gas Station, Smile Nail Salon & Massage, Maui Dive Shop, some Clothing Stores and a Bank of Hawaii with an ATM. We are fortunate to have the Kahana Gateway Shopping Center right across the street. That's why I think the town of Kahana and the Royal Kahana Resort is one of the best places to stay on Maui. Do yourself a favor don’t get caught up in the crowds and the high prices in Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua come stay at the Royal Kahana Resort and take a deep breath slow down and relax in the Hawaiian life style.
