My family and I stayed at the Mountain Creek cottage on Bear Lake Reserve in the Spring for 7 nights and had an absolute fabulous time. The cottage was extremely clean and well furnished. The cottage is so convenient to many natural attractions both on the mountain and off the mountain. We had so much fun up there we seriously contemplated buying our own place like the Mountain Creek in Bear Lake Reserve. We will definitely be back and will rent again from Sundog. Both Caleb and Mark were tremendous when helping us pick the right home and throughout the entire rental process. Sundog. Bear Lake and Mountain Creek get a 5 star rating from us.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, you must check this place out. This is not your average cabin in the woods. This is a luxury cottage home with all the fixings. We really enjoyed the beautiful house especially the screen in porch in the back. The hiking trails through the woods are wonderful with lots of opportunity to explore nature. The golf course on top of the mountain has an absolutely breath-taking view. And then, there is the lake, the club house that offers everything you ever need for a relaxing week in the mountains. We have recommended it to all of our friends and we'll be booking another week soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

This cottage was a great retreat. Perfectly located in the mountains, quiet, peaceful. Sitting on the back porch in the morning , listening to the birds and the forest sounds was a great way to wake up. The short drive to the lodge was easy and the pool was nice and right along the lake. A very relaxing time. We'll definitely be backRecommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Went there on a "Girls Only" trip!!! The Cottage was spacious and felt like home but better. The screen in porch was my favorite, between the wood buring fireplace and the sound of the stream you couldn't ask for a more relaxing space. Would also be great for a family since there are 3 bedroom. We mostly cook at the cottage since there is a grill on the deck and a large kitchen. Can't wait to go back, would pick this cottage again!!! Thanks, Patty from Cincinnati, OhioRecommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

The cottage is clean, beautifully decorated. Perfect for the family or great for a girls weekend. We loved the seclusion of the cottage & took advantage of the pool & workout accomodations at the club house. Had a wonderful afternoon on the pontoon boat exploring the lake & surrounding paths up into the mountains. Can't wait to go back!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

This may be called a cottage, but it's MORE. Incredible, beautiful property inside and out. The closed-in screen porch with the rippling brook is a great place to relax, hangout, and grill/eat with your family and friends. All you need to do is bring your food and drinks and everything else is readily provided for you! The lake and clubhouse/pool are just top notch, nestled in the mountains. I highly, highly recommend this property!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Recently my husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Cottage at Bear Lake Reserve. We heard of the cottage and lake resort through some friends of ours and decided this was the vacation we were searching for. While on this trip, we were astonished of how many activities we were able to do in such a short period of time, while still saving time to relax and relish the beauties of the mountains. We really enjoyed the time we spent at the beautifully designed cottage—and bringing our own food and cooking dinners/lunches for ourselves–just like our own kitchen at home. There were various options for dining/entertainment at the Clubhouse or down the mountain into town as well. Some of the most memorable experiences we encountered were great golf (Bear Lake Country Club, and Sequoyah National Golf Club – both are 15-30 minutes from cottage), visit to a casino (5 minutes from Sequoyah National Golf Club), numerous scenic hiking trails for all diverse ages and physical abilities, spa treatments at the Bear Lake Clubhouse, a trip to the Biltmore Estate is Asheville, NC (about an hour from the cottage). My husband and I cannot wait for our next trip back to the cottage. It was everything we imagined and then some.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our family of four (included a teen and preteen) and Grandma spent a week at this property in August of 2009. Photos are accurate. The cottage was pristine, beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated, well maintained, with all the amenities one woud desire. Location was quiet but close to other on-property activities. Parents slept in the master suite, kids shared a bedroom with its own TV, grandma had a lovely room with a double bed. Most days we cooked in both breakfast and dinner at the cottage but generally lunched at the club, which had a beautifully landscaped pool area and was within walking distance of a lake with kayaking and other water sports. The children enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and tennis, Dad enjoyed hiking and fishing in local streams and the family enjoyed an afternoon on the pontoon boat. Asheville and the Biltmore Estate are relatively close for a day trip. Even the one rainy day was pleasant - grilled in on the screened porch, played cards, watched DVDs and listened to audio books. We would stay there again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers.
