  I rented this house last summer for a week to host some out of town guests for my daughter's wedding. Had a mini family reunion on the two decks and large inside entertaining space. I was able to have 4 couples and my 80 year old mother sleep in the nicely furnished bedrooms. All of the guests commented on how nice the house was and how smart I was to rent it! Absolutely delightful stay in every regard.

  We absolutely loved this house! We are from MN and our kids live in Missouri and Iowa. This was half way in between and the house was absolutely perfect for our family holiday gathering. It was clean, beautifully decorated, well supplied (including soft water!), and all around comfortable. There was room to be together and space to spread out. The view from several rooms is gorgeous with breathtaking sunrises. It's hard to describe how welcome and at home that you feel in this house--it's just so well laid out and appointed. Thanks so much for sharing this very relaxing retreat with us!

  We took a family trip to the Iowa City area and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Lake House at Quarry Heights. The pictures posted are perfect. They look exactly like what we found when we got there! There are 6 rooms with beds in them, 3 bathrooms, 2 living room areas, a full kitchen, and small kitchenette in the basement, and a huge dining room table that fits 10. We have stayed in several VRBO rentals and we have never had one with such a well stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed and then some. There are also two decks off the house that give a wonderful view of the lake. A full-size gas grill on one of the decks made us feel right at home. The house was clean and we had all the linens and towels that we needed. We appreciated the fact that this is a no pet and no smoking property. This was truly a great experience for all!

  This spacious, lovely home was the site of our family reunion. We loved the large dining room table and other areas large enough to congregate in--the family room downstairs, the living room, and the decks. We ate our dinners out on the lower deck and enjoyed the beautiful view. The number of rooms was perfect, and the furnishings were all very nice. We had a kayak and canoe with us, and the boat dock was 3 minutes' drive away, which was convenient. Dealing with the owners was easy and pleasant. It was a completely positive experience.

  This place is spectacular! The view over the lake, be it with the moon at night or the sun glistening in the day is beautiful. We even got to watch a bald eagle catch fish from the lower deck. Inside the house is great too…plenty of beds and living space for a large group. The pictures do not do this place enough justice. It is big and a good price too! The owner was very easy to work with and even changed some things to meet our needs. We used to go to Galeena, IL for our annual getaway but not anymore...my group will be back again for sure…I highly recommend!

  This house is set outside of city limits and is surprisingly big! Large groups could easily congregate in this house and enjoy gathering both indoor and outdoor (there are two floors of decks!). Nice furnishings, great view, very accomodating owners. Great place to stay for Iowa Football games and local golf.
