Here are your sleeping arrangements: master has king-sized bed with private bath, two queen-sized bedrooms down(one with private bath), one loft bedroom with queen-size bed and private bath, and one loft with four twins. The rest of you will either be on the sleep sofa in den or you will need to bring a sleeping bag. At any rate, you will be sharing the downstairs bath!
So whether you are reading a book on the screened-in porch, resting on the dock with your feet dangling in the water, taking a walk on the 50-acre property, looking for all the turkey, deer, and various other wildlife, sitting in the boat wetting your line, shooting clays, pitching horseshoes, or just plain kicking back - this is sure to be a time your family or group will long remember!

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1999
As owners of several businesses my husband, Jack and myself devote much of our time to our work. As a dentist and interior designer we are both people lovers.
Why the Owner Chose Gray
We enjoy the escape to the "Eagle's Nest" surrounded by the serenity of nature.
The Unique Benefits of this Farmhouse
Just gazing across the 8 acre lake is enough to lower my blood pressure but my husband likes to go out on the pontoon boat and wet a hook. We also like to take a 4 wheeler ride in the early mornings or evenings. Jack likes to grill our dinner in the outdoor kitchen where we can sit and visit with each other.
We also enjoy having friends and family gather at the "Eagle's Nest" where the children can play and enjoy outdoor activities.

When I Think of Home...

I have visited this wonderful place quite a few times and rejected posting a review earlier because I "selfishly" regarded this place as 'home' and wanted it to be available whenever I needed it. What a quaint place to come and just totally relax & "let go!" I have visited many sites (nationally & internationally). This is by far the most relaxed 'down home country setting' I have ever experienced! Surrounded by nature & water; quiet, safe, serene, peaceful and private. ...And did I mentioned safe? The fully equipped kitchen, the rooms (so individually private), the comfortable beds, the lake, plenty of fish...did I mentioned plenty of fish? The outside kitchen and play area was wonderful for the grandchildren. I am so thrilled that when I am already tired, I don't have to go far to be 'away from it all'. And lastly, the owners of Eagle's Nest are wonderful & so accommodating. Thank you! Looking forward to returning soon!

If your looking for a wonderful outdoor experience, this rental is great! We enjoyed the pontoon boat, paddle boat and skeet shooting all afternoon! The disappointment of this rental is the hot tub does not work (and I was so looking forward to soaking in the tub!), the loft bedrooms were a bit hard to get up and down. Overall, we had a great time! The children loved the playground also.
Owner response:We're always thrilled to hear visitors enjoying the "Eagle's Nest". Our family and friends seem to enjoy spending time with us there as well. There's outdoor recreation of various types for everyone with a welcoming and cozy indoor cabin for rest and relaxation. Unfortunately we had to order parts for hot tub repair however, it should be back up and running next week.
Recommended for:Families with young children.

Eagle's Nest Retreat-cabin more than exceeded our expectations. The property is very well maintained and definitely provided the outdoor experience we were looking to provide for our family and friends. There was plenty for the kids to do, from fishing, to riding four wheeler trails, playing on the playground equipment, getting wet in the wading pond, or just tossing a football, or kicking a soccer ball. The adults enjoyed the ammenities of the cabin and the outdoor kitchen and screened patio. It was a weekend vacation that i think will be remembered for a long time to come.
