Venice apartment description
We rent our apartment for short stays. It is located in a typical Venetian building in the Rialto area, with a small courtyard and an exterior staircase that leads to the upper floors. The apartment is located on the second floor. The apartment is approximately 60 square meters and has an entryway, a living room with a comfortable couch-bed for two people, a bedroom with a double bed, a smaller bedroom with a single bed, bathroom, and kitchen. It is a comfortable and warm home, recently remodeled with lots of light and wood floors. It has autonomous heating, washing machine, refrigerator, gas stove and oven, television with video recorder, and hair dryer.
You will find everything you’ll need for an easy morning following your arrival, with the minimum necessary for a Continental breakfast in the kitchen and sheets and towels provided for your convenience. The kitchen is complete with pots and pans, silverware, plates, cups and glasses and everything necessary to cook and eat with ease.
Casa Veronica is in the Heart of the Rialto section of Venice, one of the most ancient and characteristic areas of the city, with its world famous Rialto Bridge. You will be enchanted by the Rialto outdoor market, which takes place every morning on the banks of the Grand Canal (three minutes walk). The area is a coloured mix of street stalls with tourist wares, fish, flowers, fruit and vegetables, and shops selling bread and pastries, meats, fresh pasta, cheese and Italy’s renowned prosciutto. Small 'bacari,' typical Venetian taverns selling wine and snacks, and homey restaurants (trattorie) line the streets. Our apartment provides a true Venetian experience.
Major tourist attractions are easily reached by foot (Piazza San Marco, 15 minutes; Campo San Polo, five minutes; Basilica and Campo dei Frari, eight minutes; the less noted but beautiful Campo San Giacomo dell’Orio with its ancient church, five minutes. The closest vaporetto (waterbus) stop on the Canal Grande is four minutes by foot.

Wonderful stay in Venice
Wonderful stay in Venice
Our group of 5 was very comfortable in this apartment. We loved the area and felt like we were in the real Venice. We were lost half the time we were there, but that's the fun of Venice. This apartment is large, clean, and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you, Veronica!

Very happy Melbourne family
Very happy Melbourne family
Thank you Veronica for a very nice stay at your lovely apartment. We stayed Mon-Fri in Sept and had gorgeous weather and found the apartment to be clean, safe, quiet and charming. It's even better, and more spacious than it appears on the website. We will be back, and would highly recommend it to any other travelling family. We had our 3 girls aged 11. 9 and 5 with us, they really enjoyed it. We had a fun time getting lost in the amazing streets of Venice. We were greeted at the water bus, and had a lovely warm welcome from a friend of the owner. We could walk anywhere we needed to- San Marco square was 15-20 minutes away, Rialto Bridge a happy 10 minute wander away. Ciao and grazie.

delightful location, plenty of room
delightful location, plenty of room
Our family of four, including 11 and 14 year old kids, stayed here for 4 days last july. Tall ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, billowy curtains and ceiling fans kept us cool and relaxed. This apartment is slightly off the beaten path, in a real neighborhood. The best little deli we found in all of Venice was right around the corner, and the adjacent square frequently had marvelous classical musicians in it. The apartment was really spacious, and my very tall son could stretch out on the bed in the back room and "sleep like a teenager" comfortably. The kitchen was well appointed, and we used it quite a bit because, honestly, Venice is a beautiful city, but the food is often only so so and is always expensive. The big market is so close, and we mostly shopped there and feasted on the most delicious bread and produce. It was so wonderful to come back to this apartment after a long day exploring the maze that is Venice, and open that street door to the lush and beautiful courtyard. We felt like real Venetians. The stairs up to the apartment were not a problem for us, but if you have knee problems, they may prove the straw that broke the camel's back. Laura met us to bring us to the apartment, and was very patient and friendly. Be sure to have enough cash with you on arrival- we were coming directly from another country, and felt awful making Laura wait while we searched for a bank machine that worked with our card. My only complaint is that there was no good instruction manual for the TV. The one rainy evening we wanted to just stay in and watch a movie was nothing but frustrating. Otherwise, a near perfect stay. The apartment was clean, well appointed and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Myself and my family stayed here in December 09. We arrived later than we had intended and Veronica was fantastic, so welcoming and accomodating of us. The night was cold and bleak but the apartment was amazing, warm and cosy, everything plus more was there for us. We awoke the next morning to snow and aqua alta siren(high water) and Veronica called us to see if we were okay, which was so nice of her to be so concerned. Our stay was truly unforgettable and the apartment was a true refuge. Totally recommend this apartment.

Owner response: Dear Carey, thank you! we are glad you are keeping good memory of your stay, also if you had a very bad weather, with snow that is very unusual in Venice! I hope to meet you again hopefully in sunny days! all the best to you and family, Veronica
Thanks again Veronica for meeting us from the Vaporetti even when we were late. As ususal you had prepared fresh fruit and had milk and Tea/coffee for our arrival. As always the appartment was spotless and the neighbours were very friendly. We love staying there and hope to do so again. You really are the perfect host. Owner response: Thank you Julie, we are glad to have you at Casa Veronica for the second time. all the best and we wish to meet you again: ARRIVEDERCI! Veronica and family
Thank you Veronica and Gilberto for such a wonderful Venetian hideaway. We have been twice to your apartment and have booked to come again in Easter. We appreciate so much the attention to detail - the apartment is lovely and traditional and very well looked after. We love the fact you meet us from the Vaporetti each time and that you always leave good fruit, milk and coffee for our arrival. It is a wonderful experience having Venetian neighbours for a week - they are always most welcoming and pleasant when we meet. We also love the fact that the apartment is quiet but also that we can walk to the lovely Rialto market each morning for fresh fruit and wonderful fish. We hope to keep coming back for many years to come.

Thank you for the use of your wonderful apartment while we were visiting Venice! Veronica and her family care a lot about the apartment and about their guests having a pleasurable experience while staying there. The apartment is away from the hustle and bustle but also very easy to get to all the things we wanted to see and do in Venice. The guest book in the apartment had great suggestions for grocery shopping, dining and sight-seeing.

Casa Veronica is a clean, spacious, beautifully decorated apartment with all the amenities you will need. The kitchen is fully stocked, there is lots of closet space, there is a wonderful library for your perusal, umbrellas in case of rain, boots in case of aqua alta, and a mobile phone for your use. It is located in a wonderful residential area away from the crowded touristy sections of the city, yet a short walk to many tourist attractions. I especially enjoyed shopping each morning at the Rialto market & nearby shops for the meals I was preparing, but also loved the variety of restaurants & cafes nearby. It was a delight to become acquainted with Veronica & her family, and I look forward to future visits at Casa Veronica & my favorite city of the world.
