  If you'd love to walk on a beautiful beach, look out from the terrace of a beautiful, quiet, friendly condominium complex at swaying palm trees and the ocean, Las Dunas is an ideal vacation spot. We stayed for a week and relaxed in a gorgeous condominium, just as pictured. Fresh coconuts were warmly presented to us by a member of the staff with a great big machete in hand! All we had to do is insert the straw. Plus, after a walk on the beach, I had the infinity pool all to myself every day. Since it's a private condo, we needed to shop for groceries near the airport or in Bavaro. There was a restaurant on the beach and one within a five minute drive, but that's about it. There are several resorts within a short drive for dinner, but the entrance fee for non-guests was prohibitive. Better yet, we had the pleasure of enjoying a Dominican meal cooked by a local chef - delicious - with enough food for several days. We had a terrific vacation. It's different than a resort, but it's unique and lovely just the same.

  Owner response: "Seafood Paradise" is a beach side bar shack offering fresh catch of the day just a short stroll down the beach before you come to "Tropical Treasures" where you can get a beach side massage, alcoholic drink, or Dominican handicrafts. Rafael, the onsite manager, can arrange reasonably priced dining at the buffet in the Sirenis resort next door. The nearby Sivory resort offers dining without daily fees. "Coco's Tropical Seafood" outdoor bar is by the small plaza one mile away. Minimal supplies are available at the 2 local type mini marts in the plaza.

  If you are looking for that beach fix, I would consider this the perfect rental. The photos don't lie. The condo is steps from a pristine beach which stretches for miles that you can leisurely stroll along. There is a nice coral free stretch of ocean with soft sand right in front of your door that you can wade into and relax in the gentle waves. There is no need to get up at 6 am to reserve a lounge chairs and plenty of sun or shade from the palms. The condo comes equiped with fluffy beach towels and high quality sheets and bath towels. We had no problems with hot water or electicity. The pool is great with comfortble loungers and a perfect windfree view of the ocean. It is an easy drive from the airport and takes 45-60 minutes. There are limited resturant options (Cocos is a nice outdoor local bar where you can get a great lobster)near the condo so I would suggest shopping for meals on your way from the airport. Also many TV pograms are in Spanish so next time I will pack a few DVDs to watch at night. We never used the ac and kept the doors open with screen closed so we could hear the ocean at all times and ate on the balcony overlooking the ocean. I miss it already!

  Owner response: Everyone in the area is looking forward to the completion of the new highway which will cut down considerably on the drive time to the airport and into Bavaro for dinner. Our cable has over 40 channels including ABC, NBC and FOX with many shows in English. I have already purchased several DVDs to add to the few that are there now.

  Our family of four just returned from spending over two weeks at the beach front condo and had a wonderful time. This is a great place to get away from it all. Fall asleep and wake up to cool breezes and the sound of the waves lapping the shore. The condo is beautifully furnished with everything you need. The beach was wonderful, most days we didn't even put on shoes because we would spend the day on the beach or in the pool. You can literally walk for miles on the beach or stop at Tropical Treasures for a drink or to get a massage which is just a short walk down the beach. If we weren't on the beach we were in the pool which our girls (2 and 5 yrs old) loved. The weather was perfect and wether on the beach or at the pool you could choose to be in the sun or shade (which was important to us with the girls). The other condo owners, renters and staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful. Within an hour of arriving we had met and been welcomed by a number of people who wanted to make sure we had what we needed. The condo and grounds are beautifully maintained and there is always someone around if you have a question about local restaurants and attractions. The staff is very responsive and happy to help. Denyse provided great directions and information which made our arrival smooth and easy. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a restful and beautiful vacation away from it all. We are already talking about going back. Thanks for making our vacations so memorable.

  We rate this condo as a 5 Star Vacation rental. Great place, the Accommodation were very nice the furniture and appliances are new. The Beach and Pool were fantastic. We will rent again. - 2 Bedroom, 2.5 Bathroom Front Line Beach Condo As seen on House Hunters International this true front line unit is right on the beach. If you weren’t relaxing on your spacious, second floor terraza you would be standing in the sand with nothing but palm trees and breaking surf in front of you and a gorgeous infinity pool with spa to the side. If you enjoy staying at the end of the road in paradise this House Hunters International model unit boasts breathtaking Caribbean vistas with completely unobstructed views. Watch the surf break from your 300 square foot terraza, Living & Dining rooms, Master bedroom and even the kitchen sink! The second floor location, along with full window and door screens, lets you fall asleep surrounded by the sound of waves. New, richly detailed, 1720 square foot unit, has two Master suites. See palm trees from each and every room. Relax in your personal indoor spa before sipping cocktails on your private balcony. Most importantly, being truly front line, you will feel the ocean breeze day and night. AC is provided but we believe you will soon fall in love with and prefer the palm tree rustling sea winds. RENTAL RULES 1. Smoking is NOT allowed. 2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 3. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. 5. Only use appliances for their intended uses. 6. Pets are NOT allowed. 7. Parking: Vehicles may be parked in the resort parking lot and are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. 8. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens, bath and beach towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken. 9. Hot Tub: No children permitted in the hot tub without adult supervision. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. 10. Water and Septic: The property is on a well and septic system. The mineral and salt content in the water is high. The well water may have a yellow color. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages. 11. Storms: Option A: If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless: • The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or • A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest. • The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund:  Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;  Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and  Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.

100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
