We had a problem getting temperature regulated because there appeared to be about an 8-10 degrees between thermostat setting and actual temperature. Otherwise everyone was very pleased with beds, linens, and the very well stocked kitchen. One recommendation is to notify renters to bring dish washing liquid. Yours is the only rental location we have ever used that did not supply dish washing liquid. I would love to return in 2012, depending on outcome of health. First year at Dolphins Den, 3rd year renting a house at Surfside...We couldn't have been happier. At first we were weary of being at the very end of Ocean Dr & so close to Holiday Inn, but actually it was better....less traffic and no spillover from hotel on beach. Loved the seats on the boardwalk to the beach. Rooms were spacious & furniture not too big as to take up space. Lots of extras too, like child's booster seat & abundance of kitchenware. We went to the beach with three families and had a wonderful stay at this house. The rooms were big and spacious and the layout was good for families with kids. The pool was very clean and was a great alternative to the beach for the kids. The only problem we had was the air conditioner was very hard to regulate. Either too cold or too warm. Everything about Dolphin's Den was wonderful except the dryer in the laundry area. The knobs were off and we had a difficult time turning it on/off. The view from the upstairs room is amazing.
